Mudfish,blackfish,bowfin is the real name,never tried before but have caught some over 15 pounds. Now i learned you can eat them.keep up the good work,good video.
I grinned when you called ol Brody "Cadillac".... My grand-daughters answer to "Hot Rod" as often as they do Audrey or Amelia... along with whatever else ol forgetful PawPaw decides to call 'em :) Mostly "beautiful" or "sweet gal"... Looks and sounds tough. Here it could be sort of like shark, wahhoo, marlin or swordfish. Mahi is big deep wster fish but medium firm good for grilling, coating and frying, or even baked. Tuna - blue fin or yellow fin have more applications for eating and parrot fish, snapper superb for lightly grilling or baking.
I see you didnt run across any of them mating snakes at the swamp
