A Link to the Past is one of the best games ever created. It may be more than 25 years old at this point, but it still feels as fresh now as it did when I got it for my birthday back in 1992.
NintendoComplete had this as a kid loved it and just always was zoned into and still would play again if i had more time. Chrono trigger . Breath of fire . Ff7 were also real good. I knw im forgetting couple more that were real good classics

As of today, this game is 31 years old, and I was 31 when it came out. It's still a fun, but hard, game. I try to play through as much as I can on my own, but if I get stuck, I appreciate walkthrough videos like this to help get me unstuck. We didn't have RUclips or the Internet back then, but I remember beating this game, so somehow I figured it out. Those were simpler times.
It was exciting to finally figure out the puzzles. However, I did have a friend with a subscription to Nintendo Power Magazine. That had some solid advice.
then from the game boy advance version, exzactly 10 years later, in 2013 november 22, the legend of zelda: then a link to the past 2 but changed to a link between worlds. that direct came in april of that year. april 17, 2013.
This game still looks amazing one of my favorite games ever oh sweet memories of my youth i miss being innocent and just wanting to play Zelda or other games having fun without stress or adult problems
For those of you wondering about the background music being muted, this walkthrough was hit with a music content claim from an artist who used Zelda ALTTP music in their own song. That’s right, RUclips’s broken claiming system strikes again!
Thank you for this. Born in ‘83 I got to grow up with Nintendo and Zelda was one of my favorite series of games, especially this one. It’s pretty much perfect. It’s also amazing when you’re a kid playing this stuff for the first time. It’s great memories I’ll keep forever that include my family and Christmas and friends. :)
Oh yeah. Zelda and Castlevania were my favorites. I love these fighting/adventure games. This was good because you could save your progress. Going to school all the time....I didn't have much play time on it.
Dude same. I just turned 40 on Feb 11th. Although I began my Zelda journey with the original game and it’s sequel, Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past was where my love for fantasy in general and gaming really took off. Seeing these videos and hearing all the sound effects really bring back memories. It’s so nostalgic and awesome
When I played this game, I had my character do the exploration to get the Ice Rod before going to The Eastern Palace and getting The Pendant of Courage and The Pegasus Boots. They come in handy when your character doesn't have a lot of Bombs at first and still do since one of Kakariko Village's locals can't believe my character caught him. Then came The Book of Mudora and The Desert Palace for The Pendant of Wisdom. After that, my character got the fins from Zola, got the Magic Boomerang and a bigger Shield from The Waterfall of Wishing, and spent a lot of Rupees at The Pond of Happiness before getting the Magic Mirror from The Old Man on Death Mountain who was looking for his granddaughter and going on to do more explorations before going to The Mountain Palace and The Pendant of Power. The rest all fall into place, though the game devs needed to realize cute bunnies (Link's form before he finds The Moon Pearl) still have really sharp claws. I wish I could find a jeweler who could make a customized gold Triforce Pendant with a gemstone in the center of each Triforce to represent Power, Wisdom, and Courage. The Dark World's Golden Pyramid can't be opened with anything except the Super-Bomb and is where the Golden Sword (get the Tempered Sword from The Dwarven Blacksmiths' Cottage first) and the Silver Bow and Arrows can be obtained.
At that time I didn’t even know what Zelda was. It took me forever to figure how get the pendants. Good memories. Still have the same game cartridge as today.
Soon as I gain access to dark world village grab the titans mitt from level 4 dungeon then leave and do the quest for the level 3 master sword it makes the 3rd dungeon so much easier
Lady: "Link, they say you kidnapped Princess Zelda, but I still trust you." Link: Proceeds to then blow a hole in the wall of her home and steal some shit.
