The Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is a reboot/modern reimagining/whatever you want to call it of the original 5310 from well back in the day (when I could actually handle my liquor), but should it exist? Hopefully a full review coming soon, but let us know what you reckon!
i checked the Nokia store today and saw the phone SOLD OUT ofc. i really need that phone. but the other 2 phones coming seems nice to Nokia 8210 4G and Nokia 2660 Flip
I could honestly imagine myself going for this when I wanna get off the grid, but still wanna stream music, with basic sms and phone call functionality. Seems a good idea on paper.
but it has a horrible battery capacity not good for off grid stuff. maybe if they did make a rugged phone with how fat it is, you can fit the earbuds and huge battery get that camera away we got smartphones for that, and then put in basic sms and call functionality and that would be a good off grid item.
If it can stream Spotify or Prime Music then it's a game changer for the gym and dog walking and general outdoor hiking. I appreciate it when companies make phones fun again
completely agree with that one, its such a fuss having to keep my rather big phone near me while in the gym, having a small and compact phone would be best
I love the fact that HMD global is kind of bringing the old Nokia spirit back with the whacky phone designs. My next phone is definitely going to be a Nokia

With this, I hope to see a revival of Nokia’s XpressMusic line of phones and Sony Walkman phones. Back then I have owned a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and the Nokia N73 XpressMusic edition while my brother had a Sony Ericson Walkman phone (forgot which model) and we’d both argue often which is better as a music companion.
@@manishverma9395 They have the pro mode UI in the camera app that they inherited from Microsoft Mobile, but yeah, there's not much else in Nokia Android phones besides the all-Google software.
That's actually less feasible than great audio, as most of the image processing is done by the main CPU. Especially video needs quite some horse power. A good DAC on the other hand isn't particularly expensive or energy hungry any more.
Just did a double take and had to triple check my phone, laptop and desktop calendar to make sure I was still in 2022!! I'd almost buy one just for the novelty factor, but I'm sure that would wear out just as quickly as the battery life!!
Nokia's Xpress Music and Nokia's Music Edition series are awesome way back then. I owned Nokia N70 Music Edition and men that was a coolest Wired Earphones I've ever used way back. The bass the volume is so loud. Haven't met any earphones today that matches those that Nokia's quality.

I live in México, i will definitely buy it. It will be easy to go running or in a dog walk without worrying about my big cellphone get robbed. Also an app detox i hope you can make a review 🙏
I wish it could run a lite version of android of some sort to allow apps like overdrive and audible... would be perfect for audiobook and podcasts with a device like this
@@jaimeurielfonsecamexia396 what i don't like about their s30+ music player is that it sucks so bad. Namely: cannot create own playlist(i hate the most), very sluggish to navigate, no music search feature. I know because I currently have their 5310 the 2020 version. 😣😣
Finally something interesting from NOKIA after a long time... But they are not tired to disappoint yet with such a low battery considering the earpod as well as the absence of USB C charging. They seems not to realise few basics irrespective of market forces.
What I would've wanted from this phone: •USB c cause micro USB is literal dog water •bluetooth receiver transmitter mode so I can turn wired headphones into wireless for other devices since this Nokia phone has a headphone jack and lots of other devices don't and I'm fairly certain the Nokia will be used as a secondary or even third device anyways
to make it usable i wish that they make it can be used as mobile hotspot i know batterylife are kinda downer atleast we could use it as it and music streaming app i guess
Nokia should make another version focusing more on higher quality sound and input music services like Spotify and RUclips music. Would not be a bad idea to making it like an ipod mainly used for music.
They should make a touchscreen version of the 5710 included tws. I'll buy it for sure. I like small phones that remind me of old unique feature phones. Coupled with it being a smartphone and incluuded tws!!
Shame there is no Signal App for KaiOS. Anyway looks nice. All I need from a phone is to be small, has long battery life, music, few apps and removable battery
Curious to see how the fm radio works Back in the old days, it use earphone cable as the antenna But with wireless earbud approach? Hmm Maybe built-in antenna
Some of Tech Blog tried calling this a Feature, I disagree. Cause now when we hear "Feature Phones" we think of "Kind of Smartphones", not Basic phones, which is what I'd call this a Basic phone with a Gimmick it has it's own earbuds. Nokia needs to get up to par with Xiaomi DuoQin F22/F21 Pro and Agm series if they wanna be brought back into the glory and nostalgia that they once had in the 90's.
it plays fm radio on loudspeaker... nice. So the radio antennae is within the phone and not on the earbuds.... also why hate microusb...what do you expect?
I had the Nokia 5800 Music Xpress and a few of the Sony Walkman phones from the original W700 to the W995. The 5710 Xpress basically brings later wireless transmission protocols and the Bluetooth earphones, and all this is not good for battery life of this phone. Those Bluetooth earbuds may not be for everyone, but at least there are options. You are only off grid, if you turn off data, which can be done with any phone. The price seems fair and it won't attract thieves.
I am hoping the Nokia 5710 can be used as external speakers, tws can be connected to other devices, and it have music streaming service built in. I am sold if they could include that
I have a Sony MP3, NW-A25. You know, decent mp3 player, physical buttons, great sound. So battery is swelling, Sony do not have a replacement, they have other mp3 players, but those are either less memory and lower sound quality, or touch screen, which I am not in favour of. Therefore, I might consider such a phone as a replacement. Have you got any ideas or suggestions? PLease share!
Interesting, so people will basically be buying the buds, well it is sweet that HMD is actually doing , something different???... Now I really want to see what the express music reboot will look like
Why didn't they keep the XpressMusic name? Is it because of the copyright not carrying over or something? Because to be honest I like the old name way better than "XpressAudio".

How can you add a modern look to something that is meant to be a tribute to a popular feature phone? My Shozy Alien Gold has a very beautiful sound but in exchange, for 200 dollars, it has almost no electronics, not even internal memory.
Hey, will it allow for an iTunes app so that I can listen to my music I painstakingly put on my apple account library from hundreds of CDs? Asking as this is my biggest issue with any phone's capacity; I'd love to go away from a smartphone and just finding the right phone for the job remains. Thanks
