Mike, don’t ever apologize for your success. I hate when people compare themselves to others. I’ve been following you for years. You are a hard worker you do you bud. Keep up the great work.
@@AFGixxeR88he was in IT until he went full time on RUclips and did and still makes holsters . I feel like I recall him talking about early real estate purchase also. So hard work and smart investments is how I’ve always taken it.
Seriously want to echo the sentiment. I’m proud to carry your holster every day. I appreciate you sharing your feelings with some apprehensiveness about how this might come off, but clearly you are not a bad guy at all. I find this very endearing. Keep at it and congrats on the killer set up. We should all hope for success and prosperity for our friends and those we care about. 👍
Yes, please talk about your journey over the past decade. It's not flexing, it's inspirational to anyone who appreciates hard work. Great job, you deserve everything you have and will have. I bought my 19 Taco because of your content so thanks for that.
You don't owe anyone an apology. RUclips is for our entertainment. Your life goes on with/without the cameras. We respect you for being a man who works hard to provide for his family. We like to see your adventures, lifestyle and we're proud to see real men with values. Keep up the good work and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family.
Everyone who’s been watching your channel knows you’re a real one. No need to apologize for enjoying and showing us the rewards of your efforts 💪 we love to see the success
Man, I remember the transition to the last house and watching the progress over the years has been fun to watch. I appreciate how genuine you still are after all these years.
NEVER apologize for working hard to become your vision for success. I been following your channel for years and it’s been a fun ride. You’re doing great, keep grinding.
Forget complaining about you being successful. I'm over here taking notes and setting goals. I love when you get new things because it gives me new ideas
The concrete issue was completely avoidable had your contractor done their part to plan around cold/ wet weather, used the right mix and additives, and covered the pour properly to prevent water incursion. You are a lot more understanding than I would have been after dropping $60k. ALWAYS take pictures and document the pour and anything you see that looks questionable. Also, remember to never pay until you satisfied with the work and have a written warranty for the work. He who writes the checks decides when the work is acceptable.
Love the new barn mate! Never apologize for the hard work you put into your success. Your success is no accident, it was intentional through your work and you deserve all the spoils of it. Blessings from Canada!
LLOD HQ could be called “the vehicle homestead” or “homestead hanger”. I love watching your journey on this channel since 2017. You’re still the same guy and I’m very happy for you in your success both personally and professionally ❤
I love when people are successful. You worked hard, you deserve it. PLEASE make a video detailing your journey and how you got to where you are today. PLEASE!!!! Keep up the good work!
Love the barn! Looking forward to seeing the progress on it. I built a similar barn and did closed cell spray foam on the ceiling and open cell on the walls. I rarely need to run any heat in the winter and very minimal A/C in the summer, it’s amazing how well the spray foam holds the temp.
Congrats on the building and house Mike! It’s amazing. Can’t wait to see how you build out both the barn and the LX (which is looking sweet with the wrap).
Mike everything you do n this channel inspires me to work hard to achieve things that I want to do! I've been subscribed since the beginning of your channel and see how you grind !Never apologize for showing people a different way of doing things! I really love seeing how far you get with everything! Can't wait to see all the builds!
Congrats, man! Super stoked to see what you do with the space in the coming months and years. Tons of potential in a “big black barn” 😂 No need to apologize for anything. Acknowledging your successes and blessings while recognizing everyone isn’t where you are is sufficient. I respect that! Definitely would be curious to see a video with more details on your journey whenever you’re ready to share. 👍
Mike you have done really great and worked hard you don't need to apologize. I really enjoy looking at your projects , it gives me great ideas. Love the channel mate , I would love you to do a tour of your land cheers from NZ
Hey Mike, I’ve been watching your channel for a while and it’s badass seeing your life’s journey developing in the background of your videos. Hearing about the decisions you’ve made along the way to get where you are now is a video that I’d definitely tune into and really appreciate. Keep doing what you’re doing boss.
