Thinking about modding one of these and this video really helps. Thinking about: bigger battery, aftermarket subs and tweets, and maybe an external amp if the audio lacks after the swap. However this seems much more complex than car audio😅
Have this speaker & love it, also have over 20 others like jbl, soundcore, tribit & many more, this is a good idea, also walmart lowered the price on theOnn medium for $50,it was 80,was listening to it in the store & it sounded really good, might pick it up
Super happy to find this particular video, did u happen to measure the battery dimensions? I have this speaker i got refurbished a yr or morr ago for 80.00 it showed that it was 100% tested good well, battery was bad from day 1 so now that ive found out via ur video how to remove battery ide like to order a new one from likely amazon but any dimensions u can give would b appreciated appreciated
Hey I was wondering if you could help me figure out why mine won’t stay on ? I charged it after about a year and Everytime I turn it on it stays on for about 6 second then shuts right back off. Any tips? Do you think I should replace the battery?
Were you ever able to find a larger/better battery upgrade? I would like to get a new battery for the one I use during drill weekends as it only lasts about 6.5 hours (down from almost 16 when new). TIA
Awesome video! Love the thorough breakdown on how to open it up and the different sections. Good to know how easy it is to replace the battery. I have two that I've owned and daily use for the last almost two years and love em. Saw the new Gen 2's today at Walmart and I was drooling over them.
Hey! Wondering if you’d be able to diagnose the problem with my speaker. Spilt soda down the top of the big knob. Now it won’t hold a charge and turns off saying “Battery Low”
Thanks man I really liked this. I own 2 and they sound great. Mine are the same but the brand is Blackweb before they changed the name. Cool info though. Thanks.
I recently got the second gen model. Would you happen to know the size of the woofers? Ill likely replace them down the line. Maybe see if i can put a different amp in as well.
@@rickyellison5973what type of battery did you end up getting for a replacement? I’m thinking about doing this to mine. I’m having the same issues as you are without replacing the battery
Awesome video! These sound better than the new ones by the way. Hey one of mine doesn't stay charged at all. I can only play it while plugged up, and the charging indicator quickly drops and dies when I unplug it. Would one of these batteries die suddenly like that? I imagined it would be more gradual
I'm confused as to why these guys went lead acid.... WTF could've tripled it's lifetime in both runtime and warranty life by just going lithium. Plus it'd be lighter and even more portable.

I agree with you I wanted to mod it out but it seems complicated 😂
I just need to bypass the battery altogether

The gen 1s seemed to have lil better sound performance although give up an aux/guitar port
I did the gen 1/gen 2 side by side comparison. The gen 1 was bit louder; gen 2 bit deeper bass
Is this loud? I have the onn party speaker mini, wanting to upgrade

Where can I get the same speaker brain because mine broke down?
Any knowledge on why that same speaker won’t hold a a charge?
You can replace the battery pretty easy - to see if that resolves the issue.
I tried this… it works if I plug it straight in. Even with my new battery, it dies immediately when I unplug it. Any ideas what this will be?

What size are those I need to replace my speakers

From the comments it seems this is a common problem.
I do have the same speaker and how do i remove the screws? which tool should I use? I have tried with regular tools but not succeeding. Thanks
Any updates on replacing the battery????
You turned of MY lights as well.
Great video! Thanks for saving me the time of tearing mine down
My speakers sound muffled. Has anyone encountered this issue?
Anyone know how to bypass the battery ?
Hey can u help me with my speaker it just turnd off on me
I wish you would go ahead and do the mod to be able to charge it in your car instead of always having to plug it into the house.
$35-50 invertor is all ya need
Can you place better speakers like JBLs?
hi brian
Dude the bottom does not come off easy at all! Mine only has two round feet things and there is no screws underneath them
My onn large speaker won't power on can direct wire

Como ponerla directa sin bateria
