I’m glad you like them, everyone should find joy in what interests them. It’s not my style and heels are not typically my choice of footwear but I like having a nice pair or so for the right occasion/outfit. I in general enjoy fashion as well as the craftsmanship and quality of items. I designed and made my wedding dress and the inner workings of how things are made and the design is very interesting to me.
I love my Rockstuds. I got mine from Saks Fifth Ave back in 2009 before they became popular and I paid $275 in an after Christmas sale. I don't have the patent in this style I have the regular leather in your color combo. Anyways 7 years later and they are still in good shape. I wear them to work all the time and I have the kitten heels and soooo comfortable.
I am a bit of a rockstud enthusiast. I have several pairs of the heels, sandals, and boots in various colors/material/finishes. They are some of my most worn heels, and I am talking everyday work wear. Now, I have had a bit of an issue with color transfer from my dark wash jeans to the nude leather on my navy and beige heels. My navy non-patent leather bi-color are probably my most delicate pair, but my all patent black are my least delicate. So, if you like the rockstuds and are worried about the delicate leather, I recommend the all over patent. I've worn mine out and about in rain and on cobblestone, not a scratch on them:)
I wonder if over the years since they became so popular they are making them of cheaper materials or a different manufacturing process to meet the high demand and it compromised the quality because like I said I got mine in 2009 and I am very rough on my footwear and they still look amazing.
Hey Sohpie.... According to me one should not buy these shoes if they peel off so easily in one wear.... When I look at LUX products I feel they have a responsibility to provide the highest quality for the price they ask.... thats not at all negotiable to me personally... and I think you should check out if there is a way to get them to do something about it.... love you... lots of love!! :)
I've never owned a pair of any Valentino heels or any other luxury shoe, but I do watch Milabu (RUclipsr) & she gets a size 37 (US size 7) & all her Valentino heels are true to size. She said they're always true to size. ..So, I'm like you.. it's weird that her heels aren't true to size. 🧐
I know this is gong to sound like a lot of trouble but I always pack some flats, flip flops, or slides if im walking or driving. Iy just helps preserve my more elegant shoes
My thoughts (if I'm honest) are that these are NO WAY worth their price tag. Pretty, but way to delicate... What do you think? When you can get a sturdy pair of Louboutin's for £425, are these worth £620?!
A sturdy pair of louboutins that kill your feet and basically dinner shoes the staff at louboutin tell you loubs are not for comfortability #rockstudsalltheway
+Sophie Shohet | Fashion Beauty Lifestyle Like one lady told me in the shop, these are only made to be worn a few times then thrown away. Often rich clients will come in and buy 10 of the same shoe because of that. every season I always replace my trashed shoes with new ones, clothes on the other hand can last years, decades.
Did you drove the car with those Valentino shoes? :D :)))) I never do that... I keep changing my shoes the ones that I put on while I´ m driving with the ones I go to the Restaurant :) I always have in the car an extra pair of shoes for driving.
I appreciate your honesty however I have 4 pairs myself and I wear them almost every day and none of them look like this at the back, I think it depends on how you treat them. I agree the strap leather is very delicate but it's not the same as the leather they use at the front which is a little bit more durable. I also agree on the sizing:-)
I do agree that these are such a pretty shoe, that's too bad about the leather on the heel, you would think it wouldn't rub off so quickly! I haven't tried them on myself, but thanks for recommending going an entire size up if we were to purchase it.
Wow, that sucks about the leather rubbing off. Luckily that hasn't happened to any of mine so far. I agree, I think the regular price of these shoes are way too expensive. I'd never pay full price for them
These are probably my favorite shoes ever! I don’t own them. That’s just because I can’t wear heels for work because the nature of my work doesn’t let me. Because of that reason I got the Valentino Rockstud leather tote bag instead. Although I know I will get a pair of these one day… they’re just gorgeous! Really expensive though.
