- Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah is probably one of the largest Jeep events on the west coast, and it's right around the corner. But there's a LOT of work that needs to get done, both to the Demon Child (our Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 that we swapped a Demon engine into) and to Chris's Land Rover! So with the clock ticking, we try to get the off road rigs prepped and ready for the trails!

But if my wife and I are in a Uber driver or a taxi driver vehicle, I normally sit behind the driver seat, so I know that nothing is going to happen to my wife, so I do the protection thing with my wife

That compressor is way too loud to be under the seat. The step child set up is way better..imo. But hey if Brittany likes it I guess it's a win. Lol

It don’t matter who is driving from myself I normally go sit in the back passenger seat, so when I’m talking to the driver, I can actually still see their face

so , our 2012 has a special fuse J13 in the power module that can be pulled up to disconnect , when the jeep is to be parked for a while , to reduce the amount of current draw from the battery . jeep calls it the "ignition off draw" fuse (iod) but it doesn't eliminate all current drain - the factory manual says that if the jeep is to sit for more than 30 days the negative of the battery should be disconnected

Seating wise I usually sit opposit the heavier person up front. Since it's likely Im the heaviest person in the back Im seeking balance.
You didn’t show us how you wired that 24volt compressor. Two batteries in series maybe just for the compressor.
Depends if your normally a driver your always going to sit on the driver side that's just what your use to as a constant driver. Or that just me and it depends if which side has more leg room other than that just naturally to the driver side I go normally

A plus to Chris for wearing proper PPE when grinding/cutting the range rover. I've seen a lot of you tubers not use safety glasses. I guess it is a personal preference to not wear PPE but there are a lot of young people who watch these videos and I am thinking it id better to show them the right way to do things!

@@Garage_Speed I get what you are saying but - I do not consider my statement all together wrong. Land Rover is the name of the vehicle whereas Range Rover is a specific type of Land Rover model. Also- BMW bought the Land Rover/Ranger Rover out in 1994. Then sold it to Ford in 2000 who sold it to TATA (an Indian Company) in 2008.

The spring compressor was cool. Much better than the Harbor Freight one I use. Of course, I don’t really use it that much because I am a “shade tree” mechanic. The light was working on Jelly’s eyes in a bad way. Or, does it automatically happen when she gets into the Demon Child?
I got ARB lockers in my full width Dynatrac's, I really like the idea of the twin compressors under the seat... I think I'm going to go that route too.

As a tall person I want to get in the front seat of the shortest person. Being married to a short lady, she will sit behind a tall person but would rather not. tall drivers always get complaints from passengers. I know cause I'm tall.

regarding those Antigravity Batteries... I'm in Phoenix... if it can survive here... it'll be fine anywhere. down to test it out in the Bronco for them :)
Hey guysI too love the ARB double compressor, Put one on my wildtrak last you and because this is an every day driver it comes in handy anytime I need compressed air.
I’m 6’3”, I sit behind the passenger because they don’t need leg room. Driver needs their seat wherever it’s comfortable, so generally, that means less leg room in the back.
You put the ARB compressor under the driver’s seat your lovely wife will be want to drive more. 🤣
I wonder what is the operating temperature range for the battery, and also the minimum and maximum temperatures the battery can take before it's damaged. I know some Lithium batteries (with certain chemistry) are sensitive to substantial low and/or high temperatures.
I have another question, what is the gas mileage in the Demon Child? I believe the Raptor gets maybe 15mpg. I can get up to 20mpg with the 2.7 eco boost in ECO with a performance chip. But mine is an everyday driver. I am seriously looking at a suspension upgrade, possibly a 37" tire bump as well, any recommendations?
As long as there isn’t a head wind, we can average about 12.5 mpg going 65-70mph
A pretty overall average is about 10.5 mpg
But it’s also worth noting that this rig is very much a “smiles per gallon” kind of vehicle 😁🤣

Anti-Gravity says their automotive batteries are designed to work above 23°F. Can't jump start it or charge if it is frozen (
Hey guys! We (AGB) do suggest an operating range of 23F-140F for our batteries for peak performance, yes. But, our batteries have proven time and time again that they will operate nominally well outside this threshold. That being said, if you're planning on an extended cold weather trip or live in an area where it's common to have ambient temps under 15-20F for an extended period of time equipment like a battery blanket should be considered.
@@maracerbdmj I was about to buy your Micro-Start and a starting battery from you guys, but then I read your warranty. Micro-Start's warranty specifically says warranty is voided if disassembled and if it is repaired by someone else besides Anti-Gravity.
Your warranty language is a violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975. You can't void a warranty if a consumer decides to open an electronic device and have that device repaired by an independent repair shop.
Sony, Microsoft and many others had warranty voided if opened seals on the PS4, Xbox, etc and had that warranty voided language if the device was opened.
Their warranty language and the seals were determined to be a violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and illegal. Those companies were told by the FTC to knock if off or face a fine. Have you noticed no one puts seals on electronic devices today? This is why.
I would revise your warranty before the FTC gets a wind of it and levies a fine.

I was surprised when you went with the teraflex arms on the build. I knew their arms don’t have a bunch of misalignment and that’s not something that would work for what you guys do.

What’s your opinion on coil overs vs normal spring and shock setup now that you’ve had coil overs on the demon child and spring and shock on the step child. Are you switching to coil overs on the step child?

Naturally, on the back seat, I'd go behind the passenger, as it's the door that will usually face the sidewalk and would also be easier to talk to the driver
A remote air chuck for the compressor would be primo. Having to have a door or window open is pretty lame.

Grab some desert does it spacers. Will gain a ton of space under the seats. A plus is it is way more comfortable driving with the spacers. Make them for both driver and passenger. Brit will appreciate it on passenger side.

If you want to kind of match the color of your paint I'm pretty sure the rustoleum cranberry will be pretty close
I guess you guys gave up on the portable air compressor you had kind of reviewed and compared with other portable air compressors in an older video. I know the fixed mount can be more convenient; however, can get expensive if you are putting a compressor in more than one vehicle. Did the portable ones just break, not function well, wanted a "hard mount", or what?
We still have portable ones as well that we use for rigs without the onboard air. But for the vehicles with wheel often, onboard is more convenient in the long run
@@LiteBrite Thanks. I was just curious. I get it for the convenience. The mount for the air compressor from American Adventure labs was pretty nice. We do a little, light off roading and overlanding and need to do something for airing up tires. Since we use two different vehicles (Gladiator and Colorado), just trying to decide what to do. A portable compressor shared between two vehicles is more budget friendly. The "hard mount" compressor is definitely more convenient. Decisions, decisions..........

If I’m a rear passenger I choose to sit on the passenger side because in the event of a collision it’s more common for the driver side of a vehicle to be the point of impact. So it’s typically safer to be on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Depends on who I want to talk to. I sit behind passenger seat if I want to talk to the driver and sit behind driver if I want to talk to the passenger.
