Interesting to me being older , most if the bands you mention, I never heard of. Who knows, I may have a mind opening experience and discover something new. Either way ,I am at least entertained and I like your no nonsense approach to such a life altering .........hobby? I still have to say record collecting in most of its forms goes deeper than just a hobby. I still say it is a lifestyle at some point. I have been active all through 4 and a half decades of music. I could not imagine my life without music. Music is a gift from God
“Where Did You Sleep Last Night” is written by Huddie Ledbetter aka Lead Belly, which he derived from Cecil Sharp’s 1917 “In the Pines”, originally the Appalachian traditional "The Longest Train I Ever Saw". Black Girl (Where Did You Sleep Last Night) - Lead Belly (1944)
That QotSA reissue was one of the first few records I ever purchased back in 2010. I sprung for an original pressing a few years later when I starting making decent money. It’s one of my top 5 albums of all time.
Speaking of QOTSA/Kyuss... Have you checked out Hermano? That first EP is soooo good. Love that MLB, I dont have an official apple, but I have a super nice promo copy of shine
Great list, I'd love to have that Tool album and the Mother Love Bone one in my collection. My bucket list would probably also include some 80s Metallica albums.
I searched for and drooled over Slave to the Grind for 30 years before Run Out Groove put out their cool. 2lp red version.i hope to find their green version of Bloody Kisses one day
You didn't get that latest Revolver reissue of Bloody Kisses?...took forever but I got it, and it's WARPED!! grrrr....but glad Skid Row put out that box set, I literally wanted it just for Slave To the Grind
It's funny how looking back compresses chronology and events. It's good to see how the Stooges have been getting recognized over the last couple of decades. Do have to point out that the explosive time referred to here seemed to be moving pretty slow while it was happening, the last Stooges album in the 70's came out in 73' and the first Ramones record was released in 76'. For sure there were lots of other things happening, but there was a pretty big gap between the original Stooges and the punk stuff that came out later.
So true, keep looking, I came into possession of one of my two "most wants", Skynyrd 's " Second Helping " on the Sounds of the South label, now in search of " Pronounced..." on SOS, currently have a copy on the MCA rainbow black label but I really Want that SOS
My bucket list album Is the urban outfitters variant of five seconds flat by lizzy McAlpine. I could have gotten it for retail price but I went for a different album instead and now it's sold out and the cheapest copy is $60 which Is still more than I'd like to spend. I'd spend $40 - $50 max for it.
Hey GI love that Neil Young unplugged, takes me back to laying bricks in Germany in the 90s! CD only though, alas. I know you did an Unplugged video a while back, you don't seem to have Soda Stereo Unplugged in your collection, that's a good one if you like Latin rock. I would say my biggest vinyl grail might be the Stones Stripped from 1995....do you ever see that one? Or maybe you even have it! I've never seen it out in the wild....one day I hope! Cheers!
Back 2000-2003ish, the only places I could find new sealed vinyl were Virgin Megastore and Hot Topic. Aenima was crazy easy to find at Hot Topic. Had I known, I would have got a bunch. One I was stupid NOT to buy was Dave Matthews Before These Crowded Streets. They couldn't give that vinyl away in 98. I was at a record convention and they had a stack of em $8 each. How stupid was I
Grails? Thanks GI I’m looking for Keith and Donna and Kingfish live and kickin Rubber Soul Beggars Banquet Disraeli Gears Stage Fright nothing too rare Manassas Down The Road thanks for asking! One more Baron Von Tollbooth and the Chrome Nun Paul Kantner
I have a feeling that last repress of Mad Season probably sounds better than the og. Could be wrong, but not long ago the reissue was pretty decently priced.
Welp Aenima is indeed on this list as expected ❤. On my list too but yet acquired . Repressing is confirmed by Mackie Osbourne but of course Tool time is a thing.🤞Great list btw. That Miles Davis I bet is great and love the stories that come with these acquisitions.
45-60 minutes after watching this I stood in my recordstore, Big Dipper here in Oslo buying that Mark Lanegan LP (far cheaper 2016 edition) and 3 other records… so much for the «lets take it a bit slower with all that music you buy Morten» goal… 🙄
The only one that looked interesting to me was Neil Young, but then again, I'm over 20 years older than you. I have progressed away from 1960's and 1970's rock for the most part. I typically prefer classical and popular types of music from the 1950's and 1960's that are not rock. So much music, so little time.
Interesting video I’ve really only have 2 that I’ll always want and will probably never get due to the price. Lost Crowes Freak N Roll Into The Fog Could get both online but I could never justify paying the asking price. Hopefully unofficials of both will hit the streets.
I do have Lost Crowes, and it's fantastic. I passed on Freak N Roll a few years back and now regret it, but even then the price was too high. Maybe someday.
@@inthesewoods416 if I had acquired a bucket list LP that happened to be fronted by a female it would have certainly been included. But….I didn’t. 🤷♂️
Unfortunately, Tim, women are few and far between, as far as classic rock and roll goes. Sexism? You bet! But ladies like Anne and Nancy Wilson, Juliana Hatfield, Chrissie Hynde, Stevie Nicks, Grace Slick, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Girlschool, Sinead O' Conner, Norah Jones, Sade, Sleater Kinney, Adele...awesome artists!
I have the same QOTSA, and Mother Love Bone. My copy of the Tool is unfortunately a boot, and tbh from memory, not a very good sounding boot (I'll have to give it another listen now however to double check that!) It's infuriating how Tool does their vinyl!

