My Dad was a sailor, a weekend warrior sailor, but a sailor none the less. That kind of connected me with this. I do have a question. The funerals I have been too, the one I remember, after the funeral there a pot luck dinner. Did they have something like that? Not sure if it's a country thing to do, but it does get people talking to each other.
I am proud to be an American seeing this God loving man be in charge of our country at one time and finally getting what he deserved. The love of the nation. It matters not when you receive it, as time goes by you can see the pieces fall in place. May peace and comfort go to all the Carter family. You did a great job.

I'm so happy that he got to live up until his last days in Plains Georgia where he grew up and that he wasn't threatened by anybody because everybody loved him. I don't believe he even needed anybody to protect him after he wasn't the President anymore and after all of these years. He was a true and faithful servant of God. I loved that he was leading Bible Studies at the church in Plains Georgia. God bless you Jimmy Carter and your wife Rosalyn and the Carter family 😁
