Two Hours Following an Animal Rights Protest | Leica M11 in London | POV Street Photography Ep. 14
Просмотров 473Год назад
I landed in London late Friday night, and slept in the next day until noon. I woke up and hit the streets and within twenty minutes I stumbled upon this animal rights protest marching down Oxford Street. I spent two hours following the procession and got a perfect tour down the main streets of Central London where I would spend the next two weeks shooting. 00:00 - Oxford Street 03:50 - Regent S...

Fisheye Photography in Paris with the Leica M11 | POV Street Photography Ep. 2
Просмотров 782Год назад
POV Leica street photography in Paris, France. While on a photo trip to Paris, I stumbled upon a used Leica R Elmarit 16mm Fisheye lens. I didn't even know Leica had ever manufactured one, and so I purchased it without hesitation. In this video I took the fisheye out on the streets of Paris with my M11. I primarily used it in busy tourist areas around the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Video...

Leica x Canon | Concert Photography POV Ep. 1
1-Comment tu fais pour faire ta mise au point si rapidement ? 2-t'as pas de problèmes avec les gens que tu photographies dans la rue ou que tu montres ici dans la vidéo ? ?
10:43, I thought you were going to put that 🌀 where your heart is and you ended up putting it on your own face, cracking me up.
Not to shit on the photographer but for everyone amazed with the ability to focus, on a 28mm lens in bright conditions and on digital where you can use auto ISO it becomes quite easy. Great shots!
Not to shit on the commenter, but none of what you mentioned has anything to do with manually focusing a lens accurately on the move. Not to mention I expose manually.
Great photos man, keep it up. I enjoyed the whole video❤
What lens are you using for this set? Is the M1 fixed 35mm?
M11 with the Elmarit 28mm
I failed to focus when I saw people from my country taking photos there😅
How do you move around and take pictures without people seeming to take notice of you even when you have the camera pointed right at them?! I literally cannot go anywhere to take pictures without people just staring at me the whole time.
Photographing in a big touristy city helps. Maybe you live in Paris though, then my theory fails.
Your focus is very good. What f-stop and shutter speed are you using?
I hope one day to have an engineering masterpiece like that <3 Really nice shots!
What camera you use to take this video? Is kind of Action camera?
wondering how you're getting perfect focus shots fast on the m11 ... would love some advice
Enjoyable but for way too many self pics.
Sucks for you I guess
I really love your vdo. Last year I went to Paris with my MP240 this city make me enjoy to snap on the street so much! and your POV with street snap is gorgeous it make my passionate in street photographer again. Big thanks from BKK Thailand.
Well executed strategy on the focus and great to see peoples faces instead of their backsides in your photos. Are you framing in the viewfinder?
went on a street shootout myself. Were you manually focussing or did you crank your aperture at F11 and zone focused? Cool shots man.
thanks. Zone focusing is bit of a misnomer to me. I pre focus to specific distances based on the composition I want around my main subject
Thank you for the great shots. Do you ask the people for permission to publish ? I am still afraid to publish without asking.
I do not. What you see in the video is the extent of my interaction. There’s no obligation to do so and would just be infeasible to stop after every shot and wrangle people
can you change title to monochromatic? because I'm looking for m11 pov in full color , title like this is misleading, dislike for me.
Lmao. Sucks for you
hey, how do stay motivated to go shooting and stay focused in the extreme heat? that's awesome
It’s funny you should ask, because on this day I was particularly unmotivated. I was tired to begin and the heat didn’t help. To combat that though, I slowed things down, went to the park and shot such that I didn’t needed to be running around a busy street corner like I tend to. When I did make it back to the street I sat posted up on 42nd and 5th for like 45 minutes without moving. Otherwise water, caffeine, food, music, taking a break, etc tend to help refresh me
Do you have the color in the pictures original from the camera or processed?
I shoot raw. converted to BW in LR, minimal processing by adjusting highlights, shadows, blacks, whites, and a little texture and dehaze
@@peterherrickVery cool color
Great work. My fav camera ever too. An artists camera.
