Just a quick tip when stabilizing your wood, after releasing the vacuum, you have to let the wood sit in the resin for at least two times as long as it was under vacuum or there will not be enough resin in the wood to make any difference.
A respirator and eye protection, and even some hearing protection, will absolutely help in every way possible....... great job tho... subtitles and links to tools would be great also
This is freaking awesome!!! Love the complex bevels, and the handle came out very nice. One note, don't use the blade to strike your ferro rod, use the 90⁰ of the back edge.
Awesome job but you should consider a voiceover or on screen text to explain what you’re doing. I knew the majority of your steps but most people won’t know what you’re doing.
Great looking knife. Well done. Just remember to wear your mask while grinding the metal. Breathing in the micro metal shavings isn't good for your health. 👍
@@norhythm100annealing is softening so yo don’t shit all over your drill bits. Hardening is a quench and temper, annealing is putting a hot blade in pear lite so it cools slowly.
this is anaamazing ,i am a knife maker and i have a question, what is this app taht appeared on 4:13 ? and i saw the A ( angle ) is 10.95, and you set the Jig on -9, what does -9 means ? is -9 = 10.95 ? thanks friend for help
Awesome looking piece. But, it's a bit boring with you not talking and explaining what you're doing. I had no idea what you were doing with the wood in the jar, then wrapping and boiling it.
Gee, another stock removal vid. Im glad he pointed out what he was doing or I would have been completely lost. You have a forge, use it next time to forge a blade to shape. You will respect yourself in the morning. The world does not need another stock removal vid. That is my story and Im stickin to it. It helps to anneal the metal before shaping. Also tempering a knife is also important. Way to thick, way too heavy imo. Forge On!!!
What an absolute pompous comment. Who are you to tell others how to make their stuff? Just because you have some weird fetish with forging doesn't mean everyone else has to live by those rules. If you were trying to provide actual constrictive criticism, then this isn't the way.
If you can't say something nice, why say anything at all? You are rude and offer nothing. I enjoyed this video and think it's a great knife for whatever the knife maker chooses.
Over the years I have watched several hundred if not thousands of knife making videos and this definitely falls into my top 10! Great job!
It would be VERY SMART if you put with subtitles the step by step of what you did. For example, the materials you used in the treatment of wood.

Really a great knive, one of my favorites, really really a great job!!
Non ho parole un capolavoro!!! Bravissimo.

Amazing! Very beautiful work! You are very gifted! Knife to be proud of!
I’ve always wanted to make a knife from a file. That’s a nice design, Great job!
Amazing 👏 🤩 🙀
Hi 👋 there, bro?!! Hmm, I have to say it, I love the way that knife 🔪 came out. I think you're going to be fine. Blessings 🙌 🙏

That is one sick looking knife. Awesome job!
Lovely job!!
Excellent work!! Clever tricks, too!! Regards from Chile!!

The knife looks cool 🙂🙂

Incroyable ✌️
Ficou ótima!
good job
Belo trabalho parabéns, um abraço do Brasil
Beau couteau et merci pour cette vidéo 😉👍🏼🔪
It was a incredible and beautiful work and your hands are wonderful. Just I would like to understand what was all that process with the wood for ?
Ficou top D+, muito bom
Never use your dial caliper as a scoring knife , that's how they break.
Files can be very brittle . I would use spring steel or a large bearing race
Take the top off cut and make a pocket pry bar!
Reminds me of the punisher knife in one of the punisher movies
Yep. It really does lol.
Wow good

Hello. Very good work. Could you tell me the name of the App you use to calculate the bevel angle? Greetings.
you should have annealed the tang before drilling the rivet holes.
Why? I always thought it was silly to harden a blade and then drill? Guess who's never made a blade? Yeah - me
@@norhythm100annealing is softening so yo don’t shit all over your drill bits. Hardening is a quench and temper, annealing is putting a hot blade in pear lite so it cools slowly.
@@LittleGreyWolfForge thanks for the explanation
❤
Where did you get the belt grinding attachment for the angle grinder please? Nice design for the knife by the way.
"Girl, you thicker than a bowl of oatmeal."
whats that sharpener called?
How much would you charge to make it?
Dope AF results, @ToolSon! This should be in a high-end sporting goods catalog and/or retailer (with an equally dope sheath/scabbard!)!
👌🏼👌🏼
EVERYTHING WAS GOING FINE UNTIL.... THE QUENCH... 😱
how much would you charge for a knife like that
Make a 8 inch blade like this out of Damascus and gimme a price. I need a new grill knife.
Name your price! Very interested
What is the name of that tool used on phone to calculate grinding angle/
Thanks in advance
Measure on iphone, it comes with the phone
Awesome knife?.........gimmie😅

That's a drill press, not a PUNCH press
👏👌🇳🇴🤠
So since no one else has asked…. What APP IS THAT???

They always say an old file. Do new ones not work the same?
Why use a perfectly good, completely new tool instead of one that's basically useless and long lived? It's recycling.
Old files are usually too rusted or the teeth are too worn down to use properly
@Kvitebjorn257 so I could just buy a new file a make a knife? I heard some people say the metal is not as good as older ones.
New files are case hardened usually, meaning that only the teeth are high carbon. The core is mild steel.
@@mrkiky thanks

Falscher Stahl. Zu viel C ca. 1,4 Prozent. Für ein Messer mit Schocklast ungeeignet.
There was no need to use pivot screws for the disassembled pistol grip.
Gluing was unnecessary to connect with screws.

Unoriginal
Too big to be a functional bushcraft knife and too small to be an effective chopper 😂way to fill that gap no one was worried about
If you can't say something nice, why say anything at all? You are rude and offer nothing. I enjoyed this video and think it's a great knife for whatever the knife maker chooses.
entertainment is function
Always use some kind of oil while drilling
