- Not your average 4 door! Powered by a Built 6L and a PT88 turbo and running on E92 ethanol, this thing hauls more than groceries. Weighing in at well over 4,000 lbs doesn't stop this 1000 hp G8 GT from knocking down a 9 second ET. It's running on 20psi, but it will soon be turned up and shoot for the G8 record!

there is NO way , you can push "918" horsepower out of a fckin 1.3 or 1.5L engine even with top of the line internals, boared out at the legal 60,000ths of an inch inside of the cylinder, adding a supercharger, and twin turbos, AND strip every single piece of metal in the car, and add bucket seats. NO possible way
He didn't say what size motor the car had. But you can make 900 horsepower with a 4 cylinderl, it can be done. Horsepower is defined by torque multiplied by rpm, so you can make 900 horsepower by producing either 450 pounds of torque at 10,000 rpms or you can produce 900 horsepower by producing 900 pounds of torque at 5,250 rpms. Now if you were to say it would be impossible for a motor of that size (1.3 to 1.5 liters) to produce 900 foot pounds of torque at any rpm, I would have agreed with you.
I'm always skeptical when someone runs a good time, but has N/T on the window, then shows a time slip, not hating but it's more believable when it's full disclosure. IJS
the track was set up as n/t, they are more lenient with saftey items, such as cages when no times are shown. if the times were shown i wouldnt be allowed to run under 11.49.

You can get the power in the block, but putting it to the ground is another story.

nice g8, but why the hell dont you have street tires to drive to the track like a normal person and put your drs on at the track...especially being a hour away from home. smh

Maybe the owner wants to drive to the track with the track tires on, would make sense to have the tires pre-heated up, before racing.
Also more convinient not having to switch tires at the track, less racing time, with having to swap tires at the track.
There is advantages to leaving the track tire on the car or switch to the track tires the day before, and drive to the track with the track tires on.
Then again one could get a set of tires thats D.O.T. approved for both track and street, then leave those tires on 24/7 ( 365 ).
