It definitely helps. Without the pods when I first installed the 65 jet if I stood on back of boat the water line would be within inches of the top of transom. With the pods 2 adults can sit or stand on pods and water is only alittle more that half way up. They definitely help! I’m happy I installed them.
Thanks for the response. Going from a 146 sea nymph with a 25 prop to the ambush should open up a bunch more river for me. Gonna look at selling the 25hp merc and the 60/40 to get a bigger jet in the spring.

Just bought the same boat but with a 60/40 jet. Thinking about doing the same thing. Hows the pods balance out the heavier motor?