These shoes are absolutely BEAUTIFUL but I've gotta say I dont think I'd spend that money on shoes purely because I end up wearing my shoes to death and just wrecking them. So I'd put that money towards a bag. They look SO incredible though xxxx
Hi Sophie. Excellent review. The shoes are really gorgeous, but they seem to get scuffed or damaged really easily. Which is disappointing, that price tag is a major turn off😡. Thanks for sharing babes😊😊.
Thanks for the honest review Sophie. I just bought these as even though you said they werent worth it, they are just so pretty I couldnt resist. I got the light pink pair and am In Love! X
I never had the desire to have the shoes, but I wanted the Rockstud Moto Boots. I went up a whole size, and they were still too tight in the space right below the toes. I gave up. My husband was glad as they were $1500 US. It's amazing that my studded moto boots from Target fit perfectly, and I only paid $20 for them and have had them for two years.
Great review. I have a pair of them and I love them. You are right they are comfortable. For me, the sizing was perfect. I generally wear a 38 in designer shoes. Most of the time a 38 is a big too big but a 37.5 is always too small.
I have 4 pair of rockstuds. Never had this problem. I'm a usa size 8. Valentino's and Louboutin I'm a 38.5". These are pretty comfortable for a 4" heel but the wear of the color makes me skeptical of These are authentic. I worn mine for 5+ hours and never ever had a the color issue. Get them authenticated. Also, you only need to go up 0.5 size up. If you have a wide foot, then yes, go up an entire size.
Omg Sophie, I have the all leather and the wear and tear has been fab, I think you should take them back. I've recently purchased a pair of Christian louboutins boots which I've had to return because of bad wear and tear, and I have a wardrobe full of Christian louboutins ... Xx
Such a great video! I've eyeing these in this exact color for quite some time now, but after this video I think I'll have to reconsider it, and rather buy some other shoes.
I managed to get my rockstuds in the farfetch sale for £420 and they were the exact colour I wanted I was so happy, they literally sold out after 15mins , only thing is I'm still sooo scared to wear them because they're all leather and so soft like you said
Hey Sophie love you and David to bits. I got them in the nude patent all over. The noir style comes in all the colours and no damage so far. They are now £650 though, however they are a self gift lol xoxo
thanks for this honest review - i've had the kitten heel height ones on my list for a while as my first designer shoe purchase. i'm sorry to hear that you're not super satisfied but appreciate you saving me the $! good point about the lack of elastic on the sling back! btw found your channel today, watched a ton of your videos, really enjoy your vids you are really charismatic
I just bought my first pair of Rockstud flats. And tried also the high heeled one and I didn't experience the problem with the size. I mostly buy a 38 in Designer Shoes although I'm something between 38 and 38 and a half. And I bought the flats (which are also patent) in 38 and tried the heeled ones and 38 was also enough. So I wouldn't say that they run small..but I also tried the Rockstud closed heeled shoe and this runs way to big for the size. I think the rockstuds are pretty comfortable - didn't wear them out yet. Sure the price is way too high - with 720€ for the heeled slingback and 680€ for the flats, but I will see how they act while wearing them out. I also just receintly bought a pair of Louboutin Pigalles in patent leather - also didn't wear them out yet. But those are very uncomfortable from the start and are very narrow in comparison to the Valentinos. And the half size up from the CL are too big. So I pretty much had more problems with the size of the CL.
What do you think about the rockstuds now? They seem to have been around for long enough not to be considered a “trend”. I’m thinking of just the block heel and a small clutch for summer? you are my style guru...I need your opinion.
I have the same issue with the back of these shoes :( Can't understand why... I wore them 3-4 times not for a long time as well. Glad that i bought them on sale haha PS: also got mine last summer, patent red leather
I have the same exact sandal and also went for patent cause the leather is so gentle, they are very comfortable. I also have flat rockstud sandal made fully from non patent leather and they got destroyed in one season, even under my feet the leather on the sole got rubbed off lol
I bought the flats (black with white t straps) on sale last december and they've been great. I think the sizing is a bit weird, but the shoe quality is still good. I got them for around £440.
