The fact that your focus is so tact sharp in so many of these is incredible. Especially with how fast youre walking past some of these people. Great shots man
@@SandoClub probably 95% of the time I’m pre focused on a specific distance at which I want my main subject to be. Most often at 3.5ft for the ~waist up shots where the subject is filling the frame. Otherwise I’m previsualizing a frame and setting the distance accordingly. There may have been a handful of shots on this video that I actually hard focused and used the focus pane
@@SandoClub thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed. Get out there! Gotta push past the growing pains and get reps in to build up the consistency. Shooting fast is a nice trick to have in the bag for when you need it
I really love your vdo. Last year I went to Paris with my MP240 this city make me enjoy to snap on the street so much! and your POV with street snap is gorgeous it make my passionate in street photographer again. Big thanks from BKK Thailand.
Hey Peter, I’m only at 01:56 and already I like what I see. Plus I’m now subscribed 👍 Now back to the video. Wow!! Love your work, love your eye. Just don’t be afraid to crop some shots. Keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your pictures. Cheers John 📸👍
Awesome images. I must say that Paris seems pretty street photography friendly. It'd be hard for me to take similar distance shots where I am. People are a bit more protective of their personal space.
Thank you! I would definitely agree with it being photo friendly; I don’t think I had a single negative interaction in my week there. Though I was definitely slow to warm up and felt a bit more hesitant to get in peoples faces than in NYC. I look forward to getting back there with my confidence from this trip
It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed watching streetphotography this much. Thanks! And subscribed. I’m just getting to practice zone focussing, can I ask what shutter speed you’re using when walking past people shooting? On my last run, I got some in focus but they were still blurry, I think I used atleast 500/1 and f8. Maybe it’s my technique, m11 and 28 summicron
I pre visualize a frame and set my focus to the distance I estimate I need to focus on my main subject. Then I approach and when I judge that I’m at the correct distance I snap.
How do you move around and take pictures without people seeming to take notice of you even when you have the camera pointed right at them?! I literally cannot go anywhere to take pictures without people just staring at me the whole time.
1-Comment tu fais pour faire ta mise au point si rapidement ? 2-t'as pas de problèmes avec les gens que tu photographies dans la rue ou que tu montres ici dans la vidéo ? ?
Not to shit on the photographer but for everyone amazed with the ability to focus, on a 28mm lens in bright conditions and on digital where you can use auto ISO it becomes quite easy. Great shots!
Not to shit on the commenter, but none of what you mentioned has anything to do with manually focusing a lens accurately on the move. Not to mention I expose manually.

Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoy the style

Been enjoying your street photography videos, I like the way you show the images right away, thanks!
thanks for watching! glad you enjoy 'em
Great work. My fav camera ever too. An artists camera.
Thank you, it's my favorite as well. there's no system that gives its user more control
I hope one day to have an engineering masterpiece like that
awesome! you got some fantastic images. 🌸✨
thanks I appreciate it!
@@peterherrick of course! now I want to go to Paris haha
Great shots! Love it!
Thank you!
Greetings from Alabama USA 🇺🇸. Great shots!
Great work bro. Keep it up. 👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you!
Well executed strategy on the focus and great to see peoples faces instead of their backsides in your photos. Are you framing in the viewfinder?
Your focus is very good. What f-stop and shutter speed are you using?
Great!
thanks!
Bravo Peter!
4:57 This shot is pure gold! Brilliant 👌🏻
There's plenty of bangers but this one has to be my favorite.
Thanks a lot!
cool 👍👍
Great video, great photos! Instant subscriber :D
thank you! love to hear it

Thanks, I’ll try it the next time. Very inspiring video!
Hi, awesome photos! What lens are you using?
Thank you! Was using Leica’s Elmarit 28mm in this
@@peterherrick Thanks!
Great wish I HAD YOUR CONFIDENCE TO TAKE THAT CLOSE UP OF PASSERS BY
Just have to do it! it only gets easier with repetition
10:43, I thought you were going to put that 🌀 where your heart is and you ended up putting it on your own face, cracking me up.
I failed to focus when I saw people from my country taking photos there😅
Do you know Cartier Bresson that is street photography 📸 in flim
What camera you use to take this video? Is kind of Action camera?
Peter this was so much fun to watch you nail all these shots. Great job man.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
How can you get focus so fast with that camera?? :o

Photographing in a big touristy city helps. Maybe you live in Paris though, then my theory fails.
50mm?
28

can you change title to monochromatic? because I'm looking for m11 pov in full color , title like this is misleading, dislike for me.
Lmao. Sucks for you
More people on phones… for fu… sake ….
Crazy, huh?
Enjoyable but for way too many self pics.
Sucks for you I guess
