After resetting my PC to upgrade to UEFI, I wanted to reinstall the driver, which I had been using in conjunction with my DualShock 3 since my wired PDP Xbox One controller's right trigger broke, but I was having problems getting it working again. Turns out all I had to do was install igfilter.inf. To that, I say you're a legend!

I was using other drivers for my PS3 controller. the BT driver never worked and a few days ago the D-pad started malfunctioning. I installed the drivers you suggested. D-pad was fixed and I have BT connection now. Big thank you for this!

The big issue I have is that after following all directions, both of my PS3 DS3 controllers keep rotating the LEDs 1-2-3-4-1-etc. and aren't actually working inside of the game I'm trying to play (Overcooked). I rebooted both PC and controllers a number of times, but nothing fixed my issue. Sadly, cannot see at all why this is happening. Controllers are clearly detected by the dshidmini program, but why aren't they working? Idk
DsHidMini Driver is easy to install but is bugged, during the time playing a PC game, using a Dual Shock3, the commands that move game character suffer for a intervals of random inputs, the game register multiple direction inputs and you are unable to play this, after a time the behavior backs to normal but again later the problem returns, and again, and again, repeating the cycle. The bad interval take around 30 seconds, after that you can play well several minutes and repeat.
This finally worked but I noticed whilst playing other games I would get like lagspike/hitches stuttering happen even easy run games like league and csgo, stutting fps drops for like 0.5 of a second. has anyone else had this issue currently have uninstalled all the gamepad software and drivers to see if this was what was causing the issue

There is "but", what about the vibrartion of my joy ps3, was working through scptoolkit but not through your guide, vibration is gone, would be great to have it back for F1 2022. Thank you for the guide. I ordered a PS2 Controller and a single black PS2 to USB adapter and got detected as "PS3 Controller" in joy.cpl window. I found this video and after the procedutre it is now read as "DS3 Compatible HID Device". I changed the HID Device Mode in DSHMC app to DS4Windows for the controller and used the DS4Windows app with Xbox preset and now my PS2 Controller is detected now as an Xbox Controller.
After years, did finaly worked for me. Just one thing, my controllers get connect as 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 2 (after first use, they were both 4 and 4). Couldn't find any setting for this. Any idea?
Yeah at the time of making this video. The other drivers were also outdated. So I figured might as well bother to sort out the method that is the most recent.
@@ChupacabraTutorials Update: These drivers seemed to work great at first, but after 5-10 minutes in game (forza horizon 5) I would start getting constant random controller inputs which made the game unplayable. Only way to fix was unplug and re-plug in the controller every 5 mins. I tried four different usb cords, different usb ports on my PC, two different ps3 controllers, and fiddled with game/driver/steam/windows settings for hours. Inputs would be perfectly fine in controller properties, but go haywire in game. So, I am back on SCP drivers and it is working perfectly after 3 hours in game. Not sure what the reason is, but just posting this here in case others are having the same issue. Luckily, SCP drivers were easier to setup than I remembered. Thanks for the tutorial anyway :)
Hey, it looks like it works well. Sadly i can't make xbox app see my ps3 pad as xbox pad- i can't play games via cloud gaming. Any idea how to fix it? Changing device mode is not doing anything sadly.
It does work fine on cable but it doesn't show up on the list after I plug out the joypad (everything installed and running as admin) It popped up in the Bluetooth search and had to use pin 0000 but afterwards nothing happened. EDIT. Nevermind, after few reinstalations of BT driver and restarts - it worked out, thanks a lot for the tutorial :) !

When I right click on dshidmini.inf and select "install" an error pops up "the inf file you selected does not support this method of installation". So my controller isn't showing up in the program and I'm guessing that's why?? Do you know why I'm getting this error? Right clicking the igfilter.inf and installing worked so I don't know why the first one didn't. Can someone help?

Did not work for me. I did everything as you said and my controller did show up in the software but when I go into the controller settings through control panel to test it out, it doesn't do anything. The controller is connected to my PC via wire. After connecting, the 4 lights on the controller blinks continuously and stops after some time which I think means it has been fully charged? Idk, but I do know that my controller and wire are both fine because I've tested it on my smartphone and it works fine there. Kindly help me.

L2 and R2 for some reason doesn't work for me, I tried as XINPUT and as DS4 through the DS4 app?
