Don't forget to divert some of your heavy oil residue to a smokeless powder setup to use in crafting explosive rebar. It doesn't need to be a big setup since you most likely will be manually crafting the ammo as you need it. A single refinery and an assembler to make black powder using the near by coal and sulfur nodes should be a good start until you're needs require expansion/automation. Alternatively, you do still have 3 more unused oil nodes (2 pure, 1 impure) in close proximity to your current oil factory, so you could use one or more of those to make a separate setup. Maybe use the impure since you don't need the setup running constantly at your current stage in the game. As I have said in a previous video comment, noodle build mode works better for hypertubes while the Auto, 2D, and Horizontal to Vertical is better for pipes. If you are trying to make a very tight connection between a pipe and a machine, noodle sometimes is the only way to make the connection if the other build modes keep saying you have an invalid pipe shape. Just like with everything in this game, learning how to place pipes to make those nice corners the way you want is best by trial and error. Maybe make a platform and experiment with empty pipes to see how they bend both vertically and horizontally in each build mode. You might want to consider not using the Clean variant of the pipes. The flow indicator is good for quickly narrowing down the problem areas in a setup. Like where a pipe isn't connected or where you have inadequate head lift. Short sections you could use the Clean variant, but longer sections you should use the normal/flow indicator variant. BTW, no one has any idea how hard I had to suppress my inner Michael Scott from the US version of The Office when I typed "inadequate head lift."
- I indeed wanted to pull in the impure node in as I also want packed fuel. - The only reason I struggles more with those bends was because I am not sure if I can just those small pieces of pipes which I then would have as corner was something that is ok to have. Maybe it would influence the flow or... Much love from grandma Wendy 💖
When you're troubleshooting, and looking at the "E" panel of any machine, always look at both the input and output sides. Input "full" is good. Output "full" is bad! If any of the outputs fill up, the machines stop working... and then they start backing up the feeding machines farther up the line. (You looked at the "E" screen several times during your troubleshoot and didn't notice the heavy oil residue output was full.)
The worst part is that I know.. I should have seen that it was full but I didn't at the time. Took me a few hours maybe to get it the way it is but I did get it all done - Thank to you amongst others 🌹 Much love from grandma Wendy 💖
painting pipes doesn't avoid jams, but searching for bad connections (mismatching pipe color and 'bulge' color) becomes easier when you easily see which kind of fluid is supposed to go through a pipe, and thus you can more easily verify pipes, connections, or do new splits and merges.
I thought I had to paint them so it was clear in what pipe is what fluid, so I did. I don't fully understand what it is you are advising me to do, no paint and...? Much love from grandma Wendy 💖
Thank you so much theborg2638 🌹 It's such a beautiful area, I love to see it instead of looking at concrete - so this glass floor is amazing to me. but now the rest as it is still all floating 😊 Much love from grandma Wendy 💖
same as bends on belts ... which many people don't learn after Satis 1.0 got the new "sraight" buildmode, that does that automatically. And they also have announced to add that mode for pipes soon(tm).
@@decomposedcorpse5186 on release of 1.0 they said that they ran out of time to implement it yet for the original release (and i fully understand difficulties to add several automatic bends to a single pipe segment; belts are already difficult enough with doing slopes before or after the bend, and 90 degree bends when the start is not aligned with the world grid or other belts), and in some livestream they confirmed that they were working on it. _currently without computer access, its difficult to look up title or date_
2 steps, I knew it had to be something like that since that seemed to make the nicest bends. Dinosaurbob, does it matter if this is a loose piece of pipe then in a system, does that matter? So with a bit of luck we can a build mode for pipes just like the belts? Then I am happy that I learned to do it manually and also happy it will be as easy to do just like the belts, if they can add it that is. Much love from grandma Wendy 💖
Your pipes aren't going to fill up because you're using everything farther down the line. Pipes will only fill if you put in more than you take out (until the pipe is full, of course, then you won't be able to put more in.)
I only placed it as I was searching for what I had wrong, I was just trying to see if maybe it couldn't go up that little bit anymore. Yes, power is stable ever since so I got there in the end. Much love from grandma Wendy 💖

To turn a pipe with a sharp, clean 90 degree bend, it's 2 "steps" off the center.

Yes, I understand indeed now, makes absolute sense. it just did not after all those hours anymore 😊

you can get rid of that pump under the top (generator) floor. It's not needed. Technically, everything else should now be working as is.
I only placed it as I was searching for what I had wrong, I was just trying to see if maybe it couldn't go up that little bit anymore.