I have the caged flats in the matt leather with the nude.. I took my normal size and even thought that I could have possibly gone down half a size, but that could because it's the softer leather not the patent which doesn't usually stretch.. I agree they are probably not worth the money, but God I love my rockstuds sooooo much xx
Great vid again darling 👏🏾👏🏾 I've had these shoes in the box since October. I've never worn them was thinking after your vid that maybe I should swap them for red bottoms....what do you think?
Thanks for putting this up! I was literally going to buy a pair as a gift to myself for doing well in school this semester but I'll just save my money now! XOXO
Thanks for very good review, Sophie. What do you think between this shoes and Chanel Slingback Two Tone? Which one do you prefer? And more comfortable or durable? Please let me know thank you!
Haha I just bought dupes for these at Charlotte Russe for like $50, the only difference is that mine are suede and actual Valentino's are shiny, personally I like mine (the suede) better.
I have in sz 38 and I'm normally a 37.5 in other high end shoes so I was surprised I had to go so far up. Otherwise they seem sturdy and are so comfortable in comparison to CL's. The CL's I have were way cheaper but I can't even wear them as I like so I consider them somewhat of a waste and I no longer will purchase. The rock studs however are gorgeous and honestly I rarely see anyone with them on which is a plus. Try to find them on sale; $1,000 is a stretch but they are fabulous shoes.
Just checked mine (haven't worn) in nude brown color and yes! that mauvey part at the back portion of the shoe is frrrrrrrragile!!!! . good thing i got them during sales, otherwise, it would be a regret!!
Hi Sophie !! Thank you for this review 😘 do you have a YSL tribute patent shoes?? Can you review them please .. I really want to get one but I want to know if it's worth the price 😂😂thank you very much for your lux review I really love your channel .. Lots of love Em xx
Thank you so much for this review! I bought them a while ago because they were such a gorgeous shoe. Well, I realized that they were not worth the money I paid. Don't get me wrong I love these shoes and they are gorgeous, I still wear them, but they are so delicate and dainty. I'm kind of wishing that I didn't spend that money on them, I could've bought another pair of Louboutins, I'm totally wishing that I had watched this video before I bought them.
You HAVE to check out "Kaitlyn Pan" rockstuds on Amazon! They are IDENTICAL to Valentinos. People have pics of them side by side and you cannot tell the difference. There's tons of reviews. They're made of real leather and only $100. A tenth of the price and more comfortable.
Hey doll just came across your channel, i only just got a pair for my birthday 2days ago till have not worn them.. god dam they are pricy aren't they? I do love Louboutin's X
I had exactly the same problem with these shoes... So disappointing and I would never purchase another pair and waste my money again.. I've had to take them back to valentino for repair... They are too delicate.. Seriously not worth it... They are gorgeous but just not worth it.. 😒
They look incredibly comfortable and I'm sure they are but that sucks that they are so delicate. I feel like they should be a little heavier to balance them out
Hi Sophie, I really enjoy your videos but I believe you were unlucky with your choice of rockstud. I got mine in Paris in 2012 at the Valentino boutique mine are in real leather same color combination as yours I paid about 400 euros back then. The hill s shorter but they are so confortable the size was correct to as Im a french 37. I've worn this shoes so many times and they still perfect so what may have happened is that Valentino changed suppliers after 2012 which is a shame. I will send you a picture of mine to you on instagram. keep up the great videos...!
Do you ever worry about having a major problem (like heel falling off) & finding it difficult to get an exchange due to buying online? I end up getting my stuff from Selfies/HN because of this 🦄
Omg really my daughter has a pair she only wore them twice on the third time the strap broke too did your sister get them fixed? I paid $1,300 for them I'm so upset
after listening to your review, and the leather wearing off, etc. is there a _possibility_ that you could have gotten fakes? Just asking. The leather wearing off like that is quite surprising. I had a faux pair and OH how i miss them!
