- True Crime RUclipsrs! This week, we are switching up true crime and makeup again, and we are focusing on another important True Crime case. We are covering the case of Ahmaud Arbery, who was gunned down while out on a job on the neighborhood off Satilla Shores.
Three men have now been convicted, Gregory McMichael, Travis McMichael, and William Roddie Bryan. They will be held accountable and sentenced on January 7, 2022 for this senseless crime, but I wanted to share the full story with you as told by numerous resources as well as court documents.
I did not include the actual video out of respect for Ahmaud Arbery and his family.

Update: Travis and Gregory McMichael have both been sentenced to LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE.
William "Roddie" Bryan has been sentenced to LIFE WITH PAROLE.
I am so very happy to hear that justice was done for these disgusting monsters. My only wish would be that the same could be said here in the UK as our justice system etc is pathetic. I hope these monsters experience the same in prison and are treated like the animals they are.

I’m from the South Ga/North Fl area (raised in Valdosta/currently in Jacksonville, Fl) and I had the honor of protesting and praying for Ahmaud in Brunswick. Thank you for covering this case.
Also, there is footage of multiple ppl (couples, a child, etc) going in and out of the property that was under construction, but they were mostly white.
This area of the south is VERY racist and still operates under a “plantation mentality”. This is an unfortunate landmark case for GA, but I hope the culture of racism and white supremacy can begin to subside.

@@stellamary204 Thank you 🙏🏾 A lot ppl don’t understand until you drive through/visit these areas. Driving around with Confederate flags mounted to back of pick ups/ off the interstate is commonplace. I could go on forever about this, but just look up the stories of Kendrick Johnson and Mary Turner… they give a clear picture that barely anything has changed in 100 years.
Thank you for sharing and being a part of change! I have family that live in the rural south so I know what it is like first hand, and not a ton has changed unfortunately. I am also glad that you pointed out that there was actual footage of other people walking in and doing the very same thing that Ahmaud did and they got to live another day. Just sad.

Thanks for sharing!! I truly appreciate it! I just wanted to be a good source of as much information on this case that I could gather so people understood the full story. This man was not burglarizing or stealing anything. Per the police, at most he was trespassing and all of this resulted from that. Such a shame.
Why can't people just mind their business. Call the police and let them do their job but it's not a civilians job to HUNT down another civilian. I'm so happy justice happened for Ahmaud but this should not have been a thing to begin with. Thank you for this video.

This case is so heartbreaking. I had to put it on mute when you started describing them cutting him off with their truck, my stomach literally began turning. I’m still letting it play so you can get your view but I’m not in the space to hear the details of this story right now. It’s so exhausting being Black in this country.

Yeah, you have to be very careful where you go/move in the south and that is so sad that we still have to say these things and be so cautious even today. Glad you got outta that jam!

Happy New Year Brandi and thank you! I try my best to tell these stories in a way that pays respect to all of the victims that we talk about here. These cases are so hard to talk about without getting emotional! I am hopeful that we will see a proper sentence tomorrow.

This case was so infuriating. The DA that didn’t charge them to begin with should be charged as well. Please do Elijah McClain. I’ve been watching his friend post some videos of him on TicTok. He was such a kind person and even his last words to the cops break my heart. He’s been on my mind so much lately.

I was so pleased with the outcome of this case!! I can't wait to see them put UNDER the jail!! I feel for the home builder too... I wouldn't want to live there now.
Yes, and I will be even more pleased with the proper sentencing tomorrow. But further than than, I am happy with the change in legislation that this case has brought about in states like Georgia.
Thankfully these men were charged. Sadly Ahmaud lost his life, can't believe racism is still so present 😢
Teach your kids to love everyone, they learn from their parents, show them kindness, be a hand for the person that needs it.
That's all that we can do is to raise our children to be better human beings.
I watched this trial from opening statement to closing impact statement. When the final sentencing I was happy yet sad. Because Ahmad Aubrey still lost his life , and in essence these three perpetrators lost their lives also.. rightly so.. but it was a horrible event all around.. . What I don't understand is they call the police every time, and this time they chose to chase him I just will never understand that part.

Great video! This was such a heartbreaking case. I kinda want to find where they're imprisoned and write those murderers a few hate letters. Hopefully they are suffering everyday in jail as they rot away.

Honestly this story broke me when it happened. he was straight up lynched because he was black so many of their excuses were bs and the truth is they don't see us as humans we are just creatures to them. I am so happy this story ended well because they way it was buried by the DA did not make for a great start. THESE STORIES are true crime and deserve to be talked about as such #sayhisname
This case made me sick to my stomach! I am so glad some good things came out of it, but it took another Black man losing his life and having his family changed forever to do what should have been done years ago!

This is so tragic, and very sadly reminds me of Emmett Till. In this day and time, we can't just observe and usecpractical judgment without applying common sense snd lack of credible reasons. Also, if this is self defense, I'm the Pope.
