People keep hating on Usopp for no valid reason. He's the only normal person in that group of literal monsters when it comes to raw physical strength. He's strategic and generally versatile. Usopp's fight in this arc is one of my favorite because my boy was on DEMON TIMING with his strategies. He was being a scaredy cat at first and then boom he thinks of a genius plan that happens to just go his way, W USOPP, A TRUE BRAVE WARRIOR OF THE SEA.
I'm with you on this.
Usopp and Sanji have two of the great fights of this series in this episode.
When I was young and stupid, I used to hate Usopp. Then I realized, he isn't a weakling and a coward. He's normal. He's us.
The man had every right to be afraid of the monster with the strength of ten men and a gun for a face, and the glorious long nose stepped up and actually pulled of the W.
One of my favorite early moments is Arlong seeing the true extent of Zoro's injuries and getting *shook,* to the point that he forgot all about his fishmen supremacy and decided he had to kill Zoro right then and there, he was that dangerous.
Zoro would have destroyed Arlong if he wasn't as injured as he was

Sanji is a modified human he has modified DNA he is basically a human weapon was supposed to be emotionless too but his mother saved him and he became the kindest person in one piece

Zoro and Sanji actually are built different, a long time ago someone asked Oda how some charcters were able to survive fatal attacks and lift things that would be thousands pounds without a devil fruit and Oda's response was that there's humans in OP and then there's super humans. Super humans are more durable and have more strength than a normal person, other races have supers too. Nami for example is a regular human and the villagers while sanji and zoro are super human.

Zoro now only has 1 main sword because the previous sword was destroyed when fighting with Mihawk. The one that survives is the sword inherited from Kuina Wado Ichimonji. The quality and strength are different, one day Zoro will find his new sword and return to being a three-sword style swordsman.