+koh kellie Hey sweetie! They are very comfortable, and the heel doesn't even feel that high - so I would give them a 9/10 (I would give them a 10, but they press on the bone on the top of my foot which hurts after a while!) I hope this helps! Hugs xo 😘 💕😘 💕😘 💕😘 💕
Every ones feet is different I own two pairs so I wouldn't say you need to go a size up go to a store try on first buy in store or just try on and order a style you want online.
prefer louboutins 420 for a great classic pair around 70 to get a sole protector , i have the nude matte and it basically did the same at the back as yours, highly disappointed in the rockstuds
they are the sexiest shoes, most comfortable and get compliments from men and women. soooooo worth every penny. louboutins are so uncomfortable....
I’m glad you like them, everyone should find joy in what interests them. Jennifer Von Hofmann jealous 😭😅
$275?? That’s a huuuuuuge steal ! Omyyy
I would have gotten 4 at that price 😅
I am a bit of a rockstud enthusiast. I have several pairs of the heels, sandals, and boots in various colors/material/finishes.

+rose d Yes the patent is the way to go. I haven't experienced any scratches either.
+I Isaac I just got the a patent pair so am glad to hear that! X
+rose d Thanks for the tip x

are you sure these are authentic? My valentinos never had any problems of peeling and the leather actually feel very durable, almost stiff at first
I thought the same thing
Jackie Bao what is the leather of your pairs?
Very true the real ones don't peel off
It's weird cause I owned 2 pairs of Valentino heels and they're both true to size! (I'm size 6)
Now I want my 3rd pair in RED!!
Same here. I’m a size 6 and my Valentino’s are also a size 6.
I've never wanted a pair. You can't turn around without seeing them everywhere so I guess I'm an odd duck. I always love your videos. Thanks.
I know this is gong to sound like a lot of trouble but I always pack some flats, flip flops, or slides if im walking or driving. Iy just helps preserve my more elegant shoes

Worth or not is not important, the one matters is I love it
I do agree that these are such a pretty shoe, that's too bad about the leather on the heel, you would think it wouldn't rub off so quickly! I haven't tried them on myself, but thanks for recommending going an entire size up if we were to purchase it.
For that amount of money, those things should last like rhino hide.
Wow, that sucks about the leather rubbing off. Luckily that hasn't happened to any of mine so far. I agree, I think the regular price of these shoes are way too expensive. I'd never pay full price for them
I have them and I agree. I'm glad you did this I thought it was just me that didn't agree with the price.
That's why I only spend money on handbags.... for shoes I only buy the similiar ones.
These are probably my favorite shoes ever! I don’t own them. That’s just because I can’t wear heels for work because the nature of my work doesn’t let me. i dont trust that website so be careful when buying!!!!! thats why you may feel the items are not worth it

Forget the shoes...I love your Chanel bag 😍

That 'high bit' there is called a 'coup de pie', I remember that from my ballet days 😉

my sister bought these yesterday in a cream colour instead of black. pricey imo, but she loves them so it's cool. :)
I love your videos so much because you always seem so honest xx
Hey Sophie love you and David to bits. I got them in the nude patent all over. The noir style comes in all the colours and no damage so far. They are now £650 though, however they are a self gift lol xoxo
Hi Sophie thanks for you complete honesty about the product, great review Cheers from Melbourne Kim

I'm size 8, I purchased an 8.5 and it's perfect!
Great review Sophie. Omg I loooove your top, where's it from?! x
Sophie, your videos are the best! I love them!xxx
Hey! Thank you for the code, I just got some chloe flats that I've been lusting after for months and saved myself $50!
great info sophie. they're beautiful shoes but unfortunately i would only walk very short distances in them so wouldn't spend the money...
I really have a problem with these high end shoes. They are just not meant for walking!
They look so beautiful! 😍 Just a thought: Maybe the leather did rub off because -just as you said- they are a little bit small...?!
Starts 5:02
I had to go down 2 sizes with the flat rockstuds! Valentino's sizing definitely isn't great!
