It blows my mind that dyson answers its customers plea for a mop head by making them by an entire new vacuum. Just goes to show their priorities are profits over customers.

That’s dumb. You are clearly a dumb ass. You an engineer dumb ass? No you’re a dumb fuck. The reason they had to make a new vacuum is the submarine needs different internals to interact with mop head and needed more power hence they made it. Lol and profits over customer…..maaaaaaaan you are the kind that are dumb and I wish the worst for you cause you too dumb. They a company. You’re fucking company unless you a priest does the same. That’s how the world works. To run a company is expensive. Dyson is as customer centric as they can be. No company with a brain would comprise profitability. You do you Dyson. Can you already give information on which vacuums the submarine wet roller will be compatible with?
There will be new model coming out specifically compatible with submarine. It wont be backwards compatible
@@Wontjusz i am not sure though. Since they also have a submarine v12s model. So unless they made a completely new old model, i think it could be possible that it is just a v15/v12 with other accessories and it could maybe be sold seperatly.
Articles I have read seem to be unsure too. So i think its very unclear at the moment

@@Gorgggg When you insert the submarine, the vacuum cleaner uses all the energy for that without vacuuming (in fact the submarine is closed in the part where it hooks). The already existing v12 and v15 do not have a software function to control it properly and also to stop the suction.
If they have the pins arranged in the same way for the power hookups, it would in theory be possible if they would allow us to update software, but I've never heard of dyson prepping existing models for software updates.
Takes longer to clean the Dyson than it would to just mop the floor.
I just bought this a few days ago and used it for the first time. Cleaning it is easy and fast, and it worked like a charm on my hardwood floors. Love it.
Me too @@dkmullaly , I returned it a week later. I already had the V15 and kept that, mopping is literally faster . Lol maybe because I'm young I'm fast idk
I also bought this and not sure. Seems quite involved washing compare to Vileda bucket for $57 from Bunnings. I have not yet confirmed but might be it is washing better. Will be testing again. For me the main driver was to buy is to wash and avoid vacuum kitchen. But seems you ideally need vacuum first and then wash. I was hopping if not much stuff I could wash without vacuuming. But washing gets complicated.
Please Dyson bring out a dedicated wet floor machine like Bissell does!

Can i use floor cleaner solution with the submarine head?

To achieve an optimum ‘clean floor’ finish without over saturating, the wet roller head has been engineered with an eight-point hydration system, using a pressurized chamber for even water distribution across the full width of the roller. So no solutions are needed! :)

Why would anyone do this every single time when they can just use a mop??
bet it works with all dysons from v7 upwards. the fluffy roller with the laser light does. the only thing would be that it would suck down the pipe. but by the looks of it its a close off head so as long as the prongs send power, it should spin the roller. if this is the case you won't hear it from Dyson.

@@dyson Since the Submarine head is blocked off their is no water to suck up. So who cares if the motor still runs?

I bet they can turn off the suction, as the submarine head is fully blocked off. It would probably damage the motor.
The mop head's limited runtime of 15 minutes suggests that its dedicated motor may be more powerful than those of other brush heads. This could mean that running the main motor simultaneously would draw even more power, further reducing the mop head's operating time.
I'm a big fan of Dyson's technology, but I'm in a bind. I need a new vacuum cleaner, but I'm holding out for their new product. I don't want to waste my hard-earned money on a temporary solution that's just going to end up being replaced soon.
Why can’t you buy and add the submarine attachment for a V12 detect slim absolute? Please tell me the reasons?

I get where Dyson is coming from though, it's hard to retroactively update the firmware of the millions of units already shipped.
But they could have made some program where customers could bring their vacuum to some dyson customer service and they could update the software for them if they bought the attachment from an official dealership or directly from Dyson. No one is going to buy a new 900$ vacuum just for a mop attachment. But this was my first dyson vacuum so I went with the submarine. It's pretty awesome ngl and works better than a hand mop. Less water usage and you always mop with clean water unlike a hand mop.

What I need is Dyson to come up with their own upright cordless steam mop … the ones on the market are not reliable and break very fast ! I trust Dyson to make one that is reliable !
Is it right to wash the engine in the wet floor nozzle?
Dyson cleaner heads for dry floor cleaning, such as the Motorbar cleaner head, should never be washed or submerged. But the process shown here is correct specifically for the Dyson Submarine™ wet roller cleaner head.
Random question, is it ok for water to get in contact with those 2 power prongs, at the connection point, when washing the head?
Hi Anoop - no, please make sure the connection pins in the neck aren't exposed to water. This could cause damage to your machine not covered under guarantee.
Is there a spare for the mop (blue part)?
Yes, replacement wet rollers will be available to order direct from Dyson.com, so you can replace them whenever needed!
What a failed design, the amount of effort it takes to clean and dry the wet roller you might as well just mop the floor using a swifter. I cant believe in this day and age Dyson who suppose to be the industry leader released this half ass product without the ability to auto clean and auto dry the wet brush. The brand is becoming increasingly irreverent with every iteration of the Chinese competitors like roborock.
It doesnt even have self cleaning technology like other competitors out there. They are basically the apple of vacuum

Just get any random aftermarket wet cleaner for your Dyson. I just bought one used for 10 bucks. No way this thing is worth 300 more.
How big the area if i want to mop the house with that 300ml tank
The 300ml clean water tank covers flooring up to 110 m2, although this will vary depending on how you use the machine. Once the tank is empty, it's quick and easy to refill.

The Dyson Submarine™ wet roller head is not compatible with any of our other vacuums, including pre-purchased V12 machines. To intelligently switch between wet and dry cleaning, this version of the machine has been reprogrammed. Our previous software is not compatible with wet floor cleaning.

Dyson makes the best products but are the greediest company there is and have by far the worst support I've ever had to deal with, they straight up lie to their customers. If you buy their products you better pray that you never have to deal with them.

I agree. Dyson lies like no company I have ever come across. I’ve had absolute worst experience with their customer support. I regret buying their submarine. The mop is such a cumbersome, inefficient product above a beyond the lies of their support team.

It's fine to maintain the Dyson Submarine™ wet roller head as shown in the video guide - it's been designed and tested to ensure it can be thoroughly cleaned after use to help avoid odours. But please note this method should not be used on other Dyson motorised cleaner heads!
