  • OUR STAY AT CAMPING INTERNATIONAL LA HALLERAIS.
We're on the run homeward, heading northwards, towards the ferry....but still have a few days to kill, so decide to visit the medieval town of Dinan in Brittany.
The campsite we choose to stay at is around a 15 minute cycle to the town, along a lovely riverside cycle way along the River Rance.
It's a great campsite with acessible cycle routes nearby, and good facilities. a spot we would definitely visit again.

Hi both. This brings back happy memories of Summer 2019, when we stayed here with my son.
It's a nice, clean, mostly quiet site, even in high Summer, in a very civilised part of the world. There were no loud evening events when we stayed, but there is a nice shop for morning pastries and a restaurant with take-away pizza in high season.
It's a great base for exploring both Dinan and St Malo.
Looking forward to the Dinan video, which is one of Rick Steves favourite towns in Brittany...

Hi Hywel. Nice to bring back some good memories!
And....agreed. It's a lovely, relaxed site. Can't believe this was our first visit to Dinan.
It certainly won't be our last, that's for sure. 👍😊🚐

Hi guys we have stayed here a few times. lovely site. Because we have a VW like Ruby we sometimes stay in the small car park that you passed on your bikes . We had a couple of days there last September as we were touring Brittany. As you have discovered like us in France you can travel miles without seeing a soul. Hope you are both well xx

Hi Michael. We are both very well thank you, and can't wait to get back to France.
We've seen lots of really nice little overnight spots for campers along the canal and rivers, now we've got the bikes. Like you say.... Perfect for a quick stop ! 👍🚐😊

Lovely site, we stayed there for 4 nights in September 2023. In season there is a free bus from taden into dinan.

      Hi Paul.
Good little tip to know about the bus. Dinan is a lovely town....and I can see a night out on the town, which may require 'alternative' transport to get back to the site. 😉🍷🍷

Great review - thanks. Just found your channel as we're just starting to plan a few weeks with the van in Brittany around mid June/early July. Its our first van trip to Europe so a little nervous and wondering if you pre-book all your sites or if you wing it a bit and do it as you go? Also wondering if you've been there around June and if so what its like for finding sites etc? Enjoying your reviews and vlogs - thanks

Hey there Griff. Thanks for watching. We pretty much always travel exclusively in June and September....in the off season, and we never book a site. At that time of year, it's very unlucky to not be able to get on a site... And even if you can't, there'll be an alternative within easy distance.
In terms of places in Brittany.... hit our playlist tab on our homepage, and it lists all our trips..... with the month/year we made the trip in the description. ....they're pretty much all Brittany as it's our favourite place to visit in France...,.. so lots of campsite reviews/area info to check out!! Enjoy!!👍😊🚐
