IS THIS THE BEST METAL CABLE TIE GUN?
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 31 май 2024
- This tool tensions metal cable ties and then automatically cuts the end flush. So no more cuts on badly trimmed steel cable ties. The Pheonix Contact Unifox cable tie tool can handle cable ties up to 7.9mm wide and 0.3mm thick. Tension is adjustable to suit cable types and fixing methods.
This is the best metal cable tie gun we've tried, but let us know by dropping a comment if you have a better one.

Panduit's PBTMT or PBTMT/E battery operated gun does exactly the same and is a great fit when installing large volumes of thicker metal ties. Great tool if you want to avoid the hand fatigue which comes from ratchet tools!
I have to say I agree with Gordon, that is a good tool if you use a lot of metal cable ties,
The on for plastic ties is a waste of money and pointless s as you can get a clean flush cut with a pair of nail clippers or that knipex flush side cutters witch is a fantastic addition to your tools bag . Fantastic video guy’s as always 👍👍👍❤️
Thanks Sean
Okay guys. Thank you for the demonstration and explain
As far as my memory goes back, even as far as 1970, In New Zealand there have mainly been metal cable clips used here.
I have the black one with the leaver you push up like the one at the start of the video it's fit for purpose and only 30 quid nice demo gents keep them coming
30 quid - you did well CEF sell the Engex one for 95
@@efixx I think it was off ebay last year
bought my plastic zip tie cutter in 87 and still use it to this day, looks same as yours
They should be easily opened with a pin to push ball back to open ,
can be used on vehicle cv booth instead of clip type that come with them,
The cable tie gun seems really good. I'm glad there isn't a short bit left sticking out after cutting.
The gun I use does leave a small 'razor blade' sticking out (I saw the youngster using the same tool, at the start of the video).
It looks much easier to fit cable ties on that cable tray.
you can undo metal ties by sticking another metal tie in the back to raise the pin and it slides out
Will they tension plenty tight for cv axle boots and to use as hose clamps?
Was just wondering that too 😂 tried it yet?
@@lordshredsworth7772 no, I was wondering for future reference. Didn't have any projects yet.
I'm sure that is a useful tool when doing a lot of steel cable ties. I assume no trickery is going on here, because when he tensioned the first steel cable tie, it looks like he barely pulled on the tail end to make it tight. Any tool could make that a tighter connection.
You can reopen these ties if you Push another into the side opposite the side you have the excess
143 quid. I'll get 2 and keep one for in case me prince albert comes loose 🍒 😮
😬
Is that with discount?
Look after it & it’ll last 20 years… or £7.15 a year!
Costs me more than that in plasters from cuts off the bloody things 😂
Placcy cable ties can be dangerous if not cut flush, these metal ones can do some real damage.
PBTMT-E Battery operated cable tie gun
Now that’s a cable tie gun!
Got a link
Tlc version is exactly the same for £30
Gary, calm down! You get me stressed. Gordon is so much more relaxing to watch.
Cut my wrist open from some idiot not doing steel ties properly and there was a nice pool of blood on the factory floor. Had to run downstairs and clean it up before the clients noticed.
Ouch 🤕
Good tool good price but sorry, i will keep to using my side cutters and folding the sharp end over. I can't justify the price
WOW 💰 💴 💵
Is made from metal ...
Looks good but pricey 😒
Use pvc cable tie
Unless you seriously need to use these on a daily basis these are way beyond the price point of the occasional user, which in reality is less than 90% of electricians. 🤷🏻♂️
Any time you use plastic trunking above MT2 you need them now to avoid premature collapse. Better than all round band & don’t rust!
£143 💷💷💷💷🤔🤔🤔
Go on treat yourself 🧖♀️
