Fun fact: when you check everyone's cottages in the final chapter, you can see a glitched text with their last words/thoughts, and Chiaki tried to input the Konami code

You ever check out the dead student's cottage mailboxes during this chapter? You get garbled text that, if you manage to read, seems to be each character's last words.

I will be honest and say that Chapter 6 freaked me out from the moment it started until the class trial. The sudden changes in the Neo World Program, the visual effects when characters who had already died in the game spoke, the 8-bit music, suddenly snowing on the island... just everything. I didn't know what to expect and I was expetinc everything. Even something jumpscaring me.
I guess it's true what they say. Us humans fear what we don't understand or what we simply find strange.

People are going on about DDLC, but I was actually reminded of Metal Gear Solid 2. Not just the glitchy, meta aspect, but also the fact that Nagito grafted Junko's arm onto his body just like Ocelot did with Liquid's arm.

That's probably why when she said it's all going to plan when they said they wouldn't do anything. The true ultimate despair would be being trapped there forever in an endless loop.

Poor Chiaki...her actual death was so brutal and sad compared to her “death” in this game.
I love how DR 1,2 and V3 all make you think that the fourth wall has been broken when it hasn't. (In this case, Monokuma constantly referring to someone watching that they're familiar with, and then this revelation that they're in some sort of simulation/game)
But both in the first one and in the v3 the 4th wall actually was broken.
The only one that makes sense is the Goodbye Despair

I feel like most people here didnt even finish the game. If they would, they would know Chiaki isnt dead cuz she's still part of the neo world program. Her virtual death did not kill her in real world cuz she never had been there to begin with.

This OST genuinely made me want to replay DR2, probably the only game which I managed to play to chapter 2 without a single spoiler, also the last chapter was crazy and I loved it, as I loved the game, definitely going to replay it even if I actually don't like some things in the games, especially DRV3(I actually love the plot, and it is really pretty how the characters are well cured but some things in the game are really not okay..)

Essentially a nice 8-bit cover of the ikoroshia/ekoroshia melody.
To lean into the "glitch" aesthetic, that horrible atonal drone in the background is a really poorly bit-crushed version of the electric guitar backing from ekoroshia. In the Vita version, this song is properly called "ekoroshia [8bit bug]", as it should be.

i literally always have hated chiaki because of her character development, my sister was always telling me about it, until I finally finished sdr2, and after that i couldn't go to sleep without crying. Seeing Mahiru again, Gundham, it makes me so sad. and the fact that she tried to save Monomi makes me cry even more.

It's actually the backing track used in both ekoroshia and ikoroshia which is why you can hear bits of both.
