- Josh Allen Will be Franchise tagged according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, after not reaching a long term deal as of yet. This means that WR Calvin Ridley will likely hit the free agency market as the number 1 WR on the board for most teams. A risk, but not all bad if saving draft position is more important.

Uhh. No, they don't. But if you aren't sure about the 2 defensive guys, then trade em. Getting ahead means making a decision before the decision makes it for you.

"You should always do what's best for the team" which is precisely why we should have got a long term extension sorted out with Josh Allen early. Dude is the best player on your defence, a defensive captain, pro-bowler, season and lifetime franchise record holder and you out here saying "we need to see another year before we commit to you long term". Come on Trent. You told us we were a draft and develop team. You can't do that and then treat one of the best players we've drafted in the last decade like this and expect people to take you seriously. I think it's an example of Trent using the franchise tag to show everyone that he has the power, which is him doing something for his ego and status that is NOT in the best interests of the team.

90 million over 4 years is 22.5 million a year which would put Calvin in the top 10 WR earners (just behind McLaurin, just ahead of Higgin and Pittman). I'm not sure what we saw last season justifies that. If that's what it takes we might be better letting him walk and investing that in rookie wide-outs. Or at least we could be better going that route if we had a GM who was capable of selecting a good wide receiver in his entire history which we absolutely don't :-/

Bruh Ive beeen thnking the same. Different owners, different GMs, different coaches, different players, but somehow we mke the same mistakes. Mind-boggling
I love Josh, but I'm not re-setting the market for him. If Josh's agent digs in and refuses anything under $30 million a year, I listen to offers for him. I read where the Rams offered a pair of first round picks for Brian Burns last year. If Burns got that kind of offer, Allen definitely would. Allen is much better. Hopefully, this is not the case for Josh and he re-signs in Jacksonville for less than $30 million per year. As far as Ridley, I'm in the minority. I don't want him back. Yes, he was a 1000 yard receiver, but that was in 17 games. He had 9 games where he had less than 50 yards receiving. He's not worth big money. Let him go and draft a couple of WR's from this epic class. I would target Brian Thomas Jr. in round 1 and Luke McCaffrey in the mid rounds. We'd be much better off in that scenario than wasting big money on Ridley. We don't need expensive, mediocre players. Identify talent in the draft and develop future stars. Use the money we save by letting Ridley go and upgrade the interior O-Line and D-Lines.
It’s easy to blame Trent but I’m starting to feel like the blame should lie with shad khan. Ain’t no way he’s continuing to let Trent make football decisions for this team and watch the tires of this franchise just spin in the mud. I’ve lost all hope in this team and I have zero expectations for them as long as the current leadership is in place
Tagging Josh was the expected move. But now you traded a valuable pick for what may be a one year rental of Ridley. Bad trade if Ridley leaves.

Josh had 1 great year & 1 good year which was his rookie year. We’ll see if he disappears again this year. Im still not a full believer. Alot of those sacks where him running guys out of bounds or qbs falling into his arm. Some great rushes but man im not full sold. Good player though
so Josh Allen will probably be holding out like Engram did last year. Not participating in OTA's etc.. this doesn't feel like a front office we can trust.
