Flash doesn't get vanished like that, in the OG timeline when eobard thawne first appeared in that timeline in the future, he admired the flash and wanted to be like him so he studied about how the flash got his powers then successfully recreated the particle accelerator explosion but by the time he went to save the crowd as he said, the flash had already arrived and saved the crowd and that triggered his rage and anger and then he somehow found the flash's real name and went kill the flash as a child then flash comes and saved his younger child version and the same story as we saw in S1x1 after that he vanished during the crisis which we saw about the antimatter wave etc. And in the OG timeline, reverse flash and flash didn't have the conversation infact the flash was not there at all that day and it was totally different from what we saw in S9x10, in the OG timeline they both came at the same from the speedforce portal and then the same fight and stopping our barry from not saving his mother.
I think that the reason that the Barry Allen that we saw in the battle in the first episode of the series and this episode was that during crisis on infinite earths, back in season six, when the Multiverse was destroyed, Oliver queen created a new Multiverse where the universe timeline that buried now lives on is only the timeline he remembers the original timeline of the flash, from the first episode no longer existed so him time traveling back in time to get you Eobard can longer happened because that is a timeline it can no longer exist

I have a theory that and season five or any season before season six Barry could have time traveled to before the death of his murder Mom‘s murder, and if he time traveling forward and time he would go into the original timeline, and now no longer existed because the timeline he lives on, has not yet been created

But in 2013 the p.a. had to fail/explode and release the dark matter that created the flash and other metas, so there's no proof that in other timeline flash got his powers in 2020. 2.When barry created flashpoint and both parents were alive, he was losing his connection to the speedforce because in that timeline wally was the flash, and the rival was the avatar of the nsf, because there wasn´t a reverse flash either. 3. If an OG timeline exist where barry grew up with his parents and became the flash, why would he travel back in time only to save his younger self and not his mother? why would he let that "ideal" life vanish? it's not logical. In ep. 9x10 tawne learns that killing barry's mother is a fixed point, which cannot be changed no matter what, so that was always meant to happen. In ep. 1x09 tawne said the same thing to barry, "it was your mother's destiny to die that night". So the OG timeline is the show from s1 to s5 until tawne (2049) manipulated Nora west allen to altered the timeline, therefore crisis happened in 2019, instead of 2024, so that´s where future flash an RF come from. That's how the people of the show tried to fix it anyway I think. But hey, it's just my opinion. Given all the changes in the timeline and the new multiverse, plus forced script and showrunners changes, I think they did an amazing full circle episode in script, music and acting. ❤
There is no reason for the timeline to change slightly after Arrowverse Flash (S9) replaces his OG Timeline counterpart. OG Timeline Thawne would still go on to create Arrowverse Flash no matter what. There is nothing there that would cause the timeline to change, even slightly. As far as Thawne knows Arrowverse Barry, whom he thought was his OG Timeline Barry, got “erased” from the timeline and that is his reason to create The Flash to get home. Ofc our Flash didnt actually get erased and only zapped back to the present but Thawne doesn’t know that.
