How much tape do you want to use?
“Yes!”😊
Thank you
Thanks for the comment Avtar Saini we appreciate the feedback and are glad you have found it useful
This is very good.. Thanks
Hey thanks Segun we appreciate the feedback. If there are videos that would interest you in the future don't hesitate to ask.
Hi there,
Wishing your knee recovered well!
Did you actually go to football after 2-3weeks?
Can I use regular athletic tape for this?
I just got a LCL sprain last weekend
I’m gonna have 2-3 weeks off football then goback when knee feels better.
Do you suggest tapping it for extra support as at the moment feels like it’s gonna buckle when I walk.
I was thinking taping it like you did ??
After a LCL sprain we would recommend strapping it for the return to sport but it is important to get an accurate diagnosis to ensure no additional injuries are missed.
Hello from the future. Surely your LCL sprain didn't resolve in 3 weeks?
Which type of tape i can use ? I am a footballer.
Tikeswar Kharsel I use a 38 or 50mm rigid strapping tape followed by a 50 or 75mm Elastic Adhesive Bandage. The different size is base on the size of knee I am working on.
The exact brand I am using is from Maxiplast this is a local company in Australia.
@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy wonderful.. I had a same question.. and I found the right answer
@@americanakitaplanetkarnal1028 thanks and glad you found it helpful
Can i play basketball with that taping tecnique?
Hey Ryan sorry for the delay as I did not receive a notification... Yes you can use this technique for basketball
Wow father is asking 2 yrs. Ago😁😁
I've got tear in my left knee's meniscus.🙂is it effective to the torn ligaments or its just for a pre remedial cause
Hi @Danny this taping technique is more for lateral ligament support regarding a technique that may be beneficial for a meniscal tear you may find this video helpful:
ruclips.net/video/aWQQHuuJ_Cs/видео.html.
It must be noted that the location of the meniscal tear and size is very important to determine if it has a chance of healing itself. The mentioned taping technique can be helpful in reducing the irritation the tear can cause on a daily basis.
@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy actually i have minor tear outside the red region of meniscus
What kinds of tape were used here please?
Do you only apply this while playing a sport or you can apply this daily and no sports? Like a support for walking only
I would use this for sport. If you need stability during the day your skin is unlikely to manage having tape applied daily. Realistically you need to get a diagnosis of what is causing the instability and get an appropriate rehab program to combat this
@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy i had a check up yesterday and i have lcl. he advised me to do some workouts in youtube to strengthen my knee. but i cant exercise yet since it hurts so im looking for a leg support to use. what do you recommend? is bandage wrapped around my knee okay?
@@samv1920 if it is just an LCL a form of hinge knee brace would provide a decent amount of support
Please, why exactly are we taping?
This is a technique used to provide lateral knee stability. Most commonly secondary to a lateral collateral ligament injury
Volume is so low I can barely hear.
Thanks for the feedback we will try and fix that in the future
Can u tell me why i feel my walk is jiggly and my legs feel different feel like they are on different position will this works for me? I can't wear jeans or any skinny clothes bcoz my legs feels different
Unfortunately without assessing your knee it is very hard to give any guidance. Realistically if your feeling/describing instability it is likely something structural and you need a trained therapist to look at it or require a scan to determine the damage. Sorry I can’t be much more helpful
@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy I think it's lcl or mcl bcoz it don't pain in my legs or anything I can still jump around do whatever I want it's just feels flex on my legs
Hey Devils unfortunately pain is not necessarily a good indication. If you are feeling instability I would be getting it investigated further.
Hope it goes well!
@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy would this tape method works?
@@faadee6083 not knowing what is actually wrong and the extent of your injury it’s hard to say unfortunately
can you play football with this? ⚽️
Yeah absolutely you can use this technique to play football.
@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy thanks for the quick answer
I'm a football player too, am I'm so sad this happed so early for me, I'm a 17-year-old girl. I just wanted to know will I ever be able to play back to normal without the fear of this injury happening again??
@@rheaferns3674 work on its strength
@@rheaferns3674 yeah, just make sure that when you get back to playing don’t overcompensate on your good leg because then you’ll end up injuring that one too. Your leg will still hurt even after you’re completely done with physical therapy but that’s normal it’s getting used to the intensity of the game, 2 years ago in sophomore year I ended tearing my mcl on my dominant foot and It hurt to shoot so I limited my self and when I was used to let’s say 70% I upped it up, just do that and you’ll be back! Lowkey know how you feel, that’s what I thought too bc the pain I was in since the way I tore it was two people one tackled me from the side and the other kicked me straight on my mcl and my first thought was I can’t get up and couldn’t control my knee, but you’ll be fine trust
Iam injured ( lcl injury )suggest any treatments please
The severity of this injury can vary immensely therefore I cant give any personal rehab advice but strength is a huge component of this injuries rehab
How can i send my mri repory to u ?
Unfortunately hemraz I can’t provide personal advice
