I'm always impressed when Donnie Yen explains and gives examples
The godox v1 is already an excellent flash but this v1 Pro has reached perfection. The best cobra flash that has ever been produced
Thanks for your support!😀
That tiny little fill flash would most likely have a very limited range. I notice this photographer stands very close to the model.
I also notice when shooting indoors, the outside scene was blown-out. So the flash obviously doesn't have enough power to balance with ambient daylight.
You got it, the concept of the small flash is to fill the face of the subject during the flash jump. If you are shooting outdoors and need to overpower strong sunlight, we suggest you to use other lighting equipment, such as AD300Pro, AD400Pro.
@@cooloox ,
I really learned a lot from this video. Thank you. great job Aries and Godox.👍
I've been waiting to see Aries take the V1 Pro for a spin! Can't wait for mine to arrive!
I just made the purchase, I'm excited because it's already here!!!
great shots, gorgeous model
Always a pleasure to watch Aries in action.
I was wondering why this was so much more expensive that the V1 classic, but now I must have it.
Thanks for your support!😀
Definitely waiting to give a V1 Pro a test drive and eventually upgrade my already amazing V1
Thank you. It was very useful 🙌
Excellent review
Good to Aries, I missed your Lightening 101 lessons.😢
Good review, cool model! Thanks! For me selling point to upgrade my V1 would be centering modeling light to match 100% the flash light shadows. Otherwise usage of modeling light is often misleading. Otherwise no issues using my flash during 4 years already.
Great work like always!!!
Quick question, I see you tether your camera with an iPad, are you using Capture one?? Or Lightroom?? P.S. I like that case, where can I get one 😅😇
Let me know which mobile app on your iPad you use while shooting and tethering to it? Is it Sony's Creators App?
I think this v1 pro can also use external power pack PB960. This is also one important addition.
Great work on showing the flashes features. Could you explain how you use the iPad? I take it you have the photos being uploaded to it as you take them.
I like those tethering setup, want to ask is that ipad?
thanks for the video! I am not sure if to get this one of the godox ad300pro...?Any advice?
I keep seeing these new videos about the V1 Pro, but noone addresses a very important question. Does the V1 Pro work with HSS + TTL on Canon R-series cameras? The original V1 works in TTL 'or' HSS, but not both together! Together it fails and you keep getting full-power flashes.
Godox admits this does not work. Has it been resolved with the V1 Pro? If not, it's useless to many Canon users.
Currently Canon R5 cameras are compatible😀
great review. Happy to see you are using a V1S (pro here) (with metal shoe) on Sony camera. I have already broken two V1S simply by orienting camera in portrait vertical mode with flash horizontal with magsphere 2. The metal shoe is ok (plastic previous one broke) but the flash cuts into two pieces at the junction between flash big body (on which is attached SU-1) and the locking cylinder with lock button. This locking cylinder remains attached to sony a7rv while the flash body drops on floor and explodes. Many users have same problem.
Do you know if Godox made that "soldering/assembly" between two parts more robust or thicker ?
For that reason I moved to Sony F60-RM2 flash but new V1S pro could change my mind.
a pity Godox didn't make the two following features :
- same interface than X3
- compatible with a smartphone
Does it flicker when using TTL on camera without a trigger like the original v1 ?
Thanks for the Video, I will watch many times...newby here, just bought the V1pro. Never been a fan of flash, maybe just to lazy to learn!
Godox should make magnetic color gels for the small front flash! Sell kits! Glue on metal around the light...then attack colors. Would that have any benefit?
Superb VIdeo ... lovely posing and image capture. did you capture the images in the manual mode ???
Does anyone know for Canon version the high speed sync which hace an issue with older version does pro version fix the issue wil the high speed sync work with TTL now?
If I turn my camera vertical what’s the best position to turn my flash
Just missed the V1 Pro launch and bought a V860III for my Fuji, which also "works" on my Leica.
Also came to say the model is a doppelganger of Denise Keller! Who is she?
想问问桃子老师,V1pro索尼版在配合索尼M4机器使用的时候,在横竖拍摄转换的时候,是否还会遇到相机卡口接触不良的情况?
How do you not get hotspots on her face when pointing the flash directly at her? Sometimes i get that.
I mistakenly updated my V1 pro C with the V1 firmware and it has stopped functioning. How can i get the V1 Pro C firmware please?
Does the sub flash have to be mounted on the V1 Pro to work?
Yes.
I can give up on canon R but never GODOX!
hey mate i have a camera canon eos r8
i looking for a speed light and a trigger
i need your suggestion. which speed light good for that godox v1 canon or godox v1 pro canon
Would you like to try V1 pro canon?
yes
So we can use the Round Head + SU-1 at the same time ???
Yes
@@SlattwilliamsThanks ^^
O cara faz um demonstrativo de estudio com speedlight, sendo que 90% dos usuarios de speedlight usam em eventos sociais...
Is this flash compatible with the Nikon Z8?
Yes!
@@GODOXGlobalThnx!! Pre-ordered (not in stock), looking forward to try
ad200 pro has bad overheat. You can get overheat quite easy at power 1/4 and stronger. If this can do 100 shots at full power before overheat kick in. Then it is more useful than ad200 pro for me.
If you are into event photography or wedding photography, V1Pro would undoubtedly be the perfect choice.😀
@@GODOXGlobal Talking about AD200 pro, can your company consider making new version of it with greater output power yet maintain/reduce the size ? Not a big fan of the cylindrical shape of the AD300
Direct flash always looks awful, no matter how glamorous the subject. Silly gimmick.
Like it or not, direct flash has been “in” for a few years now in fashion and weddings
@@twelvethirtyfour I think it's more of a common mistake than a trend, but it won't age well either way.
I don't like to admit it, but I agree with you. Just to put it very bluntly, Godox is a company that need to produce new products to generate incomes to survive just like every other companies out there. I guess silly gimmick is better than no gimmick, they have to come out something "new" to give you the "reason" to upgrade" 🤣🤣
At least Godox hasnt sinked so low to the same level as some camera company where they merely updated the firmware of the older camera and sell it as new.....
It's absolutely not a "common mistake" when photographers are making $5000+ shooting that. It's still difficult to pull off in a way that looks artistic and less like a disposable camera.@@MrSimonj1970
so just remove the direct flash fill module (it detaches) or turn it off in the settings.