Just checked mine (haven't worn) in nude brown color and yes! that mauvey part at the back portion of the shoe is frrrrrrrragile!!!! . good thing i got them during sales, otherwise, it would be a regret!!
I just found your channel today and I can't stop watching. Subscribe!!!!!!
Love your channel by the way! You are very inspiring! 💋
thanks for your review! would you purchase the ballet style rockstud? I feel I would get more use out of them!
They look so nice on
Love your nail color! What brand and which colour did you use?
I love your honest review. But it's really quiet difficult for someone who love beautiful designer items to not have one of those shoes.
Was going to buy these for my girlfriend, I will steer clear, thank you for the heads up !!!!
Do you own any Manolo blanik heels? If so can you do a review?
You HAVE to check out "Kaitlyn Pan" rockstuds on Amazon! They are IDENTICAL to Valentinos. People have pics of them side by side and you cannot tell the difference. There's tons of reviews. They're made of real leather and only $100. A tenth of the price and more comfortable.
Even the color of Kaitlyn Pan is identical!
Hi! I love your lipstick. Which one do you wear?
Your nails look amazing! ❤
Hey doll just came across your channel, i only just got a pair for my birthday 2days ago till have not worn them.. god dam they are pricy aren't they? I do love Louboutin's X
Where is your sweatshirt from ?
I had exactly the same problem with these shoes... So disappointing and I would never purchase another pair and waste my money again.. I've had to take them back to valentino for repair... They are too delicate.. Seriously not worth it... They are gorgeous but just not worth it.. 😒
the gray one is pretty too
My flat also looks funny on me since my feet is so narrow.... they don’t fill all the space
Same, I love the kitten heels one but wouldn't like the price tag at all.
I bought a pair of flat, and I normally wear 37, but 36 works well. Now I’m afraid to wear it cuz my shoes always get damaged because of my wear
They look incredibly comfortable and I'm sure they are but that sucks that they are so delicate. I feel like they should be a little heavier to balance them out

Hi how did you protect the soles for these? Xx
My sister broke a pair right before a doctors appointment. She was taking her sandals off, she was about to put the rockstuds on and the strap broke.
Omg really my daughter has a pair she only wore them twice on the third time the strap broke too did your sister get them fixed? I paid $1,300 for them I'm so upset
i got this shoes 5 pair in different colour. really beautifull.
Thanks for the video. Can you please show how they look on foot.
after listening to your review, and the leather wearing off, etc. is there a _possibility_ that you could have gotten fakes? Just asking. The leather wearing off like that is quite surprising. I had a faux pair and OH how i miss them!
Hi,
Can you rate 1-10 how much is the comfort level?
Thanks
+koh kellie
Hey sweetie!
They are very comfortable, and the heel doesn't even feel that high - so I would give them a 9/10 (I would give them a 10, but they press on the bone on the top of my foot which hurts after a while!)
I hope this helps! Hugs xo 😘 💕😘 💕😘 💕😘 💕
thats so disappointing! id gladly pay the higher price for the comfort compared to the louboutin---but not if the quality is not there :/
That's so weird I only got one dust bag when I purchased these heels
They look great on your feet.
Sorry but I love these each to their own
im normally a IT37.5, which size I should go for in these (nude patent)?
Thank you for your review! 💞
Every ones feet is different I own two pairs so I wouldn't say you need to go a size up go to a store try on first buy in store or just try on and order a style you want online.
That really isn't very good that the leather rubbed away, they do look good though.
Great review!
Great video xxx love the shoes ❤️
I was getting those in gold and now Im not really sure if they are worth it
Did you drove the care with those Valentino shoes? :D :))))
In Canada it cost $1040.00 I buy 2year a go . Now it cost more .
Great review - thank you for sharing xx
prefer louboutins 420 for a great classic pair around 70 to get a sole protector , i have the nude matte and it basically did the same at the back as yours, highly disappointed in the rockstuds
I Love your LANVIN heeled Boots you showed in another video.