Love it! And yes....a lifestyle for sure, for those who are willing to commit.
I have all my original Stooges albums. Our band Pace in 69 and 70 did 1969, No Fun and I Wanna Be Your Dog. Such fun to play. Jim
Awesome! I’ve grown to appreciate them so much in recent years

Another great idea for a video. Enjoyed it as always. Nice work GI

Great album! Love their early, raw stuff

This Desert Life was on my bucket list. Thankfully bootlegs have finally been pressed and bought one on your last Whatnot ✅
Right on! And yeah…that boot is solid. Have played it a ton over the last few weeks
I had Bob Dylan unplugged seems like I had this unplugged Neil good list GI! Interesting taste
Man, thats alot of Doosu and Tripping Daisy copies on the wall behind you. :)
Very impressive list, GI!!! Really enjoyed this video! ❤️🎶❤️
Glad you enjoyed!

@@mickschnabel thanks for the tip on the Revolver reissue✌ damn..i hope they fix your order soon
Mother Love Bone!! I want a copy of that one as well!
We have some import/unofficial copies coming in soon if interested. They have typically been pretty solid pressings
Original copy of Samhain's November Coming Fire is my no. 1 bucket list item.

Can’t wait for them to release the remaster of this, sounds like it’s coming soo, at least in comparison to the time since 96 lol
Man, that Miles Davis record is incredible!

I would love to get Mad Season Above original press, and Nirvana Love Buzz 7” but wishful thinking.
Yeah that's a tough one. I was lucky to grab Mad Season back in the 90's.
...that Nirvana though.
I have a feeling that last repress of Mad Season probably sounds better than the og. Could be wrong, but not long ago the reissue was pretty decently priced.
I love that NTX Vinyl/Pearl Jam shirt!
Thanks, me too! (They are avail on our site to purchase if you’d like one for yourself 😉)

'Owning'. So what about The Insect Trust, Fever Tree, Kaleidoscope and HP Lovecraft?
What about them?
Funny I saw Beck w Neil Young at Jones Beach 96
Nice! I don’t think I caught him til ‘98 or so
random question, do you store your records in the outer sleeve?
All my albums are stored in clear outer sleeves. Not sure if that's what you were asking.

I didn't even know Phil Mickelson collected vinyl 🤷