Never apologize for being successful, enjoy the fruits of your labor. Met you at Expo Mtn West and you couldn't have been nicer. I, for one, am happy for you! Congrats!
Yet another big step, congratulations man, its been nice to see someone I look up to being rewarded for his Hard work, still remember the bigger get home bag vid and subbing because you actually hiked a long road with it. The content has only gone uphill, thank you for the more philosophical approach and all the questioning, dont feel any need to apologize
It's great to see hard work pay off! The lifestyle you've built is pretty inspiring for most of us. I've been watching for years now and can honestly say your videos had a big part in pushing me to move to Colorado. Would love to hear the youtube journey, the more detail the better!
Damn 50k for that structure is an astonishingly decent price given how much metal you have in that. Its a beautiful building and I'm sure you'll love it. Congrats to you and your success. You've earned it.
One of the features I admire about you Mike is your humble demeanor and your transparency! I certainly can see you are a Godly man! Keep walking the walk brother!
Never ever apologize for a damn thing! Working hard your whole life, you damn well earned everything you have and worked towards! And love seeing it! I recently finished building my barn that I absolutely love, though it's more of a "Barndominium" building, made from logs, fits everything I need, lawn mowers, snow plow, tractors, other cool toys, quads, snowmobiles, utility trailers, 5th wheel, boats, and an awesome living area, to "get away" from it all an have my own space separate from the house, heated floors, plumbing, wood stoves for heating
Useful video for what I'm doing with my own upcoming workshop/garage build in WV! Thanks for making this. As an architect - bro, yeah, you need a bigger building because with all those vehicles inside, there is definitely not enough room for shops, project work, and vehicle storage! A building is never big enough once you start putting stuff inside and vehicle shuffle just flat out sucks. Have this issue with our older heavy equipment polebarn/workhop. Love the high up clerestory windows and the free light they give to the inside space. Consider closely how you want do layout your electrical, mechanical, pneumatic system, and auto lifts in the building. How will you heat this? I like a large exterior wood boiler with backup gas (ideal) or electric anti-freeze heating (not to be used for primary heating but to keep the inside above freezing for when you're not there to stoke the wood boiler). Also, in CO, max out your insulation R-factor as much as you can - per your wall thickness.... this will pay dividends down the road with energy/wood/time savings. Consider furring out the walls to get a higher R-rating where necessary. Maybe you don't do this in the entire shop, but in specific areas that you build out into rooms that you'll occupy more frequently. Consider making sketches 3D models using Sketchup - it's a great and easy way to see the building and contents in 3D and make variations / alterations before you spend big $$$ in "bricks and mortar" only to find out that I should have done X, Y, or Z options... www.sketchup.com/ * contractor F'd you on the concrete spalling. Shouldn't affect structural of the 6" slab but is unprofessional and UNSAT nonetheless. ** @29:40 you should NOT have snow melt dripping on the interior of the building - let BBD know asap that this is happening. and DO NOT insulate or do other work the building before they rectify this. They should have provided a weather and watertight shell for you. Their envelope designs should have accounted for snowmelt! Cheers & great video. 🍻
Congrats on all your success, I’ve been following your channel for years, back when you made a lot more firearms content. I stayed for all your high quality gear content since we’re into the same hobbies, wishing you even more success this coming new year.
Great job on the building, great work on your channel and excited for your progression. Happy for your success! So much opportunity in a building like that. As far as how you got here, I think your longtime followers will definitely appreciate a video, but it honestly sounds like a healthy exercise for you too! Practicing gratitude is never a bad thing and often something many struggle with in our modern consumer culture. I look forward your insight. Best wishes for 2024!
