It's not an accident. It was a mistake by Light. You can see him group his scv's and send them away. But his timing was off and the whole group came back to the bottom side of the mineral field right as it exploded.
Falcon thanks for rewinding to the spider mine kill! I know it sort of interrupts the game flow, but moments like that are priceless and deserve to be seen.
I think light was trying to kill the burrowed ling, just he thought it was a bit further south. you can see him micro his SCVs to the north part of the mineral line. totally backfired though
That early burrow is very nice. It enables the zerg to go do some macro at home without risking to lose some zerling. And when you are ready you can just keep your attack going, potentially catching the terran doing something else. Also forces a terran response which cost resources. Very good move!
The worst thing is that light knew that there was a zergling in the mineral line. He tried to put spidermine and send workers away to they would be safe but somehow messed up really bad
@@FalconPaladin i think that mine is worthy of being a SC1/ SC2 on its own. like an Artosis pylon , but now it would be a "light mine". when a mine kills more of your own units than the enemie's unit lol
at 6:38 you can see Light moving his scvs actively to the north before planting the spidermine. I guess he new about the ling, and planted the mine because of it - but the scvs came back south too early. Real bad luck there. 9:37 and this is why wraiths are usually not a thing. A single hydra is enough to blow it out of the sky before it can do anything at all. It can be countered far too easily (not only by zerg). Well, a Jaedong victory. As a true fanboy of the Dong i have to say: " *Plaaaaguuuuuuuuuuuuuuueee* " and thanks Falcon, of course
I remember, Falcon, you usually say StarCraft is about who makes the fewer mistakes. Well this game had just one but that was big enough to decide the whole game.
If this doesn't pass muster as EPIC, it may at least merit GOSU. That spider mine was siiiiick. Jaedong probably wasn't expecting the mine drag gimmicky burrowed ling in the mineral line to be that good, but he did set that up pretty well. Sure paid off to try.
I just realized... I thought your name was Falco Paladin.. Also it felt like I saw Light just shut off post that spider m ine hit. He was just ready to ragequit but didn't. You already know the answer, you can't make a mistake liek that vs Jaedong without some wacky antics pushing agianst him as well.
Mech build Terran reverse back to Bio is a pretty bad idea. The main purpose of Terran bio build in this matchup is using agility of M&M to keep pressure to Zerg and map control. If the Mech build didn’t get any advantage, it is far better to stay on mech and setup huge tanks line to turtle the Zerg rather than reverse back to Bio...
I think Light did it because of staying on 2 base (lack of gas). You still need science vessels with mech so gas requirements jump dramatically. He should've dropshipped all in or something. It was obvious hes not coming back with standard play.
@@damian_madmansnest ah i see. Hopefully when he comes back he can get back to tournament form! I know he had injuries, wrist i think, but hopefully the military time will rest his injuries

That mine killed 15 SCV's ... OMG!
AAAA, THAT'S RIGHT!
6:35
Zergling: *Burrows next to SCV congo line.*
The Spidermine: "I'm about to do what's called a pro-gamer move."
That spider mine accident was something you would see out of a Carbot Animation Lol
It's not an accident. It was a mistake by Light. You can see him group his scv's and send them away. But his timing was off and the whole group came back to the bottom side of the mineral field right as it exploded.
Light's apm dropped by 80 when the mine exploded haha.
It's like he just stopped playing for like 5 seconds while his jaw dropped to the floor, knowing the game was over.
@@yummyfunnybunny5167 he 100% knew it was all gone from that moment onwards.
One of light's SCVs stayed still, shocked by his comrades' death, for about 15 seconds before it was forced to work in the dangerous mineral line.
:D
Falcon thanks for rewinding to the spider mine kill! I know it sort of interrupts the game flow, but moments like that are priceless and deserve to be seen.
Saw Jaedong... clicked immediately. 😁
He's pretty lucky with that spidermine. A new meta perhaps. 😄
Kudos to Falcon for noticing it! 👍
Just about to leave same comment lol
You can see Light's APM drop when that happened. He probably double facepalmed for a good few seconds
5:28 the crucial moment where jaedong hid his deadly ling, what a game changer!
Is SC possibly the most timeless game ever? People will probably still be playing this in 50 years time.
The entire game hinged on that sneaky ling burrow. Amazing play from the dong
That wasn't even intentional from jaedong
Biggest own goal I think I've ever seen in Starcraft.
7:21 I stand corrected... 15 workers.. one spidermine... all to kill one zergling... this is why Jaedong is a GOD zerg. Ty Falcon!
I think light was trying to kill the burrowed ling, just he thought it was a bit further south. you can see him micro his SCVs to the north part of the mineral line. totally backfired though
Doubt it, why would you risk putting the mine there
Kudos to FP for rewinding to see that EPIC spider mine team kill xDDDDDDDDDD
Jeez, the Zerglings out of that Nydus at the end looked like the stream the game spawns at the end of New Gettysburg.
Burrowed ling was classy! Also, excellent sound awareness from Falcon!
Day9 Daily 100 was a story of starcraft and a loving family supporting each other. It was beautiful.
RIP to the 15 scv's that needlessly perished to friendly fire.
Beginning of this game is a good example of holding the thread of a story without ignoring the game.

