Honestly? No. The top is 60cm x 40cm, the fence is 10cm x 60cm and 6cm wide. The bottom part is just long enough to go on the braces. And the pieces glue the top are just bigger than the router base so that you can clamp on them. Feel free to make yours smaller or bigger.
I don't have a lot of spare room in my shop so I've been wracking my head/scouring the internet to come up with an idea for a quick and easy table. Tried a few other methods that didn't work out so well. Your idea, as others have said, is pure genius. Especially the clamping blocks underneath for the workbench!
Bloody brilliant. I have been trying for ages to work out an easy way to make a router table to suit my plunge router. This is the best method I've seen yet. What's more - I have everything I need in the shed to make an exact copy of what you have shown here. Thanks mate.
Klasse!
I am so lazy to think of a hack since a lot of brilliant young men like yourself are doing it. And when i say brilliant i mean just that. Congratulation and salute to your unselfish character for sharing such a useful idea.
I have the same router, the same drill and the same bench as you. I even have the my old car jack as that one. This is *exactly* what I was looking for! Dude... Thanks!!!
Great video! I had an idea for the Workmate table for a DIY router table and searched. Here I am. There is nothing new under the sun! I plan to make mine from 1/2 inch (12 mm) plywood and with strips of nominal 2x2 (50mm x 50mm) reinforcement around the mounting point instead of hogging out a relief. It's what I have on hand. The car jack is a great idea.
you definately need a sign outside your shop which says: "Genius at work!" proper work bro, as always!! clean, funcional, simple & low cost are just a few qualities of your crafts - what could you expect more of a tool? you're an idol to me Ollari! thanks alot for your videos, they're much appreciated!
Ollari's. I think it's all the better for no voice over, just handy and clear. The fact you took the time to make the video and randomly help literally thousands of people! Again thanks, I'd like to buy you a beer.
Wow brilliant. I have the same gear at home to make this router table so in theory I should be able to copy what you did. HOWEVER... I can "guarantee" that it's gonna come out looking like Gilligan made it from coconuts and stuff he found on the island. The old saying goes "You learn from your mistakes". That being the case, I should be a bloody genius by now. But I'm gonna have a red hot crack at it. Thanks for the video mate. Much appreciated.
I've watched several videos about making router lifts. Most require a threaded rod in a complicated enclosure. Yours, like the title says, is "quick and easy". Excellent idea, I'll be making one. Thanks for the video
This came at the exact time where I was trying to figure out this build! Thank you so much! Now I'm completely confident that I can accomplish this myself! Many blessings to you!
That is genius, so simple but so functional! I love the incorporation of the jack, that is fantastic. Can't wait to build this for myself and finally have a router table!
Bloody BRILLIANT IDEA !!! Simple, easy to follow, even without commentary. GENIUS!!! I've subscribed without even looking at your others videos! Thank you for sharing.
I use the same router lift lol. Really easy to dial in. My setup is similar but it’s attached to my miter station. I showed it in my plywood challenge video. Cheap and easy.. love it!!!!
I was looking at an old computer table with a twist lift for the keyboard tray, earlier today… (to use in a similar fashion) but this is some crazy Mumbai style router lift. I dig it.
Yet another use for a “workmate” type bench. Great thing here: you don’t really “use up” anything permanently except the wood itself and a few screws/nails- the router, the bench, and even the jack are easy to remove, with under one minutes effort. Great design.
I was looking for ways to raise and lower the router for the table I built yesterday, so happy I found this video! This solution is brilliant and simple in a "why didn't I think of that" way 😂 Love it!
A great idea using a clamping saw horse as the main structure for the router table! Due to my limited garage space I’ll definitely be building one of these. Thank you 🙏 👍😎🇦🇺
Just found this on you tube ...pure genius!! I am definitely making this I have already ordered a scissor jack from the auction site and I have a spare collapsible bench .. Thank you so much for sharing .,Brilliant !,
Excellent execution and a very convenient set up. Even the fence is 'just right' and not bulky. I have the same work bench and will fit my plunge router as you have. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Nice job, the use of the jack is just ingenious! It made me laugh and then made me feel stupid for not thinking of this idea myself. Cracking job mate 👍🏻
A jack to crank it up and down. Perfect for my 2 1/2 hp Harbor Freight plunge router. I bought a Bosch RA1181 Router Table days ago, and it looks like its not going to work with a lot of modifications. Will be sending it back.
Thank you for your presentation. How is it possible to mill the recess for the milling machine freehand? Isn't freehand milling a bit dangerous? How did you do it? First the edge, then swivel 90° and cut the centre?
I wouldn’t call it dangerous if you are familiar with a use of a router. That said be always careful with powertools. As you said cut the outer edge first than the inside.

FINALLY!!!!! Someone with a plunge router makes a router table and addresses the Plunge part!!!!!! Thank you soooo much. Off to build my own.
A clear straight forward description of a practical project. Now I see a way to set up a router table using equipment I already have. Thank you.
I’m glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
