Oh man, here in Utah ( DI ) is the same problem every time they bring a new cart, rude pushy and grabby people.
At the end you have to do the same or they leave you without nothing😂😂😂

I live in SoCal with only 2 Deseret Industries within driving distance. I love Deseret. Good prices and the condition of the items is outstanding compared to other thrift stores! I'm planning a road trip from Illinois back to home in SoCal. I'm taking the northern route so we can drive down the 15 through Salt Lake City and hit all the Deserets down to Las Vegas. Can't wait.

That woman was super aggressive, calm down lady, it's just plush lol. I wanted a power wheels more than anything as a kid! Same if I would have bugged my GRANDMA enough I probably would have gotten one too, probably one of the only things as a kid I wanted real bad, but never got. I still think they are pretty darn cool.

I was at a Deseret Industries in the Salt Lake Valley today and it was almost that crazy. They were bringing new carts out regularly and people were hanging around waiting. Made it difficult to just shop. Wider aisles, please!

Deseret Industries. It's the LDS (The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints) owned thrift store. They use the money for charities and to help train people who need work training to find jobs. A lot of the excess gets donated to other charities and to others in need. We don't discriminate against other religions and our church regularly donates items and money for good charity programs that other churches run as well as gifting things they might need like furniture or pews etc. They even give vouchers for free clothing and other needs to people who need it. Once a year they send large containers to each church and everyone donates until it's full. It's the go to donation spot for all LDS people. That's why you'll find a lot of religious stuff like Bibles, videos and artwork of Jesus in there. Plus because LDS people try to be modest in their dress and go to church you'll find a lot of dress clothing that's suitable for attending church or going to work. There's also usually new solid wood furniture for good prices that our church makes for good long lasting furniture. A lot of LDS buy it too. I had a wonderful wood bunk bed for my kids when they were little that was donated to my family and the only thing wrong with it after years of heavy use was it could use a sanding and re-stain or paint job. It's a great thrift store and they're not greedy about prices like the other thrift stores so it's a great place to source. In fact I'm sure they're happy that people can find deals and also are able to flip merchandise to make money. It's whole purpose is to help people and help them become self reliant.
