I am going back to St. Aug. soon to try the Rain Tree. I have eaten at Columbia when I was there last year, it was excellent! I had their Cuban. It was delicious and well worth it. But The Rain Tree looks so beautiful!

We thought the food at the Raintree was good. They have a little bit of everything. If you have room definitely share a dessert or two. We had Reese peanut butter cookie and the Bourbon Street Bread Pudding. They were both delicious! Thank you for watching and enjoy your dinner!

I am Cuban and live in Miami and that Cuban sandwich looks extremely authentic. Looks very good. I will be in Saint Augustine in December and I am going to have to stop at this place and try their Cuban sandwich.

Great review. Just an FYI. Fettucini Alfredo…use the spoon to twirl the pasta with a fork. Never seen pasta eatin w a spoon like that. Entertaining to see that. A+ for effort! But try it next time…its a game changer.

Saint Augustine is a burrito/ taco heaven. Best places are listed below and not in order of preference..
1-Burrito works- on the island NOT downtown. Mexican UFO Bahia is a local fav.
2-Osprey tacos- nuther level tacos and next to a Ale works.. grab a local beer and sit outside Ospry eating tacos.
3- Mojos tacos- all kinda good
4- Gringo tacos- downtown. Try the house Burria burrito.
    -Various local favorites-
5-Terra y mar- ITALIAN on the island.. nice place to get wine and charcuterie.
6- The llama- on the island and expensive. Need reservations. AMAZING in every way.
7- Godfrey’s and goods- downtown. Amazing authentic Mediterranean/polish/Greek food. Owners are polish couple that met in Greece and have been in St Augustine for decades. All homemade food.. even the gyro meat. Seriously good food at a good price. Tucked away downtown
8- Oc whites- nice place to sit outside and drink, listen to music and enjoy the water
9- Cousteau’s- ice cream and waffles… local favorite located in tourist area downtown.. we deal with the crowd for this gem
10- Bay harbor cheesecake co- downtown. Newish place to taste wine and sample cheesecakes. Great charcuterie boards. Opened up during covid by a group of 17 Yankees….
It is surprisingly good and a great atmosphere in an older downtown home. One of our new favorites and the Yankees aren’t”t so bad either. ❤️
12-Blue Hen- yummy southern food- Great breakfast joint, located in Lincolnville near downtown. Just damn good food.
13- manatee cafe- if your healthy and want to stay that way. I don’t but it’s good for vegans and cuisine conscious folks.
Saint Augustine has a ton of restaurants and many of them are rich in atmosphere and a great view. Often those 2 qualities are so overwhelmingly beautiful that they shadow the food. the above list is simply our list of good chow. Enjoy!

Great recommendations! There are so many restaurants that it would take years to explore. We love Cousteau's Waffle and Milkshake Bar. Interesting part of town too. We drank our milkshakes while sitting on a step and listening to good spanish music. It was a fun night. Thanks for listing these places. Our viewers will love the suggestions! We love St. Augustine a lot and try visit a few times a year as it is only a few hours from Tampa.

Best Cuban Sandwhich, have you been to the Keys?

    • @FloridaandBeyond

The people who own this restaurant are actually from Cuba and have been at this location for over 10 years. These are the best we have come across so far, but we still have many places to try, including places in the Keys. We are always searching for a good Cuban sandwich. Thanks for watching! 🙂

@FloridaandBeyond It's the same for a few of the ones in the Keys, as far as being owned by Cubans. How good they marinate the pork is key. We will be there next week so looking forward to trying it, and the Con Leche

How did you not know it was a burger? What was it called on the menu ?

    • @FloridaandBeyond

It said star and stripes and had ingredients. It didn't say burger or hamburger meat, though.

At Farmhand Kchn Nicolai had a grilled cheese with a tomato bisque. Gage had the hobbit which had Portabella mushroom, brie, balsamic caramelized onions, sun-dried tomato pesto, arugula. Mike and I had the stars and stripes which had Bacon, white American cheese, Dijon mustard, lettuce, tomato and pickle. It was all farm to table food. So delicious! At the Cuban Bakery we all got cuban sandwich. It has all the normal things in a cuban on fresh baked bread. This is our favorite place in the state so far that makes cuban sandwiches. Thanks for watching!

Dude- take smaller bites. Watching your have to turn your fork to stuff the bite into your mouth was disgusting
