He walks with such confidence and energy, usually male models walk so stiff and dead but he just changed the whole game.
He changed the game of walking? He's just stomping like that one nerdy kid in class while still in the awkward phase. You know the one that tucks his t-shirt into his khakis and naruto runs during recess
@@lilred5515 yes it changed the game cus runway shows are about the clothes, when u have a good walk u notice the person and obviously the clothes they are wearing. In this case since his walk is in a way distracting and weird everyone is gonna turn heads and see him. Plus most of the time designers tell the models how to walk, if u notice in some clips he is walking casually maybe cus the designer told him to and in the next he is just stomping ,its mostly cus the designer must've asked for attention grabbing walks. (Many high fashion brands ask models to walk weirdly cus it grabs attention) for example Cara Delevingne she has a strange walk too but it's attention grabbing. Edit : plus it takes alot of confidence to walk like him, usually male models just don't even put in effort and walk like they are casually going to the grocery store. So he is very different

I love that he changes his walk based on the shoed that he’s in and really embodies the clothing that he’s modeling by being able to of course have his theatrical over the top performance but also balance it with just a solid runway walk. He’s definitely a supermodel in my opinion.

Leon Dame has a masculine energy aura but also a feminine hint in his aesthetic. That’s his magic in my opinion
I love his name - Dame - which, in English, suggests a man who is comfortable with androgyny. But then it also sound like "damn," which goes with his fierceness.
@@sujatabose7983 if you care, in German it means "Lady". So the connotations definitely differ for other countries
@stewagner - in English it also means lady so it sounds like a man who doesn't mind being a bit androgynous.
@@sujatabose7983 Oh, I understood it a different way. Still in German it is used like this far more, rather than being a more obscure word like in English, so there is some difference. On the other hand at least I'd pronounce it a different way since it is a name, so you are right that that subtle but not strinking message in the name comes across. Just wanted to point out this also applies to German, as he is one.
I think he understands that modelling is not just walking but an art where you have to give the clothes thire own personality

I think the way he walks, struts, stomps, whatever- the way he presents himself on the runway is quite captivating. I feel like he truly feels confident in what he is wearing, he embodies it in fact. He makes me feel like if I were to wear those clothes, I would be as unstoppable as he is on the runway, that I would be able to stomp and strut and own my truth in them and well, isn't that the whole point ? To make us feel like these clothes will solve our problems ?

Look, the Gandy and Beckfords are great for solid Nautica polo runway. The 80s 90s male masc model. The industry needs that to sell the lifestyle, campaigns. But some of us want fun and electricity. Dames gives something unexplainable. The fantasy and allure. Some of us love it. For example, 1:20 looks like the fictional fantasy characters I sketched as a teen girl. I'd never thought I'd ever see male models be that now that I'm a older.
Totally, and just before the 1:20 outfit, he is stunning in the long coat and knee high boots, very Edwardian 🙂