Thank you, it's my favorite as well. there's no system that gives its user more control
I really want to get an M11 but I’m still a little unsure about the manual focus since I also mostly do street photography of people. How are you able to so effortlessly get everything into focus when people are walking towards you so quickly?
That’s the magic of the M system: it’s as fast and as accurate as it’s user. The ceiling is vastly higher than any auto focus systems. I just previsualize a frame, set the focus to the distance I want my main subject at, and then shoot when I judge they are at the distance I’m prefocused at.
@@peterherrick Zone focusing... thanks Peter. I should practice this on my current camera before pulling the trigger on the M11.
its always a good day when peter uploads
Do you know Cartier Bresson that is street photography 📸 in flim
Wondering why you haven't went with the Monochrom since all I've seen so far after 3 wonderful vids is awesome B&W work.
Thank you! It’s funny you should. When I upgraded from my M10P to M11 a few months back I went into the store hoping to find an M10M.. then a few weeks after my purchase the M11M was released. I also do some concert work where I want the potential for color, not sure if I will pull the trigger on swapping to the Mono. Very well could happen tho
That light is crazy sublime And the ambient audio catching half sentences is also wonderful
What are you doing 😢😢
And great video, by the way.
Just curious about something: is that the shutter dial you keep moving?
Adjusting the ISO. Aperture and shutter are locked at 8 & 1/1000th
Nice ! Thank you !
IMO, Why does it seem that people who shoot Leica like to take photos of random people in the street?
Because the M system is the fastest camera system in the world and is perfectly tailored for shooting fast on the street
Been enjoying your street photography videos, I like the way you show the images right away, thanks!
thanks for watching! glad you enjoy 'em
Nice ! Thank you ! 👍👍👍
not only are your photos stunning, the video alongside is very realistic and paced. A perfect ratio! Never stop, loving these!
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoy the style
Some good shots in here. I felt this video would have been easier to watch with music; the noisy NYC background was a little distracting.
That’s the point. The video gives the full context of the shots.
If you want people to watch the video get a better thumbnail for the video.
hmm i smell sarcasm
What focal length are you shooting with, 28?
Yep using the Elmarit 28
@@peterherrick Thanks, I’ve been looking at that. I’ve never been a 28 shooter but I’m trying to get closer these days. Very much out of my comfort zone but I want to give it a shot.
@@ka_sh_iif it's a lot of frame to manage, but very rewarding if you can get over that hump of stepping in close. most of these were shots at 3.5ft
Really great style of video. Thanks for making these.
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching
You can’t tell me that wasn’t a Chupacabra on that woman’s shoulder.
Another great video!
Great content! 16:39 is 60 Minutes Correspondent, Bill Whitaker.
That’s funny, I never would have known that. Thanks for the comment
What kind the lens you use?
Elmarit 28
Shooting street with a fisheye? That's a new one on me. Good work here.
Peter this was so much fun to watch you nail all these shots. Great job man.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
Great photos man...
Thank you!
You got a ton of good stuff here, dude.
thanks a lot!
50mm?
28
what lens were you using?
Elmarit 28
It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed watching streetphotography this much. Thanks! And subscribed. I’m just getting to practice zone focussing, can I ask what shutter speed you’re using when walking past people shooting? On my last run, I got some in focus but they were still blurry, I think I used atleast 500/1 and f8. Maybe it’s my technique, m11 and 28 summicron
Thanks for watching. I'm always locked at f8 and 1/1000
Thanks, I’ll try it the next time. Very inspiring video!
I was looking for street photographers on here and some just talk too much or tell us what we should and shouldn't do. You sir, is the content I've been looking for especially in NYC where legendary street photography happened. Keep up the good work, and inspire me and others to do what we love. Thank you!
Thanks a lot. I’m glad you like the style of my videos. I’m really just putting out the type of videos I want to see. Constant action showing the greater context of the photos.
I honestly belive you deserve so many more subsribers than you have right now, hope you stay consistent because you inspire me to shoot with my leica q!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate. I’m out shooting/filming as we speak. Hoping to stick to a video every Monday for the next few months to see what happens
@@peterherrick Well, you just got one more.
