The 2nd generation of the Mercedes GLK is the compact SUV GLC. Mercedes has changed the nomenclature for the SUV with the introduction of the 2nd generation. The last letter always indicates the platform donor - in the Mercedes GLC so the C-Class.
The new Mercedes GLC has not only a new name, the design of the internally designated X 205 SUV has changed significantly in the new generation. If the X 204 still had a very edgy exterior, the X 205 follows the current roundish design line.
The Mercede GLK is offered with inline four-cylinder engines. Two diesels - GLC 220 d and GLC 250 d - are available. There is also a Mercedes GLC 250 as gasoline and a GLC 350 e, which combines a gasoline engine with an electric power unit. All engines are coupled with four-wheel drive 4-Matic. For the first time, Mercedes also offers the GLC in an AMG version and an AMG Sport line.