Dude, no need to apologize or explain! It’s awesome you were able to build your dream home, do a ton of the work yourself etc etc. Always interested in all the builds, whether 4 wheels or 4 walls. If people complain, that’s their problem. Enjoy the new place and family life! Alway ingested in heating people’s stories as well, but not out of pressure from the whiny public, lol. Another great video, thanks for sharing what you learned and your thought process on the metal building. I would definitely watch a video about how you got to where you are now. Look forward to the future videos!
I feel bad that you feel like you need to apologize. I've been watching your channel for at least 5 years and the progress in adventures and your new homestead project is so cool!! Do you dude!
Yeah man. Do a video on your journey when you have time to get around to it. I'd like to hear about it. Some times I feel like you may have gotten big enough that maybe I feel like you're not as relatable as maybe you once were. But that's not a meant to be a dig at your success or the work you've put in. We all have different paths in life. Either way... congratulations on all aspects. Well earned and well deserved.
Love it. Thanks for sharing. I bought a 3800SF machine shop two years ago and had the floors epoxy coated before moving in. I went with a very simple light gray. No flake or texture. I was worried that it would be slippery with moisture or oils but it's no problem. I had quotes from $9k to $23k. I went with the $9k quote and they did a pretty good job. It has chipped up in a few spots from serious impacts but that's okay we're working.
The barn turned out great! I’ve been watching your channel a few years now and do think it would be interesting to hear about the steps you’ve taken to succeed. Keep up the good work!
Congrats on your barn and beautiful house, even though you didn't have to apologize for your success it's great your cognizant on peoples negative feelings. More people can learn that bit from you. Bless you.
I love the way the barn looks! If you do end up moving to gutters and snow stops in the barn you can connect the gutters to 50gallon drums so you can collect water from the snow/rain for the goats and chickens or maybe even to collect drinking water for the family.
Having a building like that is the best! At my old property I had a 30x60 (can't remember exact dimensions) pole barn with a huge door like your center portion. Gym in the back, toys up front! In addition to a 3 car garage for the house, any car guy is gonna be happy. Enjoy!
Hi Mike. Been about a year since I've seen a video of yours. Great to see what you've done with your life lately! We met you in person at Overland Expo West 2022. You are a great guy, genuine and a pleasure to talk to! You earned everything you have. Keep up the good work!
I forgot to mention...I am so happy for you! You should feel proud at such a young age to have accomplished your dreams...I hope to have that shop next year at 60 years old!
Proud of your success man! You did good. Obviously keep doing what you’re doing. Back history video is always good……gives context Do more barn renovation/build out videos. This is the ultimate man cave!!
Yes, a video about your business/entrepreneurship decisions and journey would be appreciated. How do/did you set up your sponsor partnerships, merch colabs, and networking is valuable info for those of us trying to make it happen. What decisions had the biggest and smallest returns on effort/investment. What would you not do again etc. Congrats on your success.
@Last Line of Defense Mike thanks for all the effort you put into your videos! Your success is well deserved, no need to apoligize. It's amazing that a 50 x 50 building sounds huge but quickly fills up with "toys"! Your home and property really is beautiful congrats and wishing you a Wonderfull 2024!
Mike who cares what other people think. They are jealous if it comes to that. I’m happy for you. I know to be successful it’s a lot of hard work and sacrifices. I’m trying to start my own business right now and it’s hard. I been following you for a couple of years. You and talon sei. So I just wanted to say congratulations
congratulations on your success, how many people build their own home. keep it up, I love your channel and really enjoy watching your progress. HAPPY NEW YEAR111
Awesome stuff mate! Yeah, a cash overview video would be great, only to maybe inspire others. I'm nearly 50, fed up of the rat race \ offices and I welcome any videos that may inspire career or life style changes.
Don't worry about the haters Mike. I'm happy you are successful. Great looking building. You always want more space but we have our limits. Flannel ordered! Keep up the good work!
Mike, never apologize for your success! The haters are too lazy to grind it out on their own. My set of friends has rotated as I became successful. It is the natural order of things between those who are willing to bust their ass and those who would rather hate than figure it out and work for it. Keep grinding!
