Look for catfish floats. You should be able to get them at local tackledealers. Otherwise fishdeal.co.uk is a good bet for this sort of stuff.

@@alexdrapers1752 how about any plastic bottle with a strong elastic band round the top attached to a small-eyed link-swivel, then just add a band or stop knot on your main line to set the depth. Free running and will just sit on your trace swivel once hooked up... I am lucky enough to live in far north of Sweden and will be heading to Norway to try something like this from the shore.....

    Hi Paul.
With you in August 23 in havoysund, just viewed the float fishing for the halibut.
Just a question will the floats etc be available to buy in norway?
If not do you have a link to purchase them here in the uk?

I would wait until you get there. They always have them in stock at the tackle shop onsite. You can get them in this country from Walleys Shark rigs look him up on facebook tell him I sent you and he will know what floats you need

Hey John, the floats used in the video are SPRO Big Wallers, however, we have moved onto using "Wally's Shark Rigs" which you can find on Facebook which sells floats like this for a great price!
