  • Nick is ten years old and was diagnosed with autism. His progress in speech has been extremely slow. Picture symbols, picture exchange communication techniques and photos were tried but did not work out for him, as Nick was not really interested. When Nick started using an iPad, he immediately understood how it worked and really wanted to use it. The device was reinforcing and he sensed it was a powerful tool for him. Now that Nick is using an iPad with Proloquo2Go he no longer has to try to be what other people want him to be, because he can now initiate communication and say what he wants and needs. Nick lives in New Jersey, United States of America.
    Proloquo2Go is an augmentative and alternative (AAC) app.

    I know this video is old but it makes me so happy and hopeful seeing someone communicate with AAC. I'm working with my 3 year old right now and considering Proloquo2Go.

      For the people who cannot afford it, there should be grants available to special needs children to have it available to them. Ask your child's special education , school district staff.

    its a small cost for your child to speak, and speech therapy is very expensive every week and doesn't alway work for every child!! I can't wait to get it for my 4 year old son who has ASD.

    I don't understand something. My granddaughter has been using P2go for years. We cannot get to the "ing" endings of words easily. How is this done? Please let me know. Thank You!

    • @AssistiveWare
      @AssistiveWare  Год назад

      Hi - when you tap and hold a verb/action word you trigger an automatic popup that offers a button with the -ing ending. If you have more questions, please email our AssistiveWare Support team at support@assistiveware.com ~pam

    Why would the company make it so inaccessible to so many low income families? It's disheartening.