Mike, don't apologize, bro. The only people who are commenting shit like that are haters. We are all very proud of you and how hard you have worked to get where you are. I personally hope to get there one day with a decent size property with my own metal building with my toys and stuff in there. Ever since your video with Expedition Overland and their hangar, that was my goal for myself to have something like that. You are an inspiration and I enjoy your vids, please make that video of how here and throw some helpful tips for people who want to get where you are. Please send Ashley and the kiddos our love, and keep on hustling bro, you deserve it!
Ok... I'm jealous and envious at the same time. What makes me feel better is that we both have the same color 80.... I'm rebuilding mine now. Thank you for sharing. Great job. 👍🏾.. ❤..
When and IF I leave SW Florida, my plan was to put much of my money is a LARGE building as well. It will be close to Hockey rink size and sectioned off for different activities for my wife, I and then sports for the grandchildren when they visit. I am thinking something the size of an indoor horse training arena with side garage door type panels that open during spring and summer for flow through breezes. If I can find something started or that I can add too, I hope to save a few dollars. Thinking of West Va or TN closer to family. I actually look forward to that move and get 4 seasons, but I will sure miss the NO STATE INCOME TAX of Florida if its' West Va! Very cool setup and I wish you all the best!
Yeah Mike, would like to hear that video as possibility a lot would not realize the importance of budgeting, and other interesting considerations of larger project costing's. Thanks for sharing.
Mike, y Thanks so much for doing this video. I will also be building a metal barn soon to hold my Overlanding vehicle, equipment, and RV and a workshop. I am very interested in what you have done.
Didn't need to explain, but the background was interesting -learned from this- questions to ask, thoughts on size and use to consider. You worked for everything and you're still humble and appreciative -not always easy- you're alos still making future plans -keep reaching!
Mike, would you mind sharing the garage door manufacturer you went with. Exactly the look I'm going for - did stained clear cedar but it's HIGH maintenance... Loving the look you have. Job well done on all buildings!
Not a DB don’t fret. And if someone’s gonna be a hater then they’ll never get there. Thanks for the walkthrough and gift guides, might be small but some of the products you have recommended have enabled less stress and therefore more peace (God’s work!) keep it up!!.
Had a comment typed up about in-floor heating but then you covered it! Personal finance / business advice would be a worthy topic, mainly because very few people talk about it. Sometimes I wonder how others are successful not out of jealousy but because I want to copy it. :) I am all about themes more than resolutions. "More adventures" qualifies!
Thanks for going over pricing, it’s really helpful to bring myself back to my own reality. I’m joking but being serious too. One day. I got my 24x30 metal building on my trailer still waiting for me to try and build it. Do you think all these buildings come from the same manufacturer? All the websites almost even seem the same. I went with versatube.
For your concrete you should get a epoxy based filler and fill all those imperfections and then do a clear matte sealer on your concrete. Hire a good polished concrete guy and it will look amazing and be super durable.
I would love to see a video breaking down your financial journey for educational purposes. Investments, jobs, and other business decisions would be a very interesting video.
Congrats Mike, looks awesome! I was going to do the same thing with my house build in 2022. Had plans to build a detatched 25x32 garage but then our house build went over budget (150k 😂🤣😂😬) and my garage/shop slush fund went to the wayside. I still have my 27x24 basement shop with garage door though so I still have a shop. I experienced the same as you and the house build consumed ALL of my time for ~9-10 months. In regards to your garage door sizing comments. Definitely recommend anyone building do AT LEAST 8’ tall doors and MINIMUM 9’ wide. I went with 10’ wide doors on our 3 car attached garage. So glad I did. I can pull the Tundra in with my tow mirrors with zero clearance concerns. At my old house with an 8’ wide door I had to fold the mirrors in 🤦♂️. On my basement garage door, I did a 9Wx8T.