"It's not small." - FalconPaladin, 2020
Amazing. You don’t mess with the jaedong.
He said “light handled that burrowed lings thing like a pro” umm falcon at this level they are pros 😂😂
Dayly 100 is just so wholesome, so good... I tear up everytime I watch it...
7:19 CONSEQUENCES WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. also day nine is a fucking awesome dude
6:39 Light: "aaahhh nooo, it was a damn ling there!!!", Jaedong: "hehe, I knew that burrow will work great!"
The worst thing is that light knew that there was a zergling in the mineral line. He tried to put spidermine and send workers away to they would be safe but somehow messed up really bad
Maybe the first time that I have ever rooted for a Zerg. Those were really impressive and cheeky moves at the beginning of the match.
Most valuable Zergling ever? 25 minerals to destroy 750 minerals of scvs
Probably so.
+ lost mining time... crazy value
spidermine : "spidermine wants a hug !!!"
SVC : noooooo waiiii-
*12 SVC left*
rip scvs

6:35 nice zergling spidermine drag with -15 SCVs.
Edit: have to admit, Falcon's reaction to that was better :D
+1 upvote for the weird tag.

Thank you
Jaedong in the title means I will happily watch, like and comment
Thank you, Falcon

One of the most efficient spider mine kills I've ever seen! Only problem was it was his own team!!
A jaedong game and it was as awesome as expected
I think the plague at 15:30 was equally as epic as that spider mine
"How many SCVs were killed by that mine?"
*yes*
That zergling was a true jihadist
Honestly as a zerg main any game with jaedong is a good game! Thanks again falcon!
Of course!
That zergling is mvp
Hey falcon are you working with sub or above 7 inches? we need to know

Aight, GOSU tag added :)
Broodlings and now J using burrowing? Marry Christmas!
Deym..i can't even imagine what went through Light's brain when that mine exploded..
Probably “ shit “
Finally we see some pro burrow use!
When you serve yourself a bowl of oofaloops...
That’s why you don’t drop mines by your workers without having some detection
I believe that I speak on behalf of all zerg mains here by saying "thank you for repeating the spider mine drag" 👍🏼
Burrow :D
i cant stop thinking about that spidermine, the great day nine will tell you the best unit in the game is the Vulture
Just rewatched this classic. A masterpiece. Got any more gosu games with Jaedong in them?
Came for the match, stayed for the mineral line friendly fire. kek
Thanks for this senpai
I think there is a GOSU aspect in JD's actions there
Insane!
good one
Land mine trick was pretty good but nothing beats that thug life drone spiting on everybody's face at terran base.
Is it true that remastered starcraft has discounts this month ?
I'm no pro player but wtf would you ever throw a mine in your own mineral line, without removing your scv's first
I'd love to see a TvT of light vs last. Got any on the channel?

Could Light GG-out after this mine?
Sunday cast? I don't see the notice
As a huge fan of burrow all I can say is YES! HAHAHA YESSSSSSSSSS!
Map name pls?
I like to think that was planned by Jaedong. Or at least he got to see it when it happened.

So is Jaedong still playing? Is he not playing competitively? Why didnt he make ASL that just finished?
Jaedong is doing military service at the moment.

dat spider mine - what a traitor...... :P
6:37 OMG what an epic fail
Can the enemy HEAR spider mines being planted even if they can not see them?
Can the enemy SEE spider mines being planted at all?
yes, no

You can see them being planted if you have view but when burrowed in you can't without detection
Was curious to know what everyone's favorite race soundtrack was???
Terran by a mile, according to the comments I've seen. :D
Gg. Never seen a vulture wraith opening before
Jaedong - good. 1 zergling - Amazing.
There goes the mine :D
the lesson is: always leave a zergling burrowed in the enemy mineral line, might give you a free game.
MVP spider mine
Mmmm, Jaedong!
If I lost 15 workers to my own mine I would quit on the spot
wait is this a repost? i swear i saw that mine thing before
Patreon cast a month ago. Maybe you saw it there?

That spider mine tho.
Wait a minute - Is this the same Terry the Overlord as before?
Basically each game with zerg has a Terry the Overlord. :)
Damn that spider mine raped lights worker line. Poor scvs..
Haven't even seen it all yet but great game xD
:D
Play-gooooooo

15:31 spoiler:
PLAGUEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I hope this game is more interesting than my peanut butter sandwich
For those who care (I know you're out there) I use crunchy peanut butter
Crunchy superior to creamy, no question. :)
Yasssssss you're not wrong at all!
Also this game was definitely more interesting than my sandwich
jd uses burrow!!!
It was super effective.
Sheesh Jae coulda won that game 10 minutes ago. Dudes really not that apt to making good decisions. Sad
Should never have cast this game..spider mine killed it
15 scvs wow ^-^
