This is the first video of yours that I’m watching and I’m looking forward to watching others you’ve posted before this. This video has intriqued me a lot. I’ve recently opened it business where I literally haven’t done anything with it besides purchasing stuff for the business like heat presses/mug pressed, sublimation printer and an X tool diode laser. Even bought a cricut and a heavy duty paper guillotine And a cinch machine and yet I literally have done nothing businesswise to make money. Just have these things sitting around waiting to be used. Have a label printer, bags for items, sublimation blanks to make a bunch of stuff on, wood to sublimate or make shelves, picture frames, towel racks, etc with…and I really want to get started just doing something because I’m sitting on money. I just don’t know what to start with. I’m scared. I work a full time job outside trying to make this work. Some days are long. I’m tired. I worry I’ll fail before I get started. And it’s just made me Procrastinate for way too long. I have started following a lot of smaller RUclips creators that do the same thing as what I wanna do…(or some do some things I wanna do and others do some other things I wanna do that the others don’t). Hope that makes sense…but I’m looking forward to seeing your growth in previous videos. I hope it helps give me that extra little push to actually make stuff happen.
I am so happy how honest you are with your vlogs! Your honesty helped me out earn my confidence back! You are now my current inspiration to keep going!
Yes! I have been preparing myself for months. Sometimes taking time makes you go further than most people think. Thank you for sharing your wonderful journey, can't wait to see how far you're going to get!
I can definitely agree on the being impatient part and I make sure to remind myself everyday that it is better to take my time and launch rather than rush and have many regrets later knowing how contemplative I can be. Thank you for the great video and wishing you the best of luck on your next year of running your small business!
With faire they did that to me as well I just applied again and clicked “yes” when they ask if you’ve done wholesale before and I got it straight away! It might be worth trying. I think people can also “refer” you with a link which gets you in right away.
Have people mentioned comic cons or anime cons for you? There’s more support for art there and people go to spend money - watched a lot of vlogs where people found their moment at cons - only thing is that it is super costly for a table compared to what your used to 😊
I absolutely love your vlogs hun, you are just so down to earth and honest! I’m just about to do my first market in October and very excited, you definitely inspire 🥰
Girl your story is so inspiring and relatable I was about to tear up! 🥹 I’ve never found someone talk about the same struggles I’m going through as a fellow small biz owner and it’s so nice to hear that I’m not alone. Im so proud of you and can’t wait to see how far you go! 🥰
Really great video, I’m more or less at the same stages as you and have encounter the same obstacles and so I really relate with your videos ! I love seing all the way you have come and the transparency you have on the difficulties, I really hope it will work for you 😊 looking forwad your next videos 😁 (and sorry for the mistakes I’m french 😂)
Do you follow taylah rose? She started RUclips a couple of years ago and now she says she makes 6 figures from just RUclips and just bought her house at 24 - game changer for her and now her Scrunchie online/market business is just extra - you’ll get there 😊 fyi - she says doing shorts really boosts her on here
I started with 7 items because I rushed to open my shop and I regret doing it that way (my items were all art prints and a few stickers and they didn't sell at all) I think for the best possible start for your small business 20-30 products is a good place to start!
In my opinion, I think you play it too safe with your art. You went to animation school and we don’t really see what you’re capable of doing. I didn’t even know you went to animation school, if when I first watched your channel I thought you were just this want to be artist with no artistic education or training. You made simple prints of a duck and mushrooms. Artists have done this hundreds or thousands of times over. And frankly it’s boring and I think that’s why you haven’t had more success, people find it boring and don’t want to spend money on it. I’d like to see you actually draw and be original.

How many shop items do you recommend starting with?
