still waiting for falling ice

The blomstranndbreen is a very active and famous glacier. Since my stay in Ny-Ålesund it has retreated more than 3 kilometer. Making the name of the island Blomstrandhalvøya in to a lie. It is not a peninsula, it is a true island. At present 4 islands have emerged from under the glacier.
After a visit with botanists to Gerdøya, we let the boat float close to the glacier, waiting or hoping for a big chunk of ice to fall. Video 2 of 2.
