    Definitely do a series, I would be down with a new channel, or doing it on either of the other current channels, but I could see some folks not liking it on the main channel.

    😅 As a builder/carpenter I enjoy this channel a lot to see different ways of doing things and different styles of building. I’m Australia based. Mostly the same just small differences, the methodology is basically the same.

    That saw does work great, both of them. I see the advantages of the rear handle saws in this video. We never were using those here in Florida when I was framing. Maybe people will start using them here someday.

    Gang cutting stringers is the way! I prefer a rafter square and buttons to lay out my stringers rather than a block.

    I keep a 30 gal. Trash can with holes drilled in the bottom ( water drains ) to through my cutoffs in makes it easier to clean up and keeps the work area cleaner.
    Go layout you do for making stringers

    I’ve been using the 10” Mikita skill saw for cutting my stringers it gets through two and marks the third . I really like this method as it keeps everything true . I’m new to your channel are you a one man op or do you have a crew?

      @@matt800m6 I run a 60 volt dewalt and it's great for cross cuts wall framing for about 4hrs , gang cutting stairs kills the battery quick. I would be interested in your question also about the saw he's using

    I put sheet rock rips extending above and below the stringers and platform joists to avoid fire blocking.

    Do you always plunge cut it must keep the cut line straighter than pushing the saw thru the wood what kind of jigsaw blades do you like thanks for the help

    You’ve probably covered this somewhere and I’ve missed it, and if I don’t get an answer I’ll dig through the comments and videos to get the answer… but, why do you plunge cut instead of not plunge cutting? Also l like the gang cutting technique! I’ll be implementing that next stair run I do. Thank you

    Love the videos help me out a lot as a apprentice carpenter learning the ropes I’m wondering can you ball park a number of cuts you get on one 40v battery with the 10 1/4 saw thanks man

      I ran out of battery towards the end of the 2nd set of stringers, but I don't remember if I had a full battery when I started. The 4.0ah batteries are a little weak, its better with the 5 ah

    I noticed you hold the blade high and then drop it down as you saw. Is that to prevent kickbacks or for accuracy of the cut?

      My guess would be for the accuracy, easier to adjust the angle and follow the line if the saw isn't fully plunged into the cut

      If you get off your line or need to adjust the saw just makes it easier

    Love the saw but man...convoluted method and explanation. Also, just because the plans may show so many risers, that isn't always the way it goes. Run needs to be accounted as well. The numbers/ calculation are the only constant. " Numbers don't lie".

    Needed a new tool belt and was curious what you were wearing. Voilà, the pop up told me. LOL. Too bad Occidental bought them out. That usually means quality suffers big time. Little guys dont get their way on the decisions.

    How long do those makita batteries last while making those repetitive cuts? Considered buying a cordless 36v makita saw

      with a 5ah battery, plenty long for the 2nd battery on the charger to fully charge.

    I’ve never seen someone do some much plunge cutting with the table unlocked. Is that for safety, or to align the blade in the kerf from the first cut, or something else?

      I just like it to keep the blade square to the material. Its more stable.

      @@AwesomeFramers As an armature carpenter I only use that thing when I make a mistake and have to tear out a bunch of sinkers. Since you guys are such awesome framers and you rarely make mistakes I assumed you rarely had to use that tool.
