as a female Veteran, I loved every part of The Women. It was so beautifully written - a great story and plot while also addressing what our veterans endured post-Vietnam. As you said, I have seen zero negative feedback on it and nothing but 4-5 stars from the bookish folks I follow! My TBR is so long but by end of year I want to re-read Fourth Wing & Iron Flame in preparation for Onyx Storm, as well as start the CC series in November with the It Gets Good Podcast book club!
GIRL! ACOTAR is life changing!!! You need to make it a priority lol I had never read fantasy before and was really against reading that genre until my friend forced me to read the first book haha. It takes about half way through the first one to start to getting sucked in. But then I flew through the rest of the books so fast. SO obsessed and still think about it all the time. I read a ton of books. I don't often say a book has changed my life. You won't regret it! lol
I seriously cannot believe that the year is already more than halfway over! It goes so fast when there's a never-ending TBR list you want to get through 😅 Darling Girls & The Great Alone are both on my TBR, i'm hoping to Darling Girls this summer, since the US cover is giving summertime to me. Currently reading Wild Love and I'm LOVING it so far 💗
I started reading ACOTAR in June. What helped me was finding the first in the audible plus catalog and I’m now on third. 1 is so good, 2 is so so good, and I’m about half way into book 3 and things are hitting the fan and I’m enjoying it. So maybe audio is the way to go? I honestly don’t think I would have gotten to it otherwise. Just gotta do it. The people who have raved about the series are not wrong. Loved loved The Last letter, I hope you get to it.
I really enjoyed You With A View, however her latest "The Ex Vows" is phenomenal! Had me giggling kicking my feet, I can't describe how much I loved it. Absolute magic. Definitely a favourite of the year.
Ohhh I can’t wait till you read the last letter and the boys of tommen. I’ve only read binding and keeping 13 so far but trust me they don’t feel as long as they are. You’ll fly through them! The last letter is one of my favs ever. It’ll definitely make you cry!
I’ve been listening to the audiobooks of Boys Of Tommen and it’s so amazing! I’m on Saving 6 now and almost done with it I think you’ll be addicted. I’m on Magnolia Parks now and I’m currently on book 4 and wow I love it so much. And girl yes you need to read Acotar A Court Of Wings And Ruin literally ruined me 😂 but it’s sooo amazing!!!
Love Redesigned mentions a character from the Dreamland Billionaires series and I think he shows up for a minute in the book, but it's pretty minimal from what I remember so you definitely don't need to read it to understand Love Redesigned.
I just started the Chestnut Springs series last week and I’m obsessed! Heartless just arrived last night and I dropped everything to start reading! I’m definitely in my cowgirl romance era, so I want to read Lyla Sage’s books soon! Also, a nice intro to fantasy is A Fate Inked in Blood! It’s a Norse mythology/fantasy! A few non fantasy reader friends of mine loved it!
I read The Lovely War and liked it. I’m not sure it was a 5 for me though. The Women and The Great Alone were good. I also lived her books, Summer Island and Winter Garden. My favorite is still The Nightingale. That’s one of my all time favorites!
I read love redesigned and never read dreamland billionaires! They’re spin off series of each other so you get mentions of people in dreamland billionaires but it’s not important to know who they are imo
That is funny. I am going to buy and read lovely war because of destinys page as well… and READ BINDING. and Keeping, they will destroy you but they’re the best books I’ve ever read.
Okay but the first book in the ACOTAR series doesn’t do it justice!!! Please please push through at least till the second one!! (A court of mist and fury).
Love redesigned was really good too!
I really liked Wild Love. Great Banter!
Kristin Hannah can do no wrong! Those are my two favs of hers ❤

Binding 13 is one of mine too
Yay!! Glad to see the feet alone make the list!! If you need a more summery Kristin Hannah; Four winds. Texas dust bowl. ❤️❤️

The Last Letter is fabulous as is the Women. I recommend both of them to everyone.

I just finished Darling Girls a week or so ago and it's pretty good! Great Alone was tooooo depressing for me, but The Women is INCREDIBLE.

I love Caraval but not as much book 2 and 3. Definitely love The Great Alone and The Women.
