I'm from Binghamton, NY, and I can attest that people leave this town and never come back. I left the town when I went out of state for college and worked in NYC after, happily returning for the holidays to visit friends and family. I’ve always wanted to move back to Binghamton to focus on education, jobs, crime, and the drug crisis. I would love to see the Parlor City, Carousel Capital, and the birthplace of IBM make a comeback.
Binghamton is like any other older northern city, years of decline, disinvestment, and deindustrialization have taken their toll. The state of New York doesn’t help matters any with its high taxes and political corruption. We need to change the way we do business in New York or cities like Binghamton, Elmira, Syracuse, Niagara Falls, etc will all continue to struggle and falter.
Binghamton is not alone in its struggling. Other cities like Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Elmira, Jamestown, Niagara Falls are all in horrible shape. Until this state changes the way it does business and starts cutting taxes, nothing is going to change for the better.
So many eyesores it's crazy how this area has literally disintegrated from the jewel that was once known as the Parlor City. I've lived here my entire life and have been down all these streets and all through these neighborhoods. Some revitalization is ongoing, but it'll never be close to what it once was.
I love the State Park outside of town beautiful golf course and lakes

Zombieland, New York.
you can see which people take care/pride in where they live and you can see which people are animals that dont care,,
Good video. You showed the real town, not the nice center block. Sad to see Binghamton still struggling.

The Ironic thing is, there are affluent areas 10-15 minutes away.
Nice work, Juanita Crabb. You started this.
The new zombieland movie is looking good!
Looks nice. I might relocate
Looks much like my own city, Youngstown OH. Rundown post industrial town.