Love your black barn! So glad that you have that beautful space for your cars!
Don't worry about them being long videos. I love videos like this.
Congrats on your success Mike! Please be proud of your accomplishments, Mike. They are your milestones of success.
Congratulations on the big black workshop! Just a man’s dream, big shop to have some friends over eat pizza drink beer and work on stuff!!
I forgot to mention...I am so happy for you! You should feel proud at such a young age to have accomplished your dreams...I hope to have that shop next year at 60 years old!
Thank you for gathering all that!!!
When the time comes, I'll be collecting!!! 🤷♂️
Proud of your success man! You did good. Obviously keep doing what you’re doing.
Back history video is always good……gives context
Do more barn renovation/build out videos.
I would love to see a video in your journey. I love hearing about people's journeys to success. Congrats on the success and keep grinding!
Congrats on an awesome build. This is in my five year plan and awesome to see others in Colorado still getting properties and building shops
congratulations on your success, how many people build their own home. keep it up, I love your channel and really enjoy watching your progress. HAPPY NEW YEAR111
Awesome stuff mate! Yeah, a cash overview video would be great, only to maybe inspire others. I'm nearly 50, fed up of the rat race \ offices and I welcome any videos that may inspire career or life style changes.
+1 on hearing about your journey. Cheers
Congrats on your new space. I've been personally interested in Bardo's and I'd appreciate hearing about your journey to get where you're at now.
Awesome build & well deserved. Can’t wait to see how you finish it out.
Don't worry about the haters Mike. I'm happy you are successful. Great looking building. You always want more space but we have our limits. Flannel ordered! Keep up the good work!
This is awesome. Thanks for the tour. Would love to hear your journey.
Great job. 👍🏾.. ❤..
Never apologize for being about your grind! Just stay you. I just subbed.
Congrats on your dream home Mike! You deserve it! Everyone should be able to build their own dream home one day! Cheers!🎉
Congratulations. Your new property rocks!
Mike, y
Thanks so much for doing this video. I will also be building a metal barn soon to hold my Overlanding vehicle, equipment, and RV and a workshop. I am very interested in what you have done.
Winners win. Love the building. Never apologize for being better than most. HNY
Great looking building, be proud of your growth and successes!
Please do the video on how you got to where you are now!!
Awesome space and exciting to see you realize your vision. Very inspiring to see your journey!
Sad you even have to apologize for having some money. Enjoy the fruits of your labor bro! You earned it!
Didn't need to explain, but the background was interesting -learned from this- questions to ask, thoughts on size and use to consider. You worked for everything and you're still humble and appreciative -not always easy- you're alos still making future plans -keep reaching!
Really cool stuff. Remember you just talking about kydex holsters back in the day. Glad to see you doing big things!
Lol love the whole Porsche comment which is true but either way congrats on the dream built barn.
Living the dream my man! Keep us posted on the build out!
What a sell out.
Nah, happy to see you’ve achieved the dream of a owning a man fort. Stoked to see how this will elevate the channel
Nice shop. I’ve built a lot of them. I think everybody works their way out the door. Always get the biggest one that fits that you can afford
Living the dream buddy!
Thank you for going over pricing! Generally people don’t give out pricing.
Awesome. No need to Apologize. You worked for it. Enjoy. Looking forward to your next video 📹
No, there are a bunch of different manufacturers and a bunch of different dealers that work with a bunch of different manufacturers.
For your concrete you should get a epoxy based filler and fill all those imperfections and then do a clear matte sealer on your concrete. Hire a good polished concrete guy and it will look amazing and be super durable.
This is awesome I’m studying now for a new shop. 45k is not want i thought. I was thinking way more for that! Very nice
I would love to see a video breaking down your financial journey for educational purposes. Investments, jobs, and other business decisions would be a very interesting video.
People who don't celebrate your hardwork and success aren't worth stressing! Keep after it and enjoy it.
