2. NEVER...EVER celebrate before you cross the finish line.

thats why they said x games rookie... it was about not hitting a fmx ramp
@@JR113FTW she made the podium anyway, so all of the other girls but 2 were not hitting that FMX jump.

That was a great race by Vicki Golden. I keep watching the other "early celebration" videos but this was ALL Vicki Golden. She was meant to win it battling as she did in this race.

This is sad and never forgotten. It's glaring on her resume too where she should have had 1st place win at the X-Games. Saw on another website some idiot wrote: "The lesson she learned from this is more valuable than the win". BULLSHIT! A win at x-games translates into sponsors and money... Ask Shawn White... Ask Tony Hawk. This girl f'd up and will NEVER forget it. We also know who the real winner was... and it wasn't Vicki Golden who won it a 3rd year in a row... it was Rutledge who lost, BIG difference.
Great sounding, knowledgeable announcers too. Great job.

Premonition by the announcers 5:28, that stutter. You could see it coming by the awkwardness of the bike.
Took her hand off throttle, compression braking the rear wheel and causing the front end to dive. The brakes and motor are used to control the attitude of the bike in the air. She was headed for an end over end if she hadn't grabbed a handfull of throttle at the last moment.
Are there 250 or 450 cc bikes?
Highly doubt they are 450s, females are generally too light for those bikes. 250s are plenty fast for the average weight of a female mx rider

Rutledge the fastest (and stupid) one by far in that game. Fontanesi - who is still a better racer than Rutledge in the classic tracks (3 times champ in a row) - has still to grow up in that game, clearly not her cup of tea yet.
