Using WinISD To Tune A Speaker

  • When building I wasn't expecting this to be as big of a hurdle as it is. But, the reward is a huge payoff, I couldn't believe how much the box, port and tuning affected the sound quality of the finished speaker.

    Another tip, the vent velocity changes when you apply high pass and low pass filter.

    I don't think you factored in any voltage when you checked the cone excursion

      You know I think you're right, this was a while ago, but that definitely wasn't the only mistake.

      @@davewiebespeakerdesign only one I noticed hahah, Imy struggling to design my first speakers right now. Cone excursion is getting me badly, and if I fix it then I lose good bass response because I made the box smaller. I can't figure it out.

      Absolutely right " No power was applied " .....but the graph looks quite good without any severe spike...or looks manageable....

    im confused as hell I'm getting 126.093ft/s at 30.23 hz and i honestly dont get any port noise

      Sounds like somewhere a wrong number is entered. That would be chuffing pretty solid.
