Excellent insight, BJ. I never knew that about Bill Cartwright. Also, preach about Jordan was a blue collar defensive guy who happens to be the greatest offensive player in the NBA. No weakness at all.
BJ worked for the Bulls organization after his playing days were over. He knows a lot of people over there personally. He worked for Krause. You can hear him being careful in all of his answers.
He seems pretty intelligent and has a masters and PHD degree in how to answer a question without answering the question. He needs to get out of here with that. Last Dance is about honesty and you can see inside dynasty and how management has different values then what the game is about and what jordan represents. No one whats to hear these PC answers he is giving. People want the raw truth about reality and what happened during the most dominant legendary dynasty led by MJ
His answers may not be thought provoking or even offer too much detail that we don’t know already. But he’s eloquent and poised. He knows how to compliment each person’s strength and avoid jumping to the bandwagon bad mouthing someone. I’m sure he’s doing well after his nba player days.
I grew up in Detroit. BJ and i are the same age. Being an off guard, BJ was the guy we all wanted to play against to see if we were as good as we thought. He was a star for Brother Rice. Never got that far to play against him but it was obvious he was going to move on to the NBA. even then.1985
I Get the feeling listening to bj that there was a lot more to the madness but he is trying is best to be nice and diplomatic in his answers not to upset anyone nor to burn any bridges.
What BJ is saying about basketball in the NBA being a business and at anytime you could be traded or moved is true but we are talking about the GOAT ...Michael Jordan. He was like no other player in the league at that time bringing in multi millions into the Chicago Bulls organization and into the city of Chicago. He wins...brings you 3 straight NBA Titles....retires for 18 months...comes back and brings you 3 more NBA Championships in a row again??? At this point you let Jordan have and do whatever he wants. And what Jordan wanted was to keep that 98 Bulls team together with Coach Phill Jackson back as well. Jordan said it best when he said that team deserved to defend what they had. When they lose in the Finals then ok it would be time to go and Jerry Krause could rebuild but to treat Jordan and Phill Jackson and especially Scottie Pippen the way Jerry Krause did was truly stupid and disrespectful. And I believe star players that came later took notice of that and thought why would I want to go to Chicago and play for Jerry Krause? If he treated MJ and those Bulls like that how is he going to treat me??? Jerry Krause never put another championship team together and ended up retiring as the Bulls GM in 2004. Only 6 years after he broke Jordan's Bulls up. Smh. A player like Michael Jordan does not come around often.....Jerry!! 😆 🤣
Given that BJ was so young looking, and a smaller player on the court, he was my favorite Bull as a kid. Of course I loved MJ and Pip, but I’ve always been a contrarian and fan of the underdog
MJ: BJ ? Can...can...can...I...ask you something please ? With your permission sir. BJ: Thank you for asking so nicely MJ. How may I be of assistence ? SMDH LMAO. All these people who never played competitive team sport really are clueless.
I always liked BJ in the first run as he seemed relateable. He's a well-spoken guy. Think about if the bulls would have kept him in the expansion draft at the 93-94 season. Maybe then the Bulls don't pick up Kerr, which would have had a ripple effect down NBA history to the present.
FYI, the expansion draft was after the 94-95 season (Raptors and Grizzlies started playing in 95-96 season) and Steve Kerr joined the Bulls ahead of the 93-94 season and therefore played with BJ. After the Magic beat the Bulls in 1995 playoffs in part because of Penny Hardaway proving too big and too much for BJ to handle (understandable as Penny is 6ft 7in and BJ about 6' 2"), Phil Jackson decided he needed to have height in the backcourt by pairing Ron Harper with MJ. So even if Bulls had kept BJ, he would have been downgraded to coming off the bench.
At least the Pistons and other teams could play until they lost the BUlls weren't afforded that luxury. Thats what irks Michael Jordan. He felt that was unfair and he was right.
Boring interview with BJ, he's playing it pretty close too the chest, he is a NBA agent, so wont get into any story telling, being very conservative and thoughtful on what he is saying
This dude is such a bad interview. Sounds like a politician the way he vaguely addresses each question. I’ve listened to previous interviews with him and I can pick up on some jealousy with him not being a apart of the second three-peat.
he's seen both sides of the the team as a manager and as a team member. You want him to blame someone specifically, when it sounds like he is placing blame on everyone. Like he said he had a job to do! He also worked with Krauss in management. And he is trying to accurately explain this whirlwind as well.
Excellent insight, BJ. I never knew that about Bill Cartwright. Also, preach about Jordan was a blue collar defensive guy who happens to be the greatest offensive player in the NBA. No weakness at all.
Man, saying that MJ is not gunning for points but wins further solidifies him as GOAT.
BJ worked for the Bulls organization after his playing days were over. He knows a lot of people over there personally. He worked for Krause. You can hear him being careful in all of his answers.
Yes. I really didn't hear him answer any the questions presented to him.
Yeah he skirted a lot of questions. Not a very interesting interview. Not good enough. BJ was too measured.

