. Great video. Very clear, organized, show you the way and the crossroads, good marks on the way. Beautiful photos in the end. I will do it next time I'm in Slovenia and will use your video as a guide. Thank you. Really great ❣
Thank you. Glad you found it useful. There is another route too you can see here: ruclips.net/video/MU7lXgg7pP0/видео.html From the roadside now, rather than go up the gravel road, just the left is a new section with steps up to the start of the trail. You can also read my article here, which I will update with an image of the new section asap: ianmiddleton.co.uk/two-great-hikes-next-to-lake-bled/
@@IanMiddletonPhotographyTravel Thanks. It seems that your first suggestion is easier so I'll do it. Also forgot to mention that what you suggested about the parking is very important too. Have you other videos of routes to hike in Slovenia?
@@ענתכהן-פ7ז The Zaka campsite parking is now 6 euro per hour! Train station is still the best option. 6 euro for up to 4 hours. Yes there are others in my channel. Just browse my videos.
Cool video and very informative! When I hiked to Mala Osojnica a few years ago I came up from the other side and it was much more difficult, there was a crazy set of steps almost vertically positioned into the rocks - actually quite dangerous in the snow and ice! Wonderful photos at the end.
Such a nice comparison with the other viewpoint. I think I'll opt for this hike. I am a little confused after Min. 3:49 which path to take for all the swaying around but assume it'll be disclosed when there. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. Yes there is that section where it can be a little confusing. There are markings so if you follow them you won't get lost. Even if you miss the markings, you'll still find your way there..
I did a street view of the starting point mentioned in the notes. I cant see any kind of obvious starting post. Is it obvious when you're there if you plug those exact coordinates into your phone?
Yes there is a wooden signpost at the start on the side of the road where it starts. You can see a photo of it here in my article. ianmiddleton.co.uk/two-great-hikes-next-to-lake-bled/
Yes definitely. It's beautiful now, and there is snow on the mountains. Just go easy because it might be a bit slippery. The full hike on this route is 40 mins. There is another route starting further around, which is shorter and steeper and takes about 25 mins. You can see how it looks in winter here, shot during the Christmas week just gone: ruclips.net/video/gNV9BzqlPnM/видео.html
@@TheAdventurousPair There is a car park at the campsite, but it's 3 eurs per hour. Best thing is to park at the train station up the hill, which is 5 eurs for the whole day, if the machine is working, which at the moment it isn't. In which case parking is free. More info here in my article: www.ianmiddletontravelwriter.com/dont-park-at-zaka-in-bled/
Is the climb to ojstrica viewpoint hard towards the end? I read in tripadvisor that one need to literally use two hand to climb on top. If u have any tips or tricks let me know please.
It's not that bad. There is one very short section with big rocks but my 3 year old did it with some help. You can see that in this video. ruclips.net/video/6JJsIq_vbfE/видео.html
@@IanMiddletonPhotographyTravel Sounds perfect Ian. A place that looks that good, you would think it would be swamped with hikers. Must be no bears in that area then? (Just checking).

Beautiful place. Does the track get busy at any time of the year? When is the best time to go?
It gets busier in the summer, but I've never seen it too overcrowded.
