    One of the most intelligent and respected leaders ever, King Abdullah has very different and wise approaches in handling all issues; Jordan is considered as the safest country in Middle East and North Africa, He decided to host the biggest number of refugees who escaped the wars (even bigger than Europe and the rest of the world have accepted), King Abdullah and the Royal Family in Jordan has always been the reason for stabilizing the peace and pushing it forward to avoid any further wars, he has anticipated a lot of crisis and offered the solutions on the right time, Jordan has limited natural resources but King Abdullah has made Jordan as one of the leading countries in MENA region. He is the ideal leader for Jordan, a country that believes in respect and giving for good causes and freedom, a country that is located in a region full of wars and bad political alliances. Jordanian people shares their homes and resources with refugees, I hope the world can learn from that at least. Thumbs Up for Jordan and King Abdullah.

The culture or strategy of Jordan as simple as effective it is: Make more friends less enemies and avoid unnecessary clashes. Jordan is an amazing country the only challenge is: economy that hits most of the aspects of the country at many levels. However, Jordan is a proven-concept of co-existance and unbias state.

      No there are no elected Kings anywhere in the world. We have an elected Parliament and a prime minister though. In internal affairs, the king does not get involved to avoid the scrutiny of the public. With external affairs, he is much more involved; although the government can limit his role if it decided. He is well more popular though than most governments and parliaments in Jordan. It is not perfectly democratic but the King is no tyrant. As a Jordanian, I prefer it this way. It works and it guarantees some stability in a noisy neighbourhood. Hopefully, in the future, we can have a more democratic system like that in Britain.

    King Abdullah II's comments about the similarity between Islam and Christianity are utterly deceitful and misleading.
    Abdullah: "...We, as Muslims, believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah... " Really!?, Muslims reject the divinity of Christ as a form of idolatry (association), Allah explicitly states He has no children and invites muslims to exterminate those who believe it.
    Abdullah: "We believe in the Bible and the Torah." Really!? Muslims believe in "a" Bible and Torah but reject the Christian Bible and Jewish Torah as evil self-serving falsifications.
    M. Zakaria and the CNN, by their silence, collude with this false narrative. Christian leaders must have the courage to speak out now before these lies spread further.

    • @SYSJET
      @SYSJET 6 лет назад

      Yes, but it's not the same book. In one book, Abraham wants to sacrifice Isaac, the Jews are chosen and everything else follows from that. In the other book, Abraham wants to sacrifice Ishmael, the Arabs are chosen and the Jews made a switch to usurp their right. In one book, Jesus dies on the cross, in the other he can't die and someone else is crucified instead. In one book God calls Jesus his son, in the other, Allah says "I have no children". You cant get more different than that.

      Every country has the right to choose where they *want* their embassy to go - but that’s not at all the same thing as where it *can* go.
      This idiotic move has drawn criticism and condemnation from around the world - including, you should note, from all of America’s oldest, stalwart allies (not just Britain, but the key middle eastern states who provide crucial intel and bases for America, and are more directly connected to regional geopolitical outcomes).
      Has *anybody* anywhere - besides Israel - said this is a good move, a wise move, a sensible move, a pragmatic move? No. Christian zealots in the states approve, but that’s it.
      Somebody in the State department should have fought this move tooth and nail to stop it from proceeding, given how it inevitably destabilizes things yet further - but No. Yet another black mark against Trump’s hopeless international diplomacy, so far...

    • @danmac6538
      @danmac6538 6 лет назад +3

      The israel;is also reject every peace proposal! What can we do?
      .
      According to the Arab Peace Initiative, 57 Arab and Muslim states will establish “full diplomatic and normal relations” with Israel, in exchange for a “comprehensive peace agreement” with the Palestinians. The Islamic Republic of Iran is among the countries that endorse the initiative.
      Jordan, May 26, 2013
      Israel could easily make peace with Iran: it only needs to evacuate some settlements, allow a few Palestinian refugees to enter Israel, and the bitter enmity between Jerusalem and Tehran is a thing of the past.
      Of course, it’s not quite that simple - but there is a theoretical kernel of truth to the aforementioned proposition. According to the Arab Peace Initiative, 57 Arab and Muslim states will establish “full diplomatic and normal relations” with Israel, in exchange for a “comprehensive peace agreement” with the Palestinians. The Islamic Republic of Iran is among the countries that endorse the initiative.
      Though not Arab, Iran is a member state of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which time and again expressed its support for the Arab Peace Initiative, including this past May in Cairo.
      A decade earlier, in May 2003, a conference of the member states’ foreign ministers in Tehran “reaffirmed its support to, and adoption of, the Arab peace initiative for resolving the issue of Palestine and the Middle-East.” Indeed, an information leaflet about the peace initiative posted on the Arab League’s official website shows the flags of all countries that endorse the proposal, including those of Libya, Syria - and Iran.
      First adopted by the Arab League in 2002, the Arab Peace Initiative has become a hot political item again since the organization mentioned for the first time the possibility of mutual agreed land swaps. The move was widely understood as a nod to changed realities on the ground that would allow Israel to retain major settlement blocs in the West Bank in a future final-status agreement.
      Yet Jerusalem remains steadfast in rejecting the overture, or at least in assertively ignoring it. Just this Friday, in Washington, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon dismissed the Arab initiative as “a spin” and “a dictation” that would force Israel to make great concessions before being able to present its own demands.
      Why the objections, the reservations, the mistrust? Okay, the likelihood of peace with Iran may sound beyond improbable, but why doesn’t Israel at least ride the initiative toward normalization with ostensibly moderate Arab states, many of which appear to be interested in teaming up with Israel against their common enemies in Tehran? (Some analysts say that the Gulf states are especially willing to normalize relations with Israel, mainly because they seek allies in their struggle against the Iranian threat.)
      Skeptics say the Arab Peace Initiative is unacceptable to Israel because of certain clauses that no government can ever agree to. Well, if so, why doesn’t Jerusalem at least try to engage with the Arab world by professing interest in the initiative, if only to demonstrate the will for peace and avoid being labeled as the party that prevents an agreement? There is so much to gain - politically and economically - in making peace with the entire Arab world. What is Israel afraid of?
      Originally, the Arab Peace Initiative offered Jerusalem diplomatic relations with the entire Arab world in exchange for a “full Israeli withdrawal from all the Arab territories occupied since June 1967,” the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and a “just” and “agreed upon” solution to the Palestinian refugee question.
      In 2002, the Israeli government was curious but perceived the initiative as a take-it-or-leave-it proposition it couldn’t possibly embrace. “On the surface, the proposal looked appealing, with its provision that the Arab states welcome peace with Israel - something they had been unwilling to do since the state’s inception,” the son of then-prime minister Ariel Sharon, Gilad Sharon, wrote in a 2011 memoir of his father. “But the details made the offer unacceptable.”
      Today, Israel’s leaders make very similar comments.
      But in the interim, it wasn’t always like this. Six years ago, then-prime minister Ehud Olmert welcomed the initiative, and in a remarkable but little-known episode of Arab-Israeli interaction, a semi-official Arab League delegation came to Jerusalem and discussed the peace proposal with Olmert and then-foreign minister Tzipi Livni.
