Thornley will literally have a hard-on at prospect of Sexton coming back in any capacity given he has managed to namecheck Sexton in majority of his articles even post-retirement.
Lads.... brilliant podcast as usual. Covers all bases to a good depth. A tip for the production meeting from pedantry corner is that ye agree on how to pronounce the surname of the new Connacht 10. Bernard's Eye - Oh - Nee Or Neil's Yo - wah - nay (my vote) Jokes aside... keep it up lads and enjoy the Autumn's Rugby.
Farrell believes in winning every game against the top countries.. He believes in continuity and has a knack for spotting talent that others miss. I gave up bitching about players left out after our last game against the Boks. Farrell knows best.
@@patrickoleary2862 the car crash? winning every group round beating the current world champions on the eventual world champions losing by four points to argue be one of the greatest teams to ever exist and buy a dodgy decision in the end. That’s hardly a car crash. A car crash will be if they lost group stages and were absolutely hammered in the quarter-final. They weren’t cop on will you?
@@SmcdMcd-d2kOk so I guess we watched different campaigns. What I saw was Andy Farrell fail to rotate squad adequately while keeping injured players in squad / fail to properly address lineout issues apparent since early 2023 / fail to ensure that penalty opportunites were kicked (which left them needing miracle at the death v NZ) / fail to replace Sexton long before the end when he was obviously out on his feet - speaks to Sexton being allowed to become bigger than the team + am sure Jack Crowley learnt loads sitting on the bench watching them go down in flames. Add it all up + come 2027 we'll be marking FORTY years of an Irish team trying to get past RWC quarter-final. But we won all our group games + "only" lost to NZ by 4 points?? It's not real world - all the "Andy is infallible" stuff has to be called out or we guaranteed will face same fate again in 2027.
Says the lad from Wales.😂 Sexton reads games better than most and Ireland have new 10s and he will mentor imo. And do you know what? Rog went on to become a great coach and Ireland identify the next stage in career development.
Fair play for waiting for the squad to be announced 🎉
After his amazing acting performance in those Mace adverts, I'd have thought it was Next Stop: Hollywood for Johnny
😂
Thanks for the time stamps Neil. Nice one. 👍

Respects a brilliant player and leader

It's Yo-ah-nee. Pronunciation has never been Bernard's strong point.
Neal! I usually listen, so in watching I realised you’re half the man you used to be. Looking good!
Suidge will be v happy at the return of sexpot.
Bringing Johnny Sexton in Is a great move from Andy Farrell🤔👍
I'm confused Johny just told us two weeks ago on good bad rugby that he would never coach and loving his normal mans job?
@@Dinkybear622 probably had his fingers crossed when he said it. Be a shame not to pass on all that knowledge.
@@christinabyrne6986 Agreed.
Delighted Saxton is in 😊
LEINSTER 42 MINUTES IN 👌
I would've watched at least some of this if it had time stamps.

Why ppl question him is beyond me
@@SmcdMcd-d2kGuess you missed the car crash that was the Irish RWC 2023 campaign.

@@patrickoleary2862 What a silly comment. Try being a supporter, this ThickTalk-grade fan spiel gets old real fast.

Should have brought RoG back
Can you please sort out your mics? Honestly, we're long past the days of COVID and working with sub par tech. RTE should get you a proper set up.
Sexton wouldn’t add anything...
