- Today I can present to you the full DRIVE & SOUND test with the all new 2015 / 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC 250 d 4Matic (X253) delivering 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque through the incredible 9G-Tronic transmission. GLC means that this is following the GLK and therefore its in the same class as BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Porsche Macan. I was very lucky to get one of those new GLCs with the 250 Diesel Motor and in AMG-Line, a stunning car that also has a great power-train. You can definitely feel that it is a lot lighter than the GLK, sometimes it almost feels like you are driving a new C-Class. On the other hand the ride-comfort is just superb, on pair with a Porsche Macan having PASM and a comfort mode like in an S-Class, really! This particular car comes in dimond-silver metallic paint which is a mix between blue and silver, between glacier and matte, the best GLC color I have seen on our trip so far! Another thing that really sets this car apart is the great noise isolation in cab, really astonishing and again on S-Class level. If you LIKE this don't hesitate to COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE!

Forgot to mention: good review and the GLC seems a very nice car. Mine would be a new GLC coupé with a more powerful diesel engine in 2016!
much better looking than GLK
I loved the more aggressive exterior lines of the GLK. This looks too tame in my opinion. The interior of the GLC, however, is worlds better.

0:21 was it floored in sports mode? Sounds like a sports car from the interior but when you opened up the bonnet it sounded like a an old diesel pickup truck :D
I am having mine delivered soon (250d) so very curious if its going to be faster than my old Touareg 2010 3.0 V6 which was fast after 30 mph but above all is it a better drive?
2 weeks of ownership and impressed - drives very well and smooth. Feels very fast, you don't even realize 75mph which feels like nothing! Beats the Touareg hands down even though the engine and HP is lower.
It's a BIG WAGON. A Tourer. I don't think you'll need gloves to drive it.

Nice video. Just if I may mention, one cannot measure acceleration on this way, because a tacho always shows higher speed than real. Eventually, one can measure the offset by Navy or by external devices of high precision.

What kind of camera did you use to film this?
Hi, when will Mercedes install a new engine line-up in all of it's cars? It seems that MB is way behind on power, 4 cyl diesel: 204 hp against BMW 231 hp, VW (and Audi later) 240 hp, Volvo 225 hp. Plus no V6 diesel engines available in C or GLC. Same story for the 4 cyl petrol engines.
Also check out the CO2 emissions: a GLE 350 cdi (258 hp): approx. 180 gr. , the new Audi Q7 tdi (272 hp): appprox.149 gr.
It seems Mercedes has some serious catching up to do if it does not want to stay behind it's main rivals.

+reurt1 Just test drove the 250d. I drive a BMW X3 35d. How does it compare? Obviously it is down on power (204ps vs. 313ps) but the car still feels nimble enough. It is comfortable and quiet (more so than the BMW) and the cabin feels much classier than the BMW. Really a very nice car to drive. I will wait for the introduction of the new E class (January 2016 in Detroit ?) which will introduce a whole new line up of engines. Apparently most of the engines will be boosted by an electric engine of some sort (soft hybrid and full hybrid). Perhaps they will also boost the power of the 250d (which as I mentioned before is lagging behind the competition now). And then there will also be the GLC Coupé...........!
How about reviewing the GLC43 AMG?

C'est un 220d et non un 250d que vous essayez. Le couple de votre modele s'arrete à 400nm, alors que celui du 250d va jusqu'à 500nm...

Cuando acelera, el motor vibra como si se fuera a desarmar... no me da confianza esto. Me la imagino en una finca intentando ser 4 x 4 y desajustada en 3..2..1.. Tuve la oportunidad de hacer un Test Driving con la GLK y con 1000 kms le sonaba todo... creo que me voy por la la ALL NEW FORTUNER 2016 de TOYOTA una verdadera 4 x 4!!!

Wie siehst du den Wagen im Vergleich zum GLE?
Insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Qualität des Innenraums und das Raumgefühl?
Der ist wirklich sehr nah dran am GLE, ein klasse Auto. Der Fahrkomfort und die Geräuschdämmung ist auf dem gleichen Niveau, die Materialien auch fast ebenbürtig. Das weniger an Platz macht aus meiner Sicht das viel agilere Fahrwerk wieder wett.
+Automann-TV Konnte auf der IAA feststellen, dass der GLC in einigen Details sogar hochwertiger wirkt. Ist wohl darauf zurückzuführen, dass der GLC aus der neuen Modellgeneration stammt, während der GLE nur ein Facelift des schon ziemlich alten ML ist. Der wiederum auf der noch älteren E-Klasse (W212) basiert, die 2008 erschienen ist. Zum Beispiel sind nahezu alle Knöpfe im GLC aus Alu, im GLE die meisten aus Kunststoff.

Wird es da ein AMG Modell geben ? Oder ein glc500?
+amokthree Das 500er Modell gibt es erst ab Modellen der oberen Mitelklasse, sprich E-Klasse; GLE/ GLE Coupé, CLS und natürlich in der Oberklasse. In der Mittelklasse ist er nicht vorgesehen, da der 500er V8 einem AMG-Modell "zu sehr ans Blech" fahren würde und sich aufgrund des Aufwandes daher nicht lohnt. Ein AMG GLC63/ AMG GLC63S ist vorgesehen.

hanse hinterser Puh...in this spec its around 70k EUR in Germany, but is has every option of the price list. With a smaller engine and trim it starts at 45k EUR, in Germany.
