Maybe something to really stress on is that most regular lights are 'yellowish' and, at least for me, makes it hard to see the difference in some dark grey / dark blue elements for instance. Having a true 'white' lamp really fixes that and makes it a LOT easier to tell similar colours apart. Other than that still a good and fun review, even though it's something entirely else than Lego :)
Interesting video, I like how you’re branching out to other topics! Personally I don’t need a desk lamp, my cheaper ones are fine, this lamp is one of those pretty dang fancy items, that well built, but comes with a hefty price tag for the average person. If I has ~$220 to spend, honestly, I would spend it elsewhere, on other hobbies, because I could get a lot more use and fun out of that money.
I have 2 lights on my desk which seem to be fine for me one of them is brighter than the other but has a wider range, the brighter one produces a lot of heat useful if I use modelling clay to make custom lego minifigs, for reference for how hot it gets if I leave a minifig under it for half an hour - an hour the lego starts to melt a bit. I also prefer lamps that have a more traditional lamp shape on.
Ayyy you use IKEA LADDA batteries too. The new grey ones are lower capacity but double the amount of cycles, not sure what to make of them. I still have some of the white ones, AAA for my trains and Mario :)
Lighting is always a struggle when building Lego especially as the years pass... have yiu ever had the opportunity to try one of the Dyson lamps, I'm considering one but as they are expensive I'm not quite ready to hit "buy" just yet
Zero connection to LEGO. I get many of these automated collaboration / review offer e-mails, I guess they are simply spamming all RUclips channels above x subscribers and wait for that 1 of 1000 who replies...
I personally use an Ikea adjustable desk lamp. It's not the cheapest but can easily focus on precise locations when building tiny details
I was just about to mention the my IKEA lamp too. It clamps on to the side of my work table, built really well and the adjustment is amazing.
@@PerfectlyUselessComment mine is the one with the heavy stand, works nicely as well
Can you share the name of the models please

I like how this video is in identical format with all the other LEGO reviews
Racing Tech has just been born! 😁

I've got at least a hundred of those LADDA batteries, but I am just testing another exciting solution, stay tuned :)
Will you post instructions? 🙂
Step by step video instructions are included for free in the review! :D

Nope, I had this Xiaomi I showed in the video, before that I used custom made LED strips but the quality was not great
@@RacingBrick it is a struggle getting the perfect set up in regards of lighting.
@@msp5616 true. I'll be testing this BenQ light in the upcoming months and will share my experience for sure
How in the world does yarn relate to plastic bricks? Seriously, I'd love to meet the guy at the company who came up with the idea.

@@RacingBrick that sounds concerning, how did they have access to emails?
@@TheChristmasWarrior there's a contact e-mail for the channel, I guess there are automations to collect that data despite the built-in captcha
For this price, have a look at Artemide Tolomeo lamps...
But what about the yarn
I missed the opportunity, would you guys be interested in an in depth review next time? :)
Why not make a Lego lamp ?
They seem to ship only to US addresses, and I was thinking of getting one for my wife 🤔
You should try the EU page - www.benq.eu/en-eu/lamps/desklamp/wit/specifications.html
