I freaking loved your all "you can't put love in a box" speech. So true! Otherwise, really interested in this book. Sounds great. The fact that it makes you think and talk about love in this way probably says a lot about this book!
I got to wait a lot to get this but the cover is beautiful, the description sounds great,I love these kind of formats-so light but at the same time not,fun and enjoyable- and loved your review!:)
I can really relate to the Internet friendships. One of my best friends who I've known for 6 years, we met online through a Harry Potter website. And we actually met in real life for the first time when she came to my wedding! I love that people can relate to this type of relationship because it's real and honest, and in no ways inferior to an "in real life" relationship.
I feel like it's really important to say that GENA/FINN is about 2 bisexual girls, written by 2 bisexual authors. I've been following the authors for a long time and they've been very clear about it. Sexuality isn't a spoiler and it's already difficult enough to find LGBT+ lit.
Thank you sooooo much! Like oh my Clark Gable, it's not a spoiler to say that characters are queer, you are so right, and like, if nobody tells me, how am I supposed to find these books! Uh, you made my day, literally just scrolled down to see if anybody would make a comment just like yours, thank you!
+Emma Karen You're welcome! Glad I could make your day. :) I just want to do is make sure this book (and others like it) get into the hands of the people who need it most.
+Rocket Reads I second the thank you! And also huge great big yes to 'sexuality isn't a spoiler', I'm pretty much always looking for books that feature bisexual characters (as well as bisexual creators in general) so knowing this is just going to bump it towards the top of my to-read list :)
+sophoes Hannah Moskowitz has written several other books, too, so I was really excited to find her. I have a list that keeps growing of LGBT+ authors! LGBTQReads(dot)com is a really good blog run by a queer author; it's brand new but it's a really good resource already.
Now I'm really excited about this book and want to pick it up asap but sadly i have to wait till october (at least) 😔 At least i have another story to look forward to :)
Roomies is a book with a similar premise--two girls that are about to be roomies in college and start a friendship through emails--and it is so good and very refreshing too! I really recommend it! 😊
So cool to see this review! I'm a dutch writer and I'm gonna translate this book this summer. My first translation ever so very exciting! Glad to see you loved it, gonna read it myself very soon. ☺
I'm so excited for this now!!! It sounds so relatable because I met one of my closest friends through fanfiction and Fangirling and now we talk everyday about whatever is on our minds. Hope to meet her one day too!
This book sounds amazing! It's nice to have books in a different kind of format sometimes and it sounds like it deals with some important issues. Great review xx
I loved this book a lot. Personally I felt that at the end Gena and Finn ended up like sisters. Probably one of my shortest reads yet and I loved the characters and the theme. It surprised me as well.
If you liked the format of this book, you should read The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarty!! It's told entirely through penpal correspondence!
I wish I could honestly say that I find the concept of online friendships relatable, but I have just never come across people online that I have been able to create a real friendship with. We always loose touch quite quickly.
I'm intrigued! I hadn't heard of this before but it sounds like my kind of book - I've just added it to my wishlist (for next month's haul) :) Great review!
Wow now I'm convinced to go and buy this book haha literally yesterday I found about it on Goodreads and I decided I liked it so this just gave me the push to really want to read it (:
Great review:) Hey Reagan, I was wondering if maybe at some point you could do a video of your favorite historical fiction? I know it's a bit random and summer isn't typically the season for historical fiction I guess but I know you've made a video about your favorite fantasy and contemporary as well. I'm curious! Plus I recently had this desire to pick up more (I've only read willingly). Just a request though:)
Regan!! I was at BookCon and just perusing the booths because I had some time between signings and I see this guy at a booth kind of looking around smiling at people and I see something at the booth that catches my attention so I walk over and he's like 'Oh my gosh! Hi! Have you heard of _____" And I was like, "YEAH! One of the booktubers I watch was JUST talking about that!" and we got to talking and I thought it was just someone really excited about these books, right? It took me about five minutes to look down at his name tag. Regan. Regan. -Regan-. It was Brandon Mull and he was talking about Fablehaven. I may have felt like an idiot for the rest of the con because it took me that long to figure it out. But then I got a signed thing from him and I'm totally going to be reading his books soon, so I guess it wasn't all bad and embarrassing.
i would love to read this book since its summer time and i dont have anything else to do except prepare for my final exams which are probably 2 weeks away -_-.. please someone stop these exams >.
question!! does it follow a standard narrative format? it sounds like it might be the type of story to include a lot of text messages or IMs or forum posts or whatever so I'm just curious how it's structured!
I wish the whole "online friendship" thing was relatable to me but I get way too anxious speaking to people online and in real life 😅
+CiaraMarie Harrison I am glad it isn't just me :)
+The Astonishing Ashley Same here
I can relate to that. I mean, I'm awkward in making convos.
hi
HAI.
whattttt i cant believe this is the first ive heard of this book it sounds amazing
+alecslibrary Love your profile pic still reading it but 'm flying through it.
+Carly Davenport thanks!! i made myself slow down while reading it so i wont have to wait for the next one as long lmao
LOL me too that's partly why I'm not finished. The other half is school. If only I could read all day instead of doing tests. :(

I'm glad you reviewed this because I don't think I would have heard about this book otherwise. Definitely going to have to pick this book up.
I'm an activist for asexuality and aromanticism, so I'm really happy that you said that
at least that's something i accept (asexuality)
+Devon Munn excuse me?
No offense, just noting something, sorry
+Devon Munn I asked because I didn't understand, just that.
I'm so excited for this now!!! It sounds so relatable because I met one of my closest friends through fanfiction and Fangirling and now we talk everyday about whatever is on our minds. Hope to meet her one day too!
This book blew my mind. I totally did not expect it to be so amazing. More people need to read this book.
I read this book in 1 sitting and it was so good and I think it's my favorite book. I cried a good significant amount in the end
This book sounds amazing! It's nice to have books in a different kind of format sometimes and it sounds like it deals with some important issues. Great review xx
Great review, I'm totally going to have a look for it in the bookstore
I loved this book a lot. Personally I felt that at the end Gena and Finn ended up like sisters. Probably one of my shortest reads yet and I loved the characters and the theme. It surprised me as well.
More vlogs please! I enjoy these videos but I miss the vlogs on the other channel!

Regan, have you read The Hobbit by JRRTolkien?? I'm sure you would looove it. Such an amazing classic
Peruseproject, have you read "The art of being normal"? if not i totally recommend it to you 😊
question!! does it follow a standard narrative format? it sounds like it might be the type of story to include a lot of text messages or IMs or forum posts or whatever so I'm just curious how it's structured!
+Karen Mae It's almost entirely texts, im's, tumblr posts, fanart, and online journal posts!
Rocket Reads ohh thank you!
Sounds goood!!!
You look exactly like Jessica from True Blood
Yeah, I was hoping this was gonna be a light read, and it was Definitely Not.
