8:59 Director Phobos be like, "can you feel the raw energy of the other place?! It is unmatched, Let me show you!", then proceeds to throw garbage at you
when Hank, Christoff, Deimos and Sanford said: "we can do this! we are the madness combat" and procceded to beat phobos and gestalt while madness combating, I cried
The funny thing is, I managed to beat Phobos using guns, just make sure your allies don't grab them and you should have an easy fight, on madness, you're fucked no matter what you do.
@Dr. Crackpot it took me alot of to beat you and as seen in the credit scene church and jorge were revived once again by the mercs i dont know if im wrong
(proceeds to get fucking mauled by threee regular grunts((even with the fragment and the strongest melee weapon somehow even stronger then the god damn broom and the power of the other place)))
I did pretty good i got to his other phase im guessing where he has the artifact and died when he was almost dead but i had one corpus and sanford and deimos i dont protect but i revive
I think you made an epic momen, when Hank picked up a katana and an odach and started fighting phobos on melee. But that's just my opinion. I can be wrong.
honesotly i hate this boss fight. legit got locked out and had to redo the whole fight because one of the plugs went into the wall, making me unable to grab it. honestly such a garbage boss fight. its cool but honestly atleast spend some time with bugs cuz this is filled with them.
This makes me think, it’s said Project Gestalt is a mag who’s purpose is to consume S3LFs (souls) for the intent of being some vessel or gateway, and Krinkles sad himself in a stream recently that it’s not Phobos controlling him, but Phobos is one of the many S3LFs that were inside him. I’m a bit confused so all regarded when christoff says “it’s purpose is to consume the other place and become unto a god realm” what does that mean exactly? This is really cool in concept to me, but i’m having trouble understanding Phobos’ ultimate motive with him, seeing as how they had to use a S3LF extractor to get him out but he’s also a lot more powerful than the others as seen. Sorry if that was poorly worded lol but it’s fun to theorize on. There was a log you could read about him during “The Climb” and it said could grow indefinitely so maybe that was in reference to the S3LFs he consumes as the game goes on, in that same log it says if he as a project works, “project nexus would’ve achieved its final purpose and they wouldn’t need to fear the collapse of reality again” or something like that hmmmm
Phobos played the long con and ended up using project Gestalt to hopefully ascend to godhood. From what i could gather it was implied that Phobos intentionally fabricated research notes to get the scientists to go through with restarting gestalt again. The man literally gave up on everyone else and only wanted to endow himself, even if that meant the deaths of thousands and the damning of Nevada in the process.
Since I’m pretty sure the other place generates S3LFs alongside getting them from those who die in Nevada, Phobos initially would have suggested project gestalt as a way to keep S3LFs from transferring to the other place by absorbing it into himself, thus keeping the other place from gaining too many souls and imploding. I think Phobos’ actual intention, however, was to use these accumulated S3LFs and ascend to godhood.
He was made so phobos could rise up inside him when Gestalt was defeated by the crew, then use the weakness to absorb the s3lfs (souls) of the other place (Hell/Heaven), which would've boosted him to, well, godhood.

9:38 "Behold the weapons of the Employer at my very fingertips " the most badass line in the whole game . i really wish it was voice acted .
but mag bandits: IM STILL HUNGRY!!!! cooler
Even more badass when that weapon is a oneshot during madness mode
@@ArceTheTroll lol took me over 4h to beat it on madness.
“Behold the power of the other place” is a line only madness combat fans could take seriously

This is realitable, madness you are just doomed with every attack
I pretty much only used guns, although when I did go in your melees seem to do absurd damage
Using the laser weapons make Deimos hardcarry alone
I kid you not
I Like how comes Jebus teamed up with them, amazing.
12:58 This is where the fun begins.
I thought Phobos was just in the pause menu screen. But hey I was wrong
Church and Jorge wouldve been harder tbh
Imagine this:
10 hits to frustrate them instead of just 5, and you have to take their armor off bit by bit
The Dissonance weapons don't help either
@Dr. Crackpot it took me alot of to beat you and as seen in the credit scene church and jorge were revived once again by the mercs i dont know if im wrong

Ooooh so that's why he is so small (if you compare him to the final battle one) when you first meet him