He's an agent. He's not trying to burn any bridges.
M.J is the G.O.A.T period.
B.J. lit up that three point contest. I'll never forget that performance.
Bj hit some big threes for us
Yeah he did.. Especially that Suns series

He is a pretty successful Sports Agent.
BJ sounds like a politician. He should campaign for senator, or even president.
Yes, I noticed his political skills when he failed to answer half the questions lol
Why would he ruin his career for gossip?
@@turdferguson3855 - BJ Armstrong is an NBA and NFL agent now.. saying the wrong thing could have him lose millions in future commissions.
I don’t want the deep state to corrupt him don’t say this man
@@bob4433 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm an Iowa Hawkeye. BJ is the only reason I rooted for the Bulls back in the day.
Love Bill Cartwright kept things in line
the way he beats around the bush the whole time got me rollinnnnnnnnn
Brilliant insights, great interview

Spoken like a true politician, danced around everything
BJ Armstrong! great memories of a great role player!
Did BJ answer any questions? :)
In a word...No.
I love bj telling the truth
I watch BJ growing up and he hasn't aged only me. BJ is a vampire.

Great interview!!! Interesting insight about chaos.
MJ is the goat. LeBron is the gloat, "I feel confident because I'm the best player in the world".
Great interview
Bj avoided answering the questions
Yeah, he is now a top player agent. Its his job to blow smoke.
He didn’t answer one question lol
Given that BJ was so young looking, and a smaller player on the court, he was my favorite Bull as a kid. Of course I loved MJ and Pip, but I’ve always been a contrarian and fan of the underdog
Did he ever curse you out? What kind of question is that? They are grown men in a locker room. How do you think they talked to each other.
MJ: BJ ? Can...can...can...I...ask you something please ? With your permission sir.
BJ: Thank you for asking so nicely MJ. How may I be of assistence ?

BJ would make an exceptional politician. Or a PR guy.

We need LUC!!
I'm curious to know if he was interviewed at all for this documentary.
@ShartLord OK. Maybe too expensive to fly down to Australia, budget-wise.
B.J. Scaredstrong
Is Phil Jackson that gifted and talented as a coach or is mj pippen Kobe n shaq gifted as player's which one 🤷🏾♂️
A combination of both.
who would give it to him (MJ)?
Robert Parish gave it to him :-)
The Sakuragi of bulls... Wearing #10
At least the Pistons and other teams could play until they lost the BUlls weren't afforded that luxury. Thats what irks Michael Jordan. He felt that was unfair and he was right.
If you had a team that was ready to win, then Phil was the guy to get you over the hump. Then there are the Knicks..
Cartwright told Jordan he'd never play again if he kept telling the team not to pass him the ball.
All LeBron teammates need to hear this. . .
BJ is an agent...
Wow
Did this guy actually answer any of the questions ??
Boring interview with BJ, he's playing it pretty close too the chest, he is a NBA agent, so wont get into any story telling,

Everything ends badly or it wouldn't end
wait 11 time scoring titles? ithought it was 10 :S
B.J did not answer not one question
You didnt play with MJ! You played for him BJ lol jk he's cool
MJ won a record 10 scoring titles, not 11. But, oh well.
Why? The owner...
Inez Qtaish say in my dream, my niece maxine Thorpe apartment looked dark and gloomy
That was the worst interview ever. Should of had Will Purdue!
What?!? Bro BJ was awesome in this!! Love Will also but this was great man. We all do see differently so it's all good.
