  • This tool tensions metal cable ties and then automatically cuts the end flush. So no more cuts on badly trimmed steel cable ties. The Pheonix Contact Unifox cable tie tool can handle cable ties up to 7.9mm wide and 0.3mm thick. Tension is adjustable to suit cable types and fixing methods.
This is the best metal cable tie gun we've tried, but let us know by dropping a comment if you have a better one.

Panduit's PBTMT or PBTMT/E battery operated gun does exactly the same and is a great fit when installing large volumes of thicker metal ties. Great tool if you want to avoid the hand fatigue which comes from ratchet tools!

I have to say I agree with Gordon, that is a good tool if you use a lot of metal cable ties,
The on for plastic ties is a waste of money and pointless s as you can get a clean flush cut with a pair of nail clippers or that knipex flush side cutters witch is a fantastic addition to your tools bag . Fantastic video guy’s as always 👍👍👍❤️

They should be easily opened with a pin to push ball back to open ,
can be used on vehicle cv booth instead of clip type that come with them,

The cable tie gun seems really good. I'm glad there isn't a short bit left sticking out after cutting.
The gun I use does leave a small 'razor blade' sticking out (I saw the youngster using the same tool, at the start of the video).
It looks much easier to fit cable ties on that cable tray.

you can undo metal ties by sticking another metal tie in the back to raise the pin and it slides out

I'm sure that is a useful tool when doing a lot of steel cable ties. I assume no trickery is going on here, because when he tensioned the first steel cable tie, it looks like he barely pulled on the tail end to make it tight. Any tool could make that a tighter connection.
