LIQUIDS DON'T BURN, VAPOR DOES! The lighters do not ignite because the blade is not hot enough to heat the liquid fuel to sufficient enough temperatures to produce the burnable vapor. The high speed liquid fuel also helps to cool the knife as it rushes past rapidly reducing the temperature of the knife well below the ignition temperature needed.

lighterfluid is pretty pretty cold in its liquid state, and is designed to be hard to ignite without an open flame (safety reasons, duh). So yeah, you'd probably need a knife made from something that retains heat much better than steel

There's a few things I learned about lighters in this video. 1.) They're not as explosive as I thought 2.) The fluid takes on the color of the lighter 3.) You like to exaggerate the use of them to draw in views

Klony, I don't care whether or not you're being sarcastic, but the answer is no. Here's why we shouldn't build rockets out of potato chips (this is so fucking stupid):
Reason A: Re-entry into the atmosphere will usually cause temperatures to hit *3200°* Kelvin or *more*. Which roughly translates to *5300°* Fahrenheit, or *2927°* Celcius (also, I'm being very conservative with these numbers, they're much lower than most would say they should be). This astronomical number causes flame trails and plasma to form. Which is far out of the capability of this knife.
Reason B: The knife isn't even 1000°. If it was over 1000° (celcius), it would be yellow, not red. 1000° Fahrenheit isn't exactly inpressive, it's only about 5 times the heat of boiling water. While 1000 Celcius is exactly 10 times the hest of boiling water. Basically, the knife isn't even above 1000 degrees, or close for that matter (if you're using a measurement system that is logical and makes sense). Not to mention that the color of the "glowing" knife is such a faint red that it's likely between 850° and 1000° Fahrenheit, so barely even making the mark in one measuring system.
